SWTOR Update 5.9 New Augments Details

Bioware revealed some new details about the upcoming new tier of Augments, being released with SWTOR Game Update 5.9. They will be a step up from the current tier and very expensive!

The new Augments that will be added to the game in Patch 5.9 “The Nathema Conspiracy” will be of item level 240 – Legendary tier. Thy are for the most hardcore players. The stat distribution for these Augments mirror the ones which were introduced in Game Update 5.6 (with the Copero Flashpoint).

To craft these Augments you will need the same materials as those introduced in Game Update 5.6, but at higher quantities. Those materials can be found in Command Crates, from Master Mode Operation bosses, and from Ranked PvP Missions. Crafting boxes with those materials will also be added to Conquests. Medium Yield planets will have a small crafting box and Large Yield Planets will have a large crafting box.

Reminder, the 236 Augments currently In-Game require the following crafting materials:

  • 2x Signal Disrupotor
  • 2x Code Recombinator
  • 1x Encrypted Memory Core
  • 5x Infused Plasteel Armor Assembly Component
  • 2x Charged Matter Tansubstantiator

The 236 Superior Augments have the following stats:

  • +76 Endurance
  • +33 Power
  • +98 Alacryti/Accuracy/Crit/Mastery

The Schematics for new Augments will not be available from the trainers. They will be Bind on Equip drops from the new Flashpoint in 5.9. In Master Mode, every boss has a chance to drop a Schematic and the final boss is guaranteed to drop one. Every enemy throughout the Flashpoint has a very low chance to drop one as well.

UPDATE!

The Patch is now live and the schematics as well as the augments are available. Unlike previously stated by the developers, the schematics do drop quite often from random mobs in all difficulty levels of the new Nathema Flashpoint and they are guaranteed drops from bosses in Master Mode.

The stats are just a few points higher than the 236 augments. Here is an example, matching the one above:

  • + 80 Endurance
  • + 39 Power
  • + 99 Alacrity/Accuracy/Crit/Mastery

For the tank ones, the stats are as follows:

  • + 39 Endurance
  • + 80 Power
  • + 99 Defense/Absorb/Shield/Mastery

The augments fit into an MK-10 Slot, meaning no new Augment slot is required (or released with the game, actually) crafting requirements are as follows:

  • 3x Signal Disrupotor
  • 5x Code Recombinator
  • 3x Encrypted Memory Core
  • 9x Infused Plasteel Armor Assembly Component
  • 4x Charged Matter Tansubstantiator
