Appearance
The Bolton Plate Armor set is obtainable by all players in Crimson Desert and features a satin blue cloak and sash draped over silver plate armor with yellow accents. This is the armor for Hernand’s elite soldiers.

You can obtain the Bolton Plate set from numerous locations across Hernand. Some of the pieces will cost a combined total of 17 Hernand Contribution Tokens.
Bolton Plate Helmet Location
You can purchase the Bolton Plate Helm from the Contribution Shop at Hernand Castle in Hernand Town in Hernand. It costs 4 Hernand Contribution Tokens.
Bolton Plate Chestpiece Location
You can purchase the Bolton Plate Armor from the Contribution Shop at Hernand Castle in Hernand Town in Hernand. It costs 7 Hernand Contribution Tokens.
Bolton Plate Cloak Location
You can purchase the Bolton Plate Cloak from the Contribution Shop at Hernand Castle in Hernand Town in Hernand. It costs 6 Hernand Contribution Tokens.
Bolton Plate Gloves Location
There are no Bolton Plate Gloves, but soldiers wearing the rest of the set use Canta Plate Gloves, which you can purchase from the Equipment Shop in Hernand Town after defeating Matthias during Chapter II: Golden Greed.
Bolton Plate Boots Location
Hernandian Soldiers use leather boots rather than plate, and the accompanying boots are not sold with the rest of the set. Instead, you’ll need to learn the recipe to craft them from Leather Armors of the World, vol. IV.
You can purchase this book from the Tannery at Forentin Lodge outside of Vellua in southern Hernand for a whopping 80 silver, but the tanner only sells it after you’ve reached Trust 100 with him by giving him gifts or visiting him lots.

Bolton Plate Sword Location
Soldiers wearing Bolton Plate are only ever shown with a longsword on their backs, and the most similar weapon we can get is the Thalwynd Longsword. You can purchase it from the Equipment Shop in Calphade in northern Hernand.
Bolton Plate Shield Location
Soldiers wearing Bolton Plate are only ever shown with a longsword on their backs, but the Shield of a Blossoming Spring Day is often used by other defenders of Hernand.
You can get it as a random drop from soldiers who use it, but the more reliable way is to craft it after learning the recipe from Shields of the World, vol. III, which is obtainable from the main room on the top floor of the residential part of Calphade Castle in Hernand.
The way up is very easy to miss and right next to the door to the room where you fight Cassius Morten at the end of Chapter VI: Cracks in the Shield.
You won’t be able to use the Thalwynd Longsword and Shield of a Blossoming Spring Day at the same time. There is little consistency to the one-handed weapons used by Hernand’s Soldiers, so just grab a good sword or mace off the rack.
