What is the Conquest System in SWTOR?
The Conquest system in SWTOR is a way for your character to earn resources and rewards while doing your usual daily solo or group/guild routines.
Since its first appearance, the Conquest system in SWTOR has been revisited and redesigned multiple times over the course of many smaller and major game updates.
This guide is designed to help both returning players learn what has changed as well as teach newcomers everything from how Conquests work to the finer details and tips to help you speed up the grind!
The Galactic Conquest system in SWTOR saw some significant changes in 7.0. Credits gained and Experience gained were reduced, and the Personal Conquest Goal was increased from 50,000 to 100,000. This is likely to slow the gearing process so it’s harder to obtain the new currency, Conquest Commendations, along with combatting inflation in SWTOR.
You can learn more about the various SWTOR Currencies you can earn and use while playing the game from our dedicated guide.
The idea behind the Conquest system has always been the same: a supplementary way for you to earn rewards and gear up as you play through your normal daily solo or guild routines.
Conquest includes activities from the Solo, PvE, PvP, Galactic Starfighter… literally from all aspects of SWTOR’s gameplay. It’s entirely up to you in which of them you want to participate. Nearly every activity in the game is involved with the Conquest system.
This system is meant to provide additional bonuses as you play the game the way you want. Pretty much every action you take, every mission you complete, everything is tracked by the Conquest system and thanks to the literally tons and tons of objectives, you earn Conquest XP as you play.
Each week there is a new Conquest. They change on Tuesday. There is a short break between the ending of the previous Conquest and the start of the new one.
Each Conquest brings a set of unique objectives for you to complete to earn your Conquest Points (also called Conquest XP). A lot of the objectives are present in each conquest, but not all. Some are unique to the specific Conquest that is active.
The minimum character level for Conquest is level 10. This is done so you do not get overloaded with information and features as a new player.
How to Track Your Conquest Progress?
There are two tabs in your character’s Mission Log related to the Conquest system. The first one is Personal (entitled Conquest) and the second one is for your Guild (called Guild Invasions). This segment of the guide will show you how to access them and what information each one of them contains.
Where to find the Conquest Data?
Your Conquest data is spread between the Conquest and Guild Invasions tabs. They are the second and third tabs in your character’s Mission Log. You can access your Mission Log by pressing “L” on the keyboard (default shortcut) or by clicking on “Content” in the menu bar and then choosing “Mission Log” from the drop-down menu.
The Personal Conquest tab
The Conquest tab is also known as the Personal Conquest. Here you will find your personal objectives that you can complete during the week to earn Conquest Points.
In the top left corner is the title of the event along with a brief description.
On the right side, you see the available rewards listed. On top of them is a Progress bar. It marks your own progress towards the weekly goal of 100,000 Conquest Points.
The bottom half shows your objectives. On the right is the list of all available objectives and the amount of Conquest points you can earn for completing each one. You can sort them to better match your needs.
On the right side is the description of your currently selected objective. Some times in the bottom right corner you will see a button. If the objective asks you to travel to somewhere, craft an item or perform any other action that can benefit from a shortcut, this button will help you do it quickly.
Each week you can complete Conquest objectives to earn your personal reward, which can include Credit Certificates, Tech Fragments, Equipment Crates, Medals of Commendations, and other items such as Scrap and Companion Gifts. The reward granted is based on your character’s level.
The Guild Invasions tab
The Guild Invasions tab shows the Conquest Points your guild needs to earn accumulated from all characters’ personal conquests for the week.
At the top right you see the title of your guild and the Guild Ship’s location. You need a Guild Ship to participate in Guild Invasions.
Next to it is a window that shows your Guild progress. To unlock it you need to choose a planet to invade and a Yield for it. Until you commit to a planet to invade, you cannot see your guild’s progress.
On the lower part of the window, you see the available Planets and Yields for the possible invasions. On the right is the list of other top guilds and how they currently perform in the conquest for the selected planet.
You need to be the guild leader (Guildmaster or simply GM) to assign a target for your guild’s next conquest attempt. GMs can assign special permission in the Guild’s Ranks tab to a certain role like an officer or something. This will allow other players to assign conquest targets in case the leader does not log in to do it in time.
There are three Yields guilds can choose to strive for each week for each conquest. They each have different Conquest Points minimum requirements. Failing to earn them, results in your guild not getting the guild rewards.
- Requirements for Large Yield: 5,000,000 Conquest Points (Conquest XP)
- Requirements for Medium Yield: 2,000,000
- Requirements for Small Yield: 500,000
Committing to an invasion target grants you a 15% boost in earned points. This perk is in place to help guilds who commit early against “sniper guilds”. This bonus only applies to Guild Conquest Points, not your personal ones.
If your guild earns the required amount of Conquest Points for the week, based on the Yield the guild has selected, each character receives the listed rewards in the Guild Invasion Tab.
How to Track a Conquest Objective?
If there is a Conquest point that will take you longer to complete, you can opt to “Track” it. Simple click on the objective and then activate the check on the top that says “Untracked” to make it “Tracked”.
The objective will then appear in your Achievements Tracker UI module on your HUD. Learn more about the SWTOR User Interface from our complete guide!
Conquest Objectives
There are three types of objectives you can complete, depending on how often you can do them during the week. Note that they are legacy-bound. If an objective with a lockout is completed on one character, you cannot log on to another alt and complete it again right away.
Here’s the breakdown of the objective lockouts:
- Weekly Objectives – Usually related to a Weekly Mission of some sort. Can be completed only once per week, but yield the larges amount of Conquest Points. These objectives have no symbol/icon next to them.
- Daily Repeatable Objectives – the middle tier objective grants less Conquest Points, but resets each day along with all the daily missions and lockouts in the game. You can do these each day. These objectives are marked with the daily quest icon – a yellow triangle.
- Repeatable Objectives – these can be done as many times as you wish. They are usually the objectives related to farming things (kills crafts etc). These are marked with an infinity icon next to the objective.
There is a Stronghold bonus for Conquests. If goes up to 25%, based on the percentage of unlocked rooms in a stronghold. This bonus stacks per Stronghold up to a maximum of 150%.
Conquest objective point values in the Conquest interface will also reflect a player’s Stronghold bonus. This means you don’t need to do any calculations yourself. Whatever number of Points per objective you see, that’s what you will earn.
The Personal Conquest Objectives often have a shortcut button allowing you to go directly to the activity you are tasked to complete to gain the Points.
There are different objectives available per Conquest and per character level. Below are two example lists of objectives.
Personal and Guild Conquest Rewards
Based on your character’s level you will receive a different type of reward for completing your Conquest Goal.
Rewards will not be locked at the start of the Conquest. Rewards will be calculated at the time a player reaches their Personal Conquest Goal.
Below are a few lists of Rewards per character level. Please note that Broadsword often makes changes and this list may not always be up to date. I do my best to revisit the guide as often as I could.

