The final part of Diablo 4’s Secret Cow Level has appeared alongside Season 15. Find out everything you need to know to access this new area and the boss within.
The Secret Cow Level
If you’re not fully caught up on everything Cow Level, refer to the Complete Guide to Diablo 4’s Secret Cow Level. This will detail all the steps necessary to reach The Secret Cow Level where this next, and likely final, step of the secret kicks off.
Outcast’s Travel Pouch
As an added bonus with Season 15, we were also blessed with a way to get almost immediate access to the Secret Cow Level in all seasons going forward, through a new and familiar vendor added to Temis, Squirt the Peddler.
The Outcast’s Travel Pouch is required to be crafted once, via the Horadric Cube. To do so simply add the Torn Page from completing the steps for the Secret Cow Level as well as Three Rusted Cow Bells acquired from Fishing, as shown below.
If you’ve done the Secret Cow Level in a Season prior to this, this will work just fine on an Eternal Character and does not need to be done with a Seasonal Character!
Once crafted, you’ll be able to purchase the Outcast’s Travel Pouch from Squirt for a modest 10,666,666 Gold. You can buy as many as you like on a single character, but resetting his stock will cost an additional 20 Million Gold, so it’s better to just buy it on the charcter that needs it.
What does the Outcast’s Travel Pouch contain, if it let’s you skip the step for the Secret Cow Level? Why, the three final relics of course! One Outcast’s Travel pouch will award the Stamina Potion from the first step, the Rusted Bardiche, and Neyrelle’s Hand.
If your Item Filter is hiding non-Ancestral Normal Items, you will need to disable it to collect the Rusted Bardiche, as it is considered a Weapon and not a quest or Consumable like the others.
This allows you to immediately use those items in the Horadric Cube to create the Trophy of the Faithful, getting the Torn Page, and by extension access to the Secret Cow Level.
Of course, if you have already entered the Secret Cow Level and have the “Moo” Sin among your options in Kyovashad, that portal is also accessible without any prior steps.
Reaching the Bovine Sanctum
There are two main steps to this short addition to the Secret Cow Level. Obtaining and Using the Prime Rib.
Obtaining Prime Ribs
Once you enter the Secret Cow Level, and Defeat the Cow King, who now also drops part of a Bovine Cosmetic Set, or Cowsmetics if you will, he still drops the Prime Ribs we need to proceed.
We’ll need to defeat him a handful of times and collect a total of 5 Prime Ribs to access the Bovine Sanctum. This will typically take two or three runs of the Secret Cow Level.
Using the Prime Ribs
To use the Prime Ribs, we’ll need to take them to the Altar of the Heifer, located in Skovos.
This is found just a bit East of the Tyrael’s Encampment Waypoint, as shown on the map below.
Once here, with Prime Rib in hand, we can make an offering to the Altar. This will not consume the Prime Ribs, but will take us to the “town” known as Bovine Sanctum.
Make sure to activate the Waypoint here to return without having to go to the Altar of the Heifer every time!
This Town is mostly complete with three Bovine Vendors: A Blacksmith, an Occultist, and a Jeweller. There is no Stash, Horadric Cube or anything like that though, so make sure you empty your Inventory if you intend to fight the boss.
To the north is a large Arena, and in the center of it lies yet another Altar of the Heifer. This one will consume the Prime Ribs to trigger the “Uber Moophisto” fight, or rather Moophisto the Divine Bovine.
Moophisto the Divine Bovine
Moophisto the Divine Bovine is treated similar to the World Boss version that was part of an event that took place just before Season 15 started. However unlike a typical World Boss, he does not carry the Infernal Resilience, making him more on par with the Lair Bosses.
Moophisto’s Reward
Upon Defeat, Moophisto will award you with some loot, as well as a Special Mount Trophy, Figment of Imoogination, shown below.
This Cosmetic Mount Trophy is very similar to the one from the from the Event Boss, but will be available long after the period to claim the event one is.
Moophisto’s Attacks
Moophisto is no slouch , with plenty of AoE damage and mechanics that can trip you up if you’re not careful. Below are the details of his various Attacks to get anidea of what you’re up against.
Split the Earth
Moophisto will begin channeling an AoE, that covers the arena end-to-end in front and behind him, and just a small bit from his sides.
This channel provides ample time to begin moving as soon as you see it begin, as it will expand out to the full range before it goes off.
Upon completing the channel, Moophisto Stomps, sending damaging earthquakes radiating out from the center.
Call the Herd
Moophisto will Teleport away from you, before creating Giant doors, and channeling this attack. While he channels, Divine Cattle will rush out from the gates and seek you out.
These cattle have a wide turning radius, making them take a while to turn and have a chance of hitting you if in melee range while this channel occurs. They’re also very easily blocked by any kind of summon.
If stuck by a Divine Cattle, one of your Hotbar Skills will be replaced by a forced Moo Emote that must be cleared, by pressing the skill the number of times indicated on the hotbar, before you can use the skill again. This can affect multiple skills and continually stack up if not cleared quickly.
Divine Slam
Moophisto will Teleport, hovering in the air briefly before slamming the ground producing a Shockwave. This does high initial damage and continuous damage as the shockwave expands.
Divine Rain
Moophisto raises his weapon to call down damaging beams of light scattered across the Arena. These are indicated shortly before dealing damage, leaving enough time to react by dodging or moving away.
Divine Pillars
Moophisto channels, calling down large cross-shaped pillars across the Arena. These fall and deal damage on a delay much like the Divine Rain, but in a much larger area, and leave the pillars standing after.
All of Moophisto’s other Attacks, except Call the Herd, will destroy these Pillars when hit. Be careful to not accidentally destroy most of them.
This attack will be performed at 66% Life (two segments missing from his Life Bar), and randomly throughout the fight after.
Divine Bellow
Moophisto Teleports to the center of the arena, letting out his Divine Bellow, dealing damage to you if not located behind a Divine Pillar.
Make sure to have a Movement Skill ready when this attack is used. It deals high damage, so getting behind cover quickly is key!
This Attack is first performed at 66% Life Remaining, immediately following the first Divine Pillars, and periodically after.
Later uses of this Attack will also be accompanied by Split the Earth, Forcing you to moo-ve out of the way and to a new Pillar. Position carefully so as to not destroy too many nearby pillars.
