The Ossus Daily Missions, released with patch 5.10 “Jedi Under Siege”, allow you to continue your exploration of this ancient world after you complete the main story on it.
In this guide, you will find how to unlock the and pick up the dailies and how to complete their objectives, what rewards they provide, the locations and contents of the new reputation and gear vendors!
Some of the missions are similar between the two factions, others are 100% identical, but a few are unique. What’s even more interesting is that the two factions are often countering each other – Republic builds or deploys something, while the Empire destroys and steals the same items.
There are many videos that complement the written portions of this article.

How to unlock Ossus and access the Daily Missions
The dailies become available after you comple the storyline on Ossus. This content is for level 70 or higher character, though there is no way you would be lower than this by the time you reach this point of the story.
The daily area will be unlocked for you before you complete the main story, if you have previously completed it on another character, thanks to your Legacy unlocked achievement.
Unless you have a specific reason for skipping the story and jumping directly into the dailies, I recommend you do the Ossus story first, then the daily and weekly missions.
Pick up the starter mission at the terminal on board of your personal ship. You can start this story without completing certain previous stories. In this case, an automatic completion process will activate all the “default choices” for your class and faction.
Ossus is the beginning of the storyline that unfolds during the 6.0 Onslaught expansion era.
After you are done with the main missions on Ossus, a new mission will be placed in your inventory:
- “Ossus Assault” for Empire characters – Use the Ossus Empire Mission Board (inside Strike Base XR-484).
- “Ossus Defense” for Republic characters – Use Ossus Republic Mission Board.
Near the boards, you will also find three more NPCs. Each one will grant you a mission as well. I have described each one of them in more details in the next section of the guide. There are videos showing you how to complete them all too.
Your choice during the main storyline of which faction you want to support, does not have a role when it comes to dailies. Empire characters do Empire missions, Republic ones – republic.
Ossus World Bosses
There are two Weekly Missions on Ossus related to defeating the world bosses.
[WEEKLY] Masterwork Data Crystal
It is available from the Mission Board on Ossus.
Tasks:
- Defeat R8-X8, The Heavy Tank Droid (located in Ossus Canyons)
- Defeat Kil’Cik, The Swarm Lord (located in Ancient Ruins)
- Play 15 Warzones (Wins count x3)
Rewards:
- Experience Points (if under level cap)
- Relics of Ossus
- Large Ossus Reputation Token
- Credits
You can pick it up from Ossus Imperial/Republic Mission Board. The two world bosses must be defeated in a group of preferably 16+ players with healers and one or two tanks at least.
There is a non-repeatable mission to defeat the Heavy Tank Droid, R8-X8 and Kil’Cik, The Swarm Lord. This mission is available from the Mission Board and rewards you a 252 weapon in addition to a large reputation gain token and the other more usual rewards.
Kil’cik, the Swarm Lord
The Republic Droid R8-X8 has a shield that you must take down with strong DPS for the first half minute of the fight. If you fail to do that, the boss will reset its HP to 100%.
When you are marked with a red circle, make sure you leave it on an empty area. It turns yellow in a few seconds and that’s when you have to move away from it.
Don’t place these circles on top of Hypergolic Fuel Cells. Ask your tank(s) to keep the boss facing away. His frontal attack can be very deadly, especially with the FPS issues massive fights with a lot of players usually cause.
[WEEKLY] Monumental Data Crystal
This weekly mission tasks you with either defeating the Mutated Geonosian Queen on Veteran Mode or completing up to 30 Arena matches (wins count x3).
This is the only mission on Ossus that currently offers a unique reward. You get an Artifact Lockbox, which contains a piece of 252 gear. You can get a full set of gear from the vendor on Ossus too.
Mission Rewards
The daily and weekly missions on Ossus offer the standard rewards such as Credits, XP, Conquest Commendations and Reputation Items. The weeklies offer some more interesting items.
Daily Mission Rewards
Each daily mission offers a varied combination of the following items, depending on your character’s level.
Icon | Item Name | Amount | When |

[DAILY] Crossed Wires

- Defeat R8-X4F

[DAILY] The Sacred Artifacts

- Retrieve the Ancient Lightsabers: 0/4
- (Update) Retrieve the Holocron

- Scan Jedi Temple
- Scan Jedi Master Monument
- Scan Great Jedi Library
- Scan Jedi Padawan Monument

[DAILY] Sensor Sweep
Enemy movements are suspected in the area near a Jedi Temple in the Canyons. Plant sensors in that area so that Republic Forces can better monitor what the enemy is up to.Tasks:

Test Geonosian Serum: 0/8
Pick it up from Doctor Tramulek, near the Speeder Transport in the Farms. The mission area is also the Farms, where you can target Geonosian NPCs and use the special button next to the mission title in your tracker. Not every NPC will turn, so this might take a while.
[DAILY] Opening a Channel
Communications are being jammed by Imperial forces, making it difficult to coordinate defenses and counter-attacks. Head towards the ruins and eliminate the enemy signal jammers.Tasks:
- Destroy Signal Jammers: 0/4
Pick it up from T4-B4 droid, next to the Speeder Transport in the Ancient Ruins. The signal jammers are usually placed in-front of the communications towers and look like a human-sized pylon. The mission area is the Ancient Ruins.
[DAILY] Patrol: Ossus
The Jedi Colony is under assault by numerous enemies. Show them all the fortitude of the Republic and put a stop to their attacks.
Tasks:
- Complete 5 Daily Missions: 0/5

- Reach the Farmstead
- (Update) Hold off Imperials
- (Update) Survive the Geonosian attack
Pick it up from RC-P9 droid next to the Speeder Transport in the Farms. This Heroic is marked for four players, but it can even be soloed. If you die, just wait for the timer, respawn and continue killing the enemies swarming the place. If you solo it, you may die a few times and that would make the run a lot longer. Can easily be done by two players with companions too.
