Sunset Plains Ruins are home to one of Crimson Desert’s many hidden puzzles. Find out the exact location of these ruins and how to solve the puzzle within to claim an Abyss Artifact in this guide.
Finding the Puzzle
Just to the South of Glenbright Manor in the Hernand Highlands lies a statue puzzle guarding another Abyss Cresset, partially surrounded by a thicket of thorns. Solving this puzzle will allow you to claim one of many Abyss Artifacts located in the Hernand region.

The Sunset Plains Ruins Statue Puzzle
This Puzzle consists of four statues overlooking an obelisk in the middle of them.

When approaching the Puzzle, the Statues will move away from their default “solved” position, where they face the center. Keep note of the two closest statues turn when entering the area, marked 1 and 2 in the images below.

On the back of each of these statues is a Dial, which, when turned, will turn the Statue its on, as well as the one in the opposite corner; in this case, 1 and 4 as well as 2 and 3 are paired.

Solving the Puzzle
To solve this puzzle, we’ll only need to touch Statues 1 and 2 and make two simple moves:
- Turn Statue 1’s Dial to the left for a quarter turn, indicated by a hard stop and audio cue.
- Turn Statue 2’s dial a half turn in either direction.
Once Statue 2 has been turned to the correct position, all Statue will be facing the center, and trigger the short cutscene revealing the Abyss Cresset, and allowing us to claim our prize, an Abyss Artifact.
As a bonus, Abyss Cressets also double as a Fast Travel Point, just like Abyss Nexuses. This gives us quicker access to Grace Manor and the surrounding area.
