The Galactic Spring Sale is currently live in the Star Wars: The Old Republic’s in-game Cartel Market store. Many decorations, pets and other goodies are currently hugely discounted! Prepare your… wallets!
A few days ago BioWare announced a sale coming to the Cartel Market. I don’t know about you, but I personally didn’t expect it to be this big. Spring is here. At least according to SWTOR!
The studio is discounting several categories of items, on top of adding a bunch of new items available for the first time as a single purchase. Until March 11th (Monday) you will be able to benefit from the following discounts:
- 50% off all collection unlocks
- 77% off all pets
- 40% off all emotes
- 20% off all flairs
SWTOR Data lists over 70 new items available for single purchase that have never before been accessible outside of packs or at all. Along with that there are 20 existing items that have had their prices changed, most of which with a new lower price (up to 78% off).
The new items are from many various categories. You can choose from mounts, pets, weapons etc. It is true that every person has their personal favorites, but I must mention a few that I personally liked the most. The main theme of this week’s sale seems to be decorations and emotes at least when it comes to the new single purchase items.
If you have played Star Wars: Galaxies (SWG), you might remember that incredibly rare flying little space ship that orbits around you, providing next-to-nothing buff to some of your stats. SWTOR offers similar flying and on-the-ground pets. They don’t provide stats, but look cool… outside of raiding *cough*, but let’s not go there and discuss right now my issue with pets, toys and… snow balls during raiding nights :)
Another hugely positive investment would be a new mount for your character. You spend a huge chunk of your playtime on a mount moving from one point to another.
The sale is great, but it doesn’t mean everything is cheaper this week. One of the most popular lightsaber hilts – the Unstable Peacemaker’s Ligthsaber – has been changed from 4080 CC back to 5100 CC, which is its current price.
Last, but not least, I would like to point your attention to two armor sets. The Tythian Disciple’s Armor Set is available currently for 1600 CC, discounted from 2000 CC (20% off). And the Enigmatic Hero’s Armor Set is returning to the Cartel Market with a price tag of 1440 CC, which is the standard for most sets these days.
Check out the Galactic Spring Sale event while it lasts. If you have extra Cartel Coins laying around, why not use them and get something you have always wanted, but could not afford until now.
