Reclaimed Treasure: SWTOR Alliance Alert Walkthrough

Learn how to unlock and complete the Reclaimed Treasure Alliance Alert in SWTOR and get the opportunity to recruit the Dashade Ak’ghal Usar.

Reclaimed Treasure is one of the many (many!) Alliance Alert missions, released in the year after the Knights of the Fallen Empire expansion (the Update 4.0 era). This Alliance Alert differs from the rest a bit.

It delves into Sith culture and mystics a little bit. You venture to Yavin 4 in search of ancient relics and can end up with a new companion. The mission involves a mini puzzle solving related to the Sith Code and ancient tablets. Puzzles are rare for SWTOR’s narrative.

How to Unlock Reclaimed Treasure

There are two requirements you need to do first before this mission appears for you in your Companions and Contacts window:

• Complete Chapter XII “Visions in the Dark” from Knights of the Fallen Empire (KOTFE) expansion.
• Complete the first mission for Dr. Oggurobb to recruit Talos Drellik (thanks to Derzelaz for the update). It’s called “Fighting Power with Knowledge”.

This is a step-by-step walkthrough summary for the Alliance Alert available in SWTOR in which you can recruit a Dashade called Ak'ghal Usar. For more detailed information about each step, please read the full guide.

Instructions

1. Complete Chapter 12 "Visions in the Dark", part of SWTOR Knights of the Fallen Empire.
2. Complete the Alliance Alert "FIghting Power with Knowledge", given to you by Dr. Oggurobb at the Alliance Camp HQ.
3. Click on the Alert "Reclaimed Treasure" in the Companions and Contacts window. Talk to Dr. Oggurobb to start the mission.
4. Travel to Talos Drellik's Camp on Yavin 4.
5. Check Narissa's Notes and open the Small Coffer.
6. Enter the Architect's Hollow Cave in the Temple Ruins.
7. Examine Harris' body remains to find the Medallion.
8. Venture further into the cave and use the Medallion when prompted by the red text on the screen.
9. Defeat the Creature that spawns and pick up the Crystal.
10. Open the Missions tab in your Inventory and click on the Crystal to add it to the Medallion.
11. Head out of the cave and turn left. Find the glowing little box on a small pedestal and open it to loot the Tablet of Victory.
12. Go back in the cave. Interact with the Ancient Sith Artifact to start the Tablets mini puzzle.
13. Put the Tablets in the proper order as described in the full guide.
14. Touch the Artifact with the Sitn Medallion an you will be teleported inside a Hidden Hollow.
15. Talk to the Dashade creature inside and choose Light or Dark Side option to recruit him or not.
16. Travel back to Odessencto report to Dr. Oggurobb to complete the Alliance Alert Reclaimed Treasure.

Mission Walkthrough

To start the mission open the “Companions and Contacts” window. Click on the mission “Reclaimed Treasure”. Go speak to the Hutt scientist.

Travel to Talos Drellik’s camp on Yavin 4. Use the “Travel to Alert Location” button that appears at the bottom of the Alliance Alert Mission briefing window.

Alternatively, you can visit the location on foot. Talos Drellik’s camp is where you first met him – the eastern end of the Training Grounds area on Yavin 4.

Read Narissa’s notes

When you arrive at the camp, Talos will not be there. The first objective for the mission tasks you to check Narissa’s Notes and Open the Small Coffer. Enter the tent and click on the glowing item on the bed to your right.

Read the datapad

Next to the small coffer, you will also find a datapad – click it to check Narissa’s Notes for the second part of the objective.

After a short “KOTOR Style” cinematic you will end up with a bunch of new items in your Inventory. You can check them in the Mission Items tab. Below is the full text of Dr. Delau’s Notes in case you want to re-read them.

Here’s where it gets fun. The objective you get now only states “Find the Ancient Sith Artifact”. The clues are in the notes, but if you want to do it the easy way, keep following this guide.

Examine the body in the cave

Enter the Architect’s Hollow Cave while searching for the Sith Artifact (it will be marked on your map). The quickest way to get there is to use the Quick Travel to the Temple Ruins (if you have it) and then mount up to get to it.

Inside the cave you will find Harris’ body remains. Examine it and you will find the medallion.

In the newly appeared toolbar, you will have the Sith Medallion as a clickable item.

Use the medallion

Venture further into the cave and when you get to the location shown in the image below, you will also see a red text on your screen that reads “You can feel something watching you from the shadows…”.

Click on the medallion to wave it around. Defeat the monster and loot the Crystal.

Use the crystal

Open your inventory and click the newly appeared item in your Mission Items tab (a red Crystal) to add it to the medallion.

Find the missing tablet

Go back outside the cave and turn to your left (towards the Ruined Temple). You will notice a glowing item sitting on a pedestal. Click it.

Defeat the Massassi and loot the Tablet of Victory.

With this now you should have the following items in your Mission Items tab in your Inventory:

• Tablet of Power
• Tablet of Betrayal
• Tablet of Sacrifice
• Tablet of Strength
• Tablet of Passion
• Tablet of Broken Chains
• Tablet of Secrets
• Table of Victory
• Dr. Delay’s Notes
• Sith medallion

Solve the Tablets puzzle

Head back into the Architect’s Hollow cave. In the center of the cave, you will find the Ancient Sith Artifact – a big glowing container with some tablets stuck in it on the top side.

During the cinematic choose “Try placing relic tablets in the slots”. Then, following the Sith Code, insert five of the tablets into the five slots. You have to do this in the following order:

1. First Slot: The Tablet of Passion
2. Second Slot: The Tablet of Strength
3. Third Slot: The Tablet of Power
4. Fourth Slot: The Tablet of Victory
5. Fifth Slot: The Tablet of Broken Chains

Here is the original ancient sith code, if you don’t know it or want to refresh your memory:

Peace is a lie. There is only Passion.
Through Passion I gain Strength.
Through Strength I gain Power.
Through Power I gain Victory.
Through Victory my chains are Broken.
The Force shall free me.

Go back through the interactive menus and next choose “Try things involving the Sith medallion“. Then in the next menu select “Try touching the Sith medallion to the surface of the artifact“.

Interact with the Dashade

After placing the tablets and touching the Artifact with the Sith medallion you will be teleported into the Hidden Hollow.

There you will find a Dashade named Ak’ghal Usar. It may look like Khem Val, but it’s not him. If it was released on 1st April, it could have passed for a nice SWTOR April Fool’s joke.

You have an option to recruit him (Dark Side) or reject him (Light Side). In the video walkthrough below I choose the Light Side option.

Report back to Doctor Oggurobb

To finish the mission, head back to Odessen and report to Dr. Oggurobb. To get to him quick, use the Companions and Contacts window or click the little blue planet right next to your mission in the Mission Tracker.

Rewards

I don’t think the pleasure of doing the Reclaimed Treasure mission equals the rewards earned at the end. The amount of sith knowledge and lore you gain or remember from the Star Wars Legends is absolutely precious.

This mission will grant you similar rewards to all other Alliance Alerts:

• Credits
• Light/Dark Side Points (depending on your choice)
• Influence Gain with the Dashade
• Influence Gain with Doctor Oggurobb
• 2x Locket Supply Crate: Military Equipment
• Choice of:
  • 1x Carved Relic of Zildrog’s Fall (Companion Reputation Item)
  • 1x Miniature Black Hole” Gravity Grenade (Companion Reputation Item)