Gear Cache – a pack of 5 gear pieces of armor
Satchel of Companion Gifts

Why you should do Conquests?
The best part about the Conquest system in its current form is that Broadsword succeeded in making it blend in with your preferred gameplay tempo and style.
No matter what and how you do, you will earn Conquest Points. Completing your weekly goal and your guild’s minimum required amount of points is easy. No need to farm anymore like crazy.
For your guild to receive the Conquest rewards, it does not matter if you win the planet you fight for.
For the guild that wins a planet (earns the most points during the event) during a conquest, there are several perks that are active during the time the guild “owns” the planet.
All planets now fall into one of three Invasion Targets for Strongholds. Planets with lower Invasion Targets require a smaller amount of Conquest points to complete and give smaller rewards. High Invasion Target planets require a large amount of Conquest points and give the largest reward.
Planetary Conquest Vendor Contents
There is a Planetary Conquest Vendor, located in the outer ring on the Republic and Empire Fleets – in the Strongholds & Crew Skills section.
There you can purchase a special mount (it has a different appearance for Republic and Empire) from the Fleet Vendor. This mount can only be used on the planet your guild has conquered during the time you are its conqueror.
The same vendor also offers a special ability: Flagship: Starfighter Flyby
Using this, you will call in a starfighter strafing run that deals heavy damage to the area you have targeted.
This special ability has an hour-long cooldown timer.
You can only use it on a planet that is currently under your guild’s control.
Conquest Rewards Vendor Contents
This vendor is just next to the Planetary Conquest vendor. It offers a number of decorations along with the special Companion Rank 50 Token – the Commander’s Compendium.
Next up, you can see a table describing the full contents of the vendor. Below the table you will find preview images of all items available as of the last update of this guide (see the update label at the top).

How to earn more Conquest Points and faster
To earn more Conquest points per objective completed you can unlock Strongholds. The more Strongholds you unlock (up to six), the bigger boost you will get. The bonus you receive is attached to the number of rooms you unlock in each Stronghold. The more rooms you unlock, the better bonus you will receive.
In the past, the number of decorations placed inside the Stronghold was also a measurement for the size of the bonus you will receive. This is no longer so as the developers removed the relationship. Now only the unlocked rooms count toward the bonus, regardless of how you have decorated them. They can be empty if you don’t care about that part of SWTOR.
