In the Belly of the Beast
After feeding Lord Jabu-Jabu a fish in a bottle, you’re sucked into his mouth where you’ll start the third dungeon, Lord Jabu Jabu’s Belly.
You can exit by walking towards his teeth, and you won’t need to feed him another fish to get back in. He’ll open his mouth for you when you get near, saving you a lot of trouble.
Things are rather strange and fleshy in this dungeon. To get past the first door, you’ll need to shoot the yellow polyp on the ceiling with your Slingshot.
You’ll run into the floating jellyfish known as Biri, and later on their bigger versions, Bari. Use Deku Nuts to stun them, this will make them vulnerable to sword attacks.

Map of Lord Jabu-Jabu’s Belly
The following map features all the floors, items, and order of events needed to complete Lord Jabu-Jabu’s Belly.
1. Princess Ruto
In the room filled with several fleshy orifices on the floor, you’ll find Princess Ruto. She quickly show how stubborn she is. After talking to you, she’ll walk off and fall into one of the orifices.
2. Escort Princess Ruto
Follow her down through the orifice and talk to her again. When she sits down, pick her up and bring her through the door to your right to find some Shaboms.

Despite being a royal pain in the butt, you can toss Princess Ruto at enemies to damage them!
Keep following the hall to find a shallow pool with two floor switches and Stingers. Throw her up the ledge on the other side, then activate the bottom switch to raise the water.
On the left side of this room is a chest with the Map, while on the right you can find a Gold Skulltula. You can use the upper floor switch to lower the water if needed. When you reach the other side, defeat the Bari with Deku Nuts and your sword.

When you exit the room, you’ll be in front of a deep pool with an Octorok. A path under the water will lead you to a Business Scrub. Above the pool is a yellow polyp you can activate to create a shortcut to 1F.
Return to the room where you first met Princess Ruto, then take her through the door on the other side. Be careful of the two Bari that fall from the ceiling.
3. Stinger Room
After going through the door, enter the first door on your left. Unlock the door by carrying Ruto while on the large floor switch.

Defeat the Stingers in the room and you’ll get the Boomerang as a reward. With the Boomerang, you can more easily defeat enemies like the Bari and Bari. Otherwise, use it to defeat weak enemies or stun stronger enemies.
4. Tentacle Time
Go back outside and look for the red, blue, and green tendrils on the ceiling. Follow the red one and leave Ruto on the floor switch, then go into the unlocked room.
You’ll find a large red tentacle in the middle of this room. Use your Boomerang to hit the thin part you can lock onto while avoiding it swings.

When you exit the room, follow the path of the red tendril on the ceiling as it disintegrates. Go through this next door to fight a blue tentacle. You’ll defeat it the same was as the red one, but this one punches toward you instead of swinging at you.
When defeated, follow the blue tendril outside and enter the room to the right. Defeat the Shaboms to get the Compass. Go through the other door to find and defeat the green tentacle.
5. Big Octo Mini-Boss
Return to the room with the fleshy holes and bring Ruto through the blue hole that just opened up. You’ll land on an elevated platform in B1. Get the two Gold Skulltulas nearby, then go through the door to the west.

You’ll find Ruto’s most precious possession in this room, the Zora’s Sapphire. Throw her onto the platform and a mini-boss battle starts.
To defeat the Big Octo, you’re going to want to run around to reach behind it. You’ll go a little bit faster if you run closer to platform in the center.
Throw your Boomerang at the Big Octo’s weak spot, then attack it with your sword while it’s stunned. As the fight goes on, it’ll start spawning Shaboms. Ignore them and continue going after Big Octo. Repeat this process until the Big Octo is defeated, then climb up the platform.

6. Wiggling Flesh Room
You’ll encounter some strange tongue-like wriggling flesh. Hit them with your Boomerang as they wiggle to and fro to create a platform. Jump across and go through the door to the left.

In the next room, look for the small stone block to your right. Throw it across the platforms until it reaches the top, then place it on the floor switch to enter the next room.
7. Out of Reach Switch
Climb up the fleshy pillar to the right. A yellow polyp will be blocked by a thin wall of veins in front of you. Hit it with your Boomerang to unlock the boss room.

Barinade
The source of Jabu-Jabu’s ailments is the Bio-electric Anemone, Barinade. This is the point where bosses get more tricky and challenging, so fighting it with the right strategy is key to surviving this fight.
Break the pots around the room for useful items such as hearts and pink fairies to help keep you alive.
