A complete step-by-step guide to all three SWTOR Ossus Datacrons. The walkthroughs featured detailed text descriptions, images, and videos!

There are three new Datacrons with stats on Ossus. This detailed guide will do the job of discovering their location and earning the stat bonuses easy! Below you will find in-depth instructions of how to find the +2 Endurance, +6 Presence and +6 Mastery Datacrons on Ossus.

SWTOR Datacron Green Ossus Endurance Datacron Location

This Datacron is accessible to both Republic and Empire players and grants a permanent boost of +6 Endurance and unlocks the “Ood Bnar” codex entry.

This is one of the most complicated Datacron puzzles BioWare has ever designed. It is a solo experience, but the level of fines and techniques required to get it, is on par with the Fleet Datacron.

To get the Endurance Datacron on Ossus you need to have the “Jedi Under Siege” storyline completed on your character.

Let’s begin! Follow the instructions to the letter or you may have to start over. For some of the segments in this Datacron hunt, I strongly suggest you use the videos in the article.

THE INSTANCED CAVE LOCATION

Start at the most eastern corner of the Ancient Ruins on Ossus. Just next to the edge of the map, there is a small hidden cave. It’s a personal instance.

SWTOR Ossus Endurance Datacron Location Guide - Starting Position, the Hidden Instanced Cave

You have to enter alone and be careful not to get killed while you are doing the following steps. If you do die, you will have to restart everything.

SWTOR Ossus Endurance Datacron Location Guide - Signs on the Wall

Inside the cave, at the top of the stairs, there is a wall with five signs carved into the rock and glowing. Each one of them represents an ancient tablet (a clickable object), hidden somewhere on Ossus.

You have to find and click (once only!) on each one of them in the same order as you see them on the wall (from left to right):

  1. Blue
  2. Yellow
  3. White
  4. Orange
  5. Green

BLUE ANCIENT SWITCH LOCATION (#1)

The Blue Switch is located in the southern hills of the Ancient Ruins. It involves a bit of rock-climbing, but is rather easy to reach. Check out the video above for an exact path to it.

YELLOW ANCIENT SWITCH LOCATION (#2)

The Yellow Switch is behind one of the waterfalls in the southern section of the Ossus Canyons. You can reach it by jumping down carefully at the exact spot.

SWTOR Ossus Endurance Datacron Location Guide - Yellow Ancient Switch Location

The platform behind the waterfall is very narrow and if you miss it, you will have to start from the beginning.

WHITE ANCIENT SWITCH LOCATION (#3)

This symbol is inside a small cave, nearly invisible to the eye. Unless you are looking for it. You will find the entrance at the far north-western end of the Farms area. Just near the shores. Below is its location on the map.

ORANGE ANCIENT SWITCH LOCATION (#4)

This one is inside the Jedi Library Ruins in the Jedi Library Grounds area on Ossus. Once inside, head straight forward until you reach the half-buried vase.

The map location below shows you where you must jump over the wall-base. The exact location of the clickable panel with the symbol is, as I said a bit further ahead.

SWTOR Ossus Endurance Datacron Location Guide - Orange Ancient Switch Location

Jump on top of the vase to climb over. This will allow you to get through to the other side, which is an unspecified area outside of the map area. In the corner there you will find the Orange Ancient Switch hidden behind the rubble on the ground.

GREEN ANCIENT SWITCH LOCATION (#5)

The Green Switch is hidden high on a mountain in the north-western corner of the Ancient Ruins area. To reach it you will have to go literally to the border of the map there.

It involves climbing and jumping on rocks. Again! For a precise pathway, I suggest you check out the attached video. The location on the map is below.

ENTERING THE JEDI LIBRARY RUINS SECRET SECTION

This is where the fun begins! Believe it or not, so far was the easy part!

SWTOR Ossus Endurance Datacron Location Guide - Phase One Completed

After you have picked up all five tablets, go back to the Instanced Cave and check the image on the wall above the symbols. It should now show a faded yellow/gold circle, as shown in the image above.

If the symbol is not available, you have done something wrong and have to repeat the whole process of clicking all five Ancient Switches again then come back here once more to check if it has appeared.

