What is Date Night
Date Night is a weekly repeatable mission in SWTOR allowing you to spend some quality time with your romanced companion. These missions are usually only a few minutes long and consist of cinematic cutscenes with dialogue in a thematic location suitable for your companion.
Broadsword is releasing new Date Night missions from time to time. So far it’s been irregular, but usually in a X.X.1 updates (e.g. 7.4.1, 7.5.1, 7.8.1).
The missions reset on Tuesday along with the global weekly reset for the entire game. It happens at 12:00 GMT. You can the missions as Alliance Alerts in the Companions and Contacts (default shortcut N) window. These missions are unique in that they cannot be unlocked and completed in any way other than gameplay.
Requirements to unlock
In the table further down this guide, you will find detailed instructions on when, how and why each of the currently available missions can be unlocked and completed.
A general rule is that you need to be in an active romantic relationship with the companion and this companion must be active and currently available/accessible.
This means you need to have completed at least Chapter 9 of Knights of the Fallen Empire (to unlock the Alliance Alerts System). Some of the companions require you to progress further through the story to unlock their romances.
The companions need to be alive and currently accessible to you. If they are unavailable (or dead), you will not be able to do their Date Night mission on this character.
If you are not certain what your status with a specific companion is, you can open their profile and inspect the Interactions log in the bottom for a confirmation that you are in a relationship and what your history is.
If you don’t find a confirmation there, and you are not getting the Date Night alert, look for an opportunity to talk to that companion and seek an active romantic relationship with them.
The game does a good job at notifying you when you are about to start an active romance with a companion. This is the most solid indicator that you have covered this requirement.

Achievements
Part of the rewards are distributed via Achievements. You can find the achievements in your Legacy window, under Achievements > Companions > Date Night.
Each Date Night mission has three normal (not hidden) achievements associated with it for completing the mission once, three and five times. On the third time, you get a title, on the fifth – a decoration item.

FAQ
Date Night missions require you to have completed Chapter 9 of KOTFE (some companion romances require you to progress further through the story), have the companion available and be in an active romantic relationship with them. Some companions have specific requirements for romances such as male only or female only, or a certain origin class (Warrior, Knight etc).
First, ensure your romance is officially “active”. A good place to check is the “Interactions” tab in the bottom of the Companion’s tab in the Companions and Contacts window. Then, check if your companion is currently available and not disabled.
You can repeat them once per week per character. They reset on Tuesday at 12:00 GMT along with the global game reset.
Yes! The achievements are tracked for your entire Legacy. The Titles you earn after completing a Date Night 3 times are unlocked for your entire Legacy.
Open your Character Sheet (default shortcut C). In the top left of your Gear tab, you will see a small icon that looks like a medal. Click on it and choose a title from the overlay panel that will appear. Date Night titles are Legacy Titles. You will find them in the “Select a Legacy Title” dropdown menu at the bottom of the panel.
SWTOR only recognizes one active romance per character in the current story state. You will only receive the Date Night Alliance Alert for the companion your character is currently actively romancing.
Yes, the developers at Broadsword have confirmed plans to release more Date Night missions in future updates. They are generally prioritizing companions with the highest number of active player romances, though voice actor availability also affects the release schedule.
The developers usually release Date Night missions with X.X.1 updates during the Legacy of the Sith cycle. Excluding the long draught during the SAG-AFTRA strike, Date Nights have been added with 7.4.1, 7.5.1 and 7.8.1, which is a clearly visible pattern.
