With each new update to Star Wars The Old Republic some new bugs are unintentionally introduced as well. It’s inevitable for any and all MMO games and SWTOR isn’t an exclusion. Here is a list of all the known and confirmed errors, bugs and issues as well as some possible workarounds and fixes for them in the most recent Game Update 5.7 Legacy of the Creators.
This article is part of the collective post Everything about SWTOR Patch 5.7 Legacy of the Creators
The following issues and workarounds are posted either officially by Bioware on the forums or noticed and reported by myself and other players from the community!
An issue with Andronikos, Risha, and Corso return missions
Players who meet certain conditions to receive the new Missions to recruit Risha, Corso and Andronikos are granted an additional mission that they cannot complete. This issue occurs for Players who:
- Had previously romanced one of the returning characters (Andronikos, Risha, or Corso)
- Romanced Theron after the release of KOTFE
- Chose to rekindle their original romance with one of the returning characters in 5.7.
Under these circumstances, the Player receives a mission called “Things Left Unsaid” which they cannot progress. This mission is a default one granted to any player who resumes a romance with a returning companion after having also romanced Theron, Koth, or Lana in KOTFE. Due to present circumstances, the mission cannot be completed with Theron for the time being. This will be addressed in an upcoming patch, and for now those affected by the issue should simply uncheck/hide the mission in their log.
Kuat Drive Yards Crashing
Kuat Drive Yard Flashpoint was announced to be fixed in the 5.7 Patch Notes, but apparently it wasn’t completely. The first cut scene is still not progressing properly. The team is looking into why this fix didn’t apply properly.
Iokath Grouping issues
Group finder not working when one of the GF members is on Iokath; Can’t travel to stronghold out of Iokath (must travel to fleet). Possible workaround when grouping for the Operation is to enter a PvP instance and summon players there (reported by btmart on the forums)
Launcher Update Issue
“This application has encountered an unspecified error. Please try this patch again”. It should now be fixed, according to Eric Musco. If you continue to see this error, contact Customer Support or just keep trying the launcher.
Ranked PvP Leaderboards not updating
This issue dates from a couple of days before the release of Patch 5.7, but it seems to continue into the new patch as well. It’s not directly related to the game and gameplay. There is some incorrect data being pulled into the season 9 leaderboards, so the devs disabled them for the time being while they investigate. This has no effect on Season 9 in-game.
Bugged Outfits and Item Appearances
- The chest piece for the Guerrilla Tactician’s armor set has a bugged texture on the back/bottom of it for some body types and will be fixed in a future update. Patch 5.7a from 30th January 2018 fixes that issue.
- Ardent Oracle’s Armor Set has its lounces/ruffles (on the gloves) are missing for female characters (reported by NesyCuriosity on the forums)
If you know of any more issues with the latest update to SWTOR, leave a comment with a brief description and (if possible) a workaround for it. I’ll include them in the list ASAP. Thanks.
