SWTOR Trial by Firepower Mission Guide (Galactic Season 9)

How to unlock, start and complete the story mission, Trial by Firepower, from SWTOR’s Galactic Season 9 including choices and rewards.

How to unlock the mission?

Every Galactic Season in SWTOR comes with a new mission that introduces the theme of the current season. Season 9 features “Trial by Firepower”.

To unlock Trial by Firepower, you need get the token, which is available on Galactic Season 9’s Track, at level 1. The token is located on the Free Track and is accessible to all players. This token will allow you to start the mission on a single character.

How to unlock it on multiple characters?

To unlock this mission on multiple characters, you have to open your Collections panel and purchase the unlock. The standard price is 80 Cartel Coins to unlock it for your Legacy.

This also works if you accidentally delete the token before using it. The character that claimed the token from the season’s Free Track, will be able to reclaim it for free.

How to start Trial by Firepower?

As soon as you claim and use the token, a holoprojector prompt will pop up in the middle of your screen. This will start a commlink conversation with Kai Zykken.

Do your choices matter?

It doesn’t matter what choices you make during the conversation. Even if you attempt to refuse the mission in the first prompt, Kai will not give up that easily.

You still have the chance to refuse it at the end, which will complete the conversation. If you decide to do the mission at a later point, you can just activate the token. It will skip the conversation and give you the mission objective directly.

You have to choose between 2 or 3 answers five times during this conversation. The choices don’t lead to unique outcomes or special rewards. The yare only there for role-playing purposes.

Mission Objective

This is a very simple mission. As opposed to previous Galactic Seasons, this time around your task is simple – complete a Flashpoint. You can choose a random one or pick the currently active Flashpoint Resurgence.

Rewards

After completing the Flashpoint, the mission will automatically end and your reward will be placed in your inventory: Czerka Experimental Combat Enhancer MK. 2 x3.

You will earn a total of 23 Czerka Experimental Combat Enhancer MK. 2 items during the course of the season. The table below shows you exactly at which levels you get them.
