Star Wars Celebration 2025 SWTOR Featurette Teases Future Story Content

On the second day of Star Wars Celebration 2025, Broadsword showed off a featurette for SWTOR during the live show, highlighting the best moments in SWTOR’s storied past and teasing what’s still to come in Legacy of the Sith.

The first few minutes of the video, narrated by SWTOR’s Narrative Director, Ashley Ruhl, showcased some of the many high points throughout SWTOR’s 13 years of storytelling and expansive gameplay. Even GSF got a nod!

For the most part, this portion of the video was meant to draw in new or previous players, and it’s great that Broadsword had the opportunity to present the game to such a large audience.

The final minute of SWTOR’s Star Wars Celebration 2025 featurette was really a trailer for Legacy of the Sith, a mix of recapping the expansion story so far, and a few new tidbits.

Return of Darth Jadus

After 13 years, Darth Jadus is finally coming back. He’s sporting a modified version of the R-4 Anomaly armor with new pauldrons that better match his original armor.

It’s unclear if he had something to do with Lady Dominique and her underlings, or if it’s just a life support suit.

Visiting the False Emperor’s Derelict Throne Room

We got to see a shot of the wreckage of the False Emperor’s Throne Room on Ilum, where we’ll likely be heading whenever the “Galactic Threads” story comes out. Broadsword has never confirmed it, but the general consensus is that we haven’t gotten new story content because of the ongoing SAG-AFTRA Voice Actors Strike.

One thing I noticed seeing these two pictures side by side, the throne rooms are quite the same. The version on Ilum is missing the statues of the Sith Emperor, but it also has tattered banners of the Sith Empire which weren’t there before.

Malgus and Shae’s Team-up

We got a shot of Malgus and Shae teaming up on what seems like Ord Mantell, but it’s too hard to say from such a small area.

Shae seems to be running with the same crew she enlisted to break Malgus out of the Hulk prison, though a certain Mon Calamari cyborg is notably absent.

I hope he’s all right. I hope he’s safe. I’d be devastated if the devs just threw away one of the most creative and coolest-looking amalgamation of repurposed assets in the entire game. He’s probably just doing some slicing off-screen.

The scene cuts to Malgus using the Force on what turns out to be a small starship that he yanks into the one next to it, just like Vader will do someday.

A Rakata Mind Trap?

One of the final shots in the trailer was a Rakata Mind Trap, and I can’t stop wondering about who’s inside.

My best guess is Darth Nul. It would make sense for Vitiate to want to keep such a brilliant mind around, and it would also most likely be stored on the Emperor’s Space Station, which could explain why we’re heading there next.
