SWTOR Master the Fight Bundle: Prepare for Battle Edition Overview

Endonae by Endonae|

The Master the Fight: Prepare for Battle Edition Bundle is available now for a limited time only. We’ll tell you everything you need to know, including whether it’s worth a hundred bucks.

The Prepare for Battle Edition Bundle was first released on October 14th, 2026, and is only available until January 12th, 2027.

Contents of the Bundle and FAQ

The Prepare for Battle Edition Bundle contains the following:

  • 180 days of Subscription time – This will allow players access to all SWTOR expansions including Legacy of the Sith, all endgame content, and convenience features.
  • 5,500 Cartel Coins – Digital currency used for the in-game Store, along with the 600 coins you get per month as a subscriber.
  • GDU CS Droid Carrier Mount – Level 1 characters will be able to use this mount without any prerequisites at top speed.
  • Vulcanized Blue + Gray Dye Modules – Dyes used to augment the appearance of a character’s outfit. Each character on an account gets 5 of each dye and they are bound to your Legacy.
  • 3 Server Transfers – Each enables you to transfer a character from one server to another at a time of your choosing
  • Commander’s Character Token – Enables you to create a level 70 character that begins their story on Ossus with Jedi Under Siege and leads into Onslaught and Legacy of the Sith.

Unlike recent editions of the Master the Fight Bundle, the Prepare for Battle Edition does not come with a probe droid minipet or any legacy perk toy replacements.

Who can purchase this offer?

Any player will be able to purchase this bundle regardless of whether they are starting out in SWTOR or if they’re a longtime veteran. You will only be able to purchase this for an account once!

How are the items received after purchase?

The 180 days of subscription time and 5,500 Cartel Coins will be added to your SWTOR account automatically. The Mount and Dye Modules will be sent to all your characters via in-game mail.

The Commander’s Character Token arrives pre-consumed, so you can’t sell it on the GTN like you can if you bought it on the Cartel Market, either, and the same goes for the Server Transfers.

If the mail isn’t coming, try relogging or restarting the game. If the in-game mail is still missing, contact Customer Support.

What are the restrictions of the items included with this bundle?

You cannot trade or transfer contents from this bundle to other players, and the dyes are Bound to Legacy (BtL). You can only purchase the bundle once per account.

How does this affect those with active SWTOR subscriptions?

The time from this bundle will be added to your account as game time just like a subscription, so you’ll be charged for your subscription the next time you run out of game time. 180 days is equivalent to 6 months, which is enough to keep you subscribed from one major update to the next.

GDU CS Droid Carrier Mount

The GDU CS Droid Carrier is rideable at level 1, does not require Speeder Piloting, and offers 130% movement speed (Speeder Piloting V), making it one of the best mounts to use on brand new characters and rarely played alts.

This variant only comes with a single probe droid stowed, and it’s the one that pops out for the mount flourish. It lacks side doors in the front seats like the red variant from the Mobile Market Edition Bundle.

Minipet Platform

The GDU CS Droid Carrier mount features a place to hold your current ground-based minipet.

Companion Seat

The GDU CS Droid Carrier mount features a place to hold your current active humanoid companion. Unfortunately, companions like Bessie just don’t fit in the seat.

Mount Flourish

The Mount Flourish for the GDU CS Droid Carrier mount features only one droid stored inside and deploys the stowed BN Probe Droid from the passenger side compartment. It floats and beeps and boops and follows you, unlike the pet absent from this bundle.

You can only trigger the Mount Flourish with a keybind. The default is CTRL+Z, but you can set it to something else in Preferences → Key Bindings → Movement:

Not Included

The mount does not make use of the Dynamic Mount Colors feature. There are a few taillights, but those remain orange and red for safety purposes. Likewise, the headlight remains warm white.

It does not offer the Enhanced Speed Boosters temporary ability, either, so if you gotta go fast, you gotta buy the Legacy Perk.

Vulcanized Blue | Gray Dyes

The Vulcanized Blue | Gray Dye modules arrive in the mail inside a bundle that when unlocked, grants 5 of each dye module.

These dye modules are bound to Legacy so you’re able to swap them between characters on your Legacy. Since you can just make new toons to get more dyes, they are effectively unlimited.

Vulcanization is a process of hardening rubber, like for tires and such. It’s still reflective, but not as shiny as a metal might be. Vulcanized Blue looks very artificial and pristine, and the gray is just the regular (very light) gray dye color.

The fact that the gray is so blindingly bright makes these dyes extremely hard to use, in my opinion. It’s dark enough that you can tell it’s not white, so it doesn’t look like a Republic uniform, but it’s still very intense in its own way, so the outfits come out super loud and bland at the same time.

I’m pretty sure it’s the same color used for studio color calibration for things like CGI, like it’s the color they use before they actually want something to have color applied to it.

You can make it work if you use some super specific pieces that really only have either primary or secondary regions rather than an even split, but that’s just finding pieces to treat the dyes as if they were primary/secondary only, as these dyes should have been.

Check out our Enhanced Dyes Catalog for more detailed previews of all the shiny dyes in the game.

Prepare for Battle Edition Bundle Monetary Value

The bundle is a pretty great deal. 180 days of subscription time would cost $77.94 USD and the 5500 Cartel Coins at $39.99 USD. If you’re interested in the 3 Server Transfers and Commander’s Character Token, you’d need to pay $39.99 to get enough Cartel Coins to cover the cost.

These items would cost $157.92 USD. While this doesn’t include the value of the dyes and mount, you’re still saving nearly $60 USD at minimum, assuming you actually want all the stuff being offered besides the subscription.

A better way to think about it is that you’re paying full price for the subscription, but you also get 5500 CC, 3 Server Transfers, and a level 70 toon for $22, along with the dyes and mount, all for roughly same normal price as 2400 CC.

Is the Prepare for Battle Edition Bundle worth purchasing?

We think this is an excellent deal for players looking to move a few toons to other servers and play the upcoming 8.0 expansion.

It’s easy to fall down a whale-sized rabbit hole if you whip out your credit card for microtransactions whenever you run out of Cartel Coins (or any other premium currency for any other game), but if you limit yourself to these bundles that only come out every 6 months, you’re getting a pretty sweet deal on Cartel Coins.

In general, these Master the Fight mounts seem to be the best performing mounts in the game for new players and altoholics since you don’t have to bother purchasing Speeder Piloting at all and get to zip around the starter worlds in it.

If you only care about the subscription time and not the goodies, stick to the subscription plan. If you’re a new player, we highly recommend getting either the Enter the Fight Bundle or the Continue the Fight Bundle.

These bundles are cheaper and offer similar features to the Master the Fight Bundle, such as subscription time, Cartel Coins, and a mount you can use at level 1.

You can purchase the Master the Fight: Prepare for Battle Edition Bundle on the SWTOR website for $99.99 USD until January 12th, 2027.
