Learn how to repair the Kilns at Kilnden Workshop in Chapter IV of Crimson Desert. Also includes information on how to use the Kuku Pot and what it’s used for.
The Kilnden Workshop
Once you’ve started Chapter IV: The Price of Knowledge, you’ll need to find the Kilnden Workshop. It’s a short horse ride northwest of Howling Hill and you’ll find numerous gray stone kilns and pots in the area.
Look for Grimnir, the dwarf wearing the Visione on his head. He’ll be arguing with one of his workers and talking to him will complete the quest Kilnden Workshop.

Kiln Repair at the Kilnden Workshop
After talking to Grimnir, you’ll need to activate an Ancient Generator nearby. On it you’ll find a wooden pole you can push, and a lever with 3 settings. Depending on which setting the lever is on, a glowing rune that looks like a conical flask will light up.
Activate the Generator
When set to the left, rotating the pole will turn the top wheel. The lever being in the center moves the middle wheel, while pushing the lever to the right will moves the bottom wheel. Line up the three runes that glow to activate the Generator.

To line up the runes quickly and easily, take the following steps:
- Adjust the lever to Position 2.
- Rotate Layer 2 to the left one position, it will click into place with an audio cue.
- Adjust the Lever to Position 3.
- Rotate Layer 3 to the right one Position and the Kiln will fire up.
Fix the disconnected kiln
There are three kilns you’ll need to repair, the first of which is simple as you interact with a plug in the back. Push the yellow wooden pole to the left and this will activate the kiln.

Fix the dismantled kiln
This next kiln will unlock a new ability if you haven’t already unlocked it, the Aerial Force Palm. This ability will be necessary to solve the next puzzle to fix the dismantled kiln.
There are many kiln parts in the area that can be picked up with your Axiom Force. Look for the two pieces with jagged bottoms. The first one you’ll want to pick up is in front and to the right of the kiln.
Pick it up and rotate it so the grooves line up with the kiln’s and drop it. It tends to line itself up after moving the piece above the kiln. Leaves will also swirl around the top of the kiln when its lined up propely.
Climb on top, jump, then use the Force Palm to lock it into place. Both pieces can be locked in at the same time, if you wish to move the next piece into place before locking them in.

The second piece you’ll need is right behind the kiln. It has a grate on top and it’ll fit right on top of the last piece you added. Place it on top, align it, and Aerial Force Palm it into place. Push the yellow pole to the left and activate the kiln.

Put fuel into the kiln
There are five chutes you’ll need to place electrified orbs into. Two of these can be found next to the kiln itself. Try placing them inside the chute so they roll in.

You’ll find two more fuel orbs to the pond west of the kiln. The first will be in the water while the other will be the left eye of a bird statue. The fuel in the statue can be removed by using Axiom Force to grab it, and simply holding the Pull command.

The last fuel orb is in a small cave southeast of the kiln. Place it in, activate the kiln by pushing the yellow pole and you’ll finish repairing the kilns! Speak with Grimnir to complete the quest.

The Mysterious Pot
After waiting for the pot to be completed, speak with Grimnir, then obtain the Mysterious Pot by pushing the yellow pole clockwise. A burst of steam will appear and a small black pot will spawn.

The Pot’s Use
Learn how to use the iron pot by talking to the dwarf next to the large Abyss Orb. Use Axiom Force on the orb and store it with the on-screen prompt.

This Iron Pot is known as a Kuku Pot. It’s a device used for infinite storage, but don’t get too excited. Despite what’s been said about its infinite storage capacity, it can only store certain Abyss Related objects you’ll find in the world.
Such objects include Power Cores, Abyss Cells, and other mechanical parts you’ll find throughout your adventures. You can also talk to Grimnir to enhance the pot’s effects or craft more of them.
You’ll need to complete Main Quests or faction quests to obtain the recipes. Such factions include Ironflame Orcs or Witches, so working for them will help expand what Grimnir can do for all your pot-related needs.

Activate the Abyss Nexus
Before you return to Howling Hill, look for and activate the Abyss Nexus. Simply stand on top of it until it lights up, and now you’ll be able to fast travel here when you need to upgrade a Kuku Pot.
