How to unlock and access the Datacron Mission
0:00 This is a video walkthrough for the Datacron at Kessan’s Landing on Ord
0:04 Mantel. We have an in-depth guide on the site for the Geothermal Shielding Missions
0:08 you have to complete to be able to get the datacron. They are quite long for a video
0:12 format. Here I will focus your attention on unlocking and accessing the Datacron itself.
0:19 After you get your own lava shield, you also need to find a Worn Access
0:24 Card. Here are two locations where you can get it at Kessan’s Landing.
Enter the Tunnel and start the mission
0:31 Head to the south of Kessan’s Landing where the lava flows are. You can
0:35 quick travel to Solitude’s Laze and go west to reach this area.
1:11 Once inside, you’ll find a Medical Droid and a
1:14 blue panel on the wall that will grant you the mission, This is Lava Problems!
Inside the Heart of Mount Felo terminals Sequence
1:23 When you go inside the instanced area, you’ll find yourself in a hallway with several terminals.
1:28 You’ll need to activate these in a specific order to unlock a door at the end of the hallway.
1:34 You have a limited amount of time to activate the Safety Release,
1:38 so be quick or you’ll have to reactivate the System Flush.
1:55 Once you activate the Routine Execution,
1:57 you’ll hear an alarm and the door at the end of the tunnel will open. Get to the
2:01 end of the tunnel before you run out of time and have to restart the process.
2:19 You’ll find some missiles past the small lava pool,
2:23 right click these to pick up a missile temporary ability.
Cross the Lava Pool
2:46 Once you’ve dealt with the Savrips, you’ll encounter a large pool of lava and a broken
2:51 bridge. Here you can see a terminal you can use and some rocky areas you can land on. What you
2:58 can’t see are hidden Monitor Droids, fortunately the terminal temporarily reveals their locations.
3:05 The Monitor Droids will slow you if you get too close to them when you attempt to run
3:09 across the lava with your shield and entering combat will deactivate your Rocket Boost.
Loot a Detonation Unit from Malfunctioning Probe Droid
3:29 Move past some more Savrips until you reach a metal platform. This platform has a console
3:34 that you can interact with that powers off the shielding at the door you need to reach.
3:47 This also spawns the Malfunctioning Probe that you’ll need to defeat for a Detonation Unit.
4:28 You may need to reactivate the Shielding Systems Override Console once more before proceeding.
Cross the Abandoned Droid Factory and get the Datacron
5:17 You’re at the final push for the Kessan’s Landing Datacron now. This area just requires you to use
5:22 your shield to get across gaps to safe spots, avoid grapple droids, and fight a few Savrips
5:28 along the way. Fortunately for you, there are no hidden Monitor Droids in this area.
6:29 When you cross the lava, be sure to land at the mesh platforms. The other debris you find
6:34 in this area isn’t always safe to land on. Eventually you’ll find more missiles you can
6:39 use against the Savrips. You’ll need to use these missiles to interrupt their Stunning Leap ability.
6:46 Collect the datacron and use the shortcut behind it to get back to the entrance.