SWTOR Ossus Endurance Datacron Location Guide - Enter the Instanced Area in the Jedi Librar Ruins

Next, head back inside the Jedi Library Ruins and enter the Instanced area to the left after the main corridor – marked with Green as shown in the image above.

SWTOR Ossus Endurance Datacron Location Guide - Secrer Room in the Library Ruins

On the far end of the ruined library, below a stone statue, you will see a door opening to welcome oyu into the next room.

SWTOR Ossus Endurance Datacron Location Guide - Secrer Room Yellow Marker on the Wall

As soon as you enter, look for the same yellow/gold marker that was visible in the Instanced Cave. Below it, next to the wall, there is a hole in the ground. Jump down.

THE DARK CAVES AND THE GLOWING MUSHROOMS

This was literally the most time-consuming part for me. Probably for you too. There is a lot of jumping and platforming in the underground area beneath the Library.

Check out the attached above quick video walkthrough. In short, you have to jump from left to right multiple times, following the glowing mushrooms.

ON THE SECOND FLOOR OF THE LIBRARY

You are on the home stretch now. Be careful not to fall in this segment. If you fall without getting killed, you will spawn back at the entrance of this last segment. If you get killed, however, you will have to spawn all the way back at the Medical Station.

SWTOR Ossus Endurance Datacron Location Guide - Library second floor - Switch 1

There are two switches you have to click. The first one is to your left as soon as you exit the dark area. The second one is all the way on the other side of the area.

Follow my steps from the video if you don’t want to make a mistake and have to repeat the whole segment from the dark caves with the mushrooms again.

SWTOR Ossus Endurance Datacron Location Guide - Library second floor - Switch 2

While going for the second Switch, you will run past the Datacron itself. At this point it is still shielded, though. You wont be able to get it until you reach and click on the second Switch.

SWTOR Ossus Endurance Datacron Location Guide - Library second floor - The Datacron

Once you click them both, the gaps in the slab will close up and you will be able to freely go back to pick up the now un-shielded datacron.

But that is not all!

BACK TO THE INSTANCED CAVE

Now that you have picked up the datacron, you have to bring it back to the pedestal inside the Instanced Hidden Cave where it all began. Go to the top of the stairs and click on the empty slot to place the Datacron, unlock it and gain its knowledge!

Congratulations. You now have +2 Endurance. It was all worth it, right? :)))

SWTOR Datacron Yellow Ossus Presence Datacron Location

This Datacron is accessible to both Republic and Empire players and grants a permanent boost of +6 Presence and unlocks the “The Unlikely Survival of Ossus” codex entry.

The Presence Datacron you have definitely seen already. It’s located high on a broken part of a bridge, just below one of the main transportation roads on Ossus.

SWTOR Ossus Presence Datacron Part 1

Picking up this one can be split into two parts. First – obtaining the Grapple device and Second – getting to the Datacron.

To get it, you need to first pick up an MGGS-like Grapple device. The entrance is a bit to the north-west from the Instanced Cave you visited earlier for the Endurance Datacron.

That’s in the Ancient Ruins area on Ossus. Inside the cave you will find a corpse. Loot it to obtain the device.

Now that you have the device, simply head to the top of the stairs near the Datacron and click with your right mouse button on the green icon next to the Datacron. You will then jump right next to it.

SWTOR Ossus Presence Datacron Lore

SWTOR Datacron Red Ossus Red Mastery Datacron Location

This Datacron is accessible to both Republic and Empire players and grants a permanent boost of +6 Mastery and unlocks the “Odan-Urr” codex entry.

The Mastery Datacron is a bit harder to get than the Presence one but is rather quick. it doesn’t involve any additional items you need to pick up, but will require from you a bit of jumping and rock-climbing skills.

SWTOR Ossus Mastery Datacron Guide - Starting Point

Your journey starts at the western entrance of the tunnel that connects the middle area with the western parts of the Ancient Ruins.

Once inside, check for the side-tunnel on the right side (east) and climb up through it. Then after a bit of uncomfortable jumping, you will end up at the top of the cave.

From here you have one more jump to get to the top floor of the ancient ruins and get to the datacron itself. It is in the top right corner of the image above.

SWTOR Ossus Mastery Datacron Guide - Lore

Congratulations. You have just earned a permanent boost of +6 Mastery for all of your characters!
