How to Get All Achievements in Blood of Dawnwalker

Endonae by Endonae|

There are 46 achievements in The Blood of Dawnwalker. We’ll show you exactly what you need to do to get every single one of them!

Absolutely Insatiable

Have 3 Passive Abilities equipped at the same time.

Passive Abilities are the monochromatic perks on the right side of the skill tree that must be equipped to offer any benefit.

Skill points invested in Passive Abilities don’t count towards the 35 points you need to unlock the Ultimate perk at the bottom.

To get this achievement, you have to equip 3 of them to the radial menu on the Active Abilities tab.

Certain passive abilities like Haste and Mercurial Fervor that don’t take up Active Ability Slots do not count towards the 3 you need equipped.

In general, Passive Abilities give the separate slots in each tree a purpose if you don’t want to use any active abilities.

For example, you can use all 4 Swordmastery Active Abilities regardless of the time of day, so you’d want to get the Passive Abilities for Witchcraft and Vampirism so their respective slots don’t go to waste.

Likewise, if you’re focusing on Vampirism and Witchcraft Active Abilities, you’d want to buy and equip the Swordsmastery Passive Abilities.

You can only make full use of all 4 slots in each tree if you use 2 Actives and 2 Passives from each tree.

On the Active Abilities tab, you need to have 3 of the monochrome passive abilities unlocked and have the green checkmark. You’ll see them on the radial wheel as well.

The Manumit

Learn all of Crake’s secrets.

You get The Manumit achievement for completing the entire Manumit questline up to the point of no return, including the optional ones like surveilling Ascar in Tantari and checking on Crake when he leaves the city for some alone time.

  1. Under Watchful Eyes
  2. The Firebrand
  3. Shadows in the Woods
  4. Where Loyalty Lies
  5. What Hunts the Night
  6. What Moves the Dead
  7. Distant Shadows
  8. A Closer Look
  9. Who Pulls the Strings

Antique Aficionado

Discover Ancient Ruins.

Ancient Ruins might as well be the bedrock of Vale Sangora, so you’ve probably already gotten this achievement by accident. If you missed it, you’ll get it while finding pieces of the Ancient Hero’s set.

Arbiter’s Blade

Restore St Mihai’s sword to its former glory.

You unlock the Arbiter’s Blade achievement for completing the quest “Forge It Anew” by collecting all 3 silver sword shards and the hilt of St. Mihai’s sword, reforging it with the Uriashi blacksmith, and tempering it in the nearby cave.

How to get the Sword of St. Mihai

Arbiter’s Regalia

Gather all the parts of the Arbiter’s set of armour and unlock their full potential.

You unlock the Arbiter’s Regalia achievement for completing the quest “A Bulwark Against Darkness” by collecting a holy relic, a Large Lizard’s Moult, the Flask of Quicksilver, and the Silk Threads, handing them all over to the Uriashi blacksmith, and partaking in the ritual to enchant the set.

How to get the Arbiter’s Set

Arch Warlock

Unlock an Ultimate Perk in the Witchcraft tree.

Unlocking an Ultimate Perk in the Witchcraft tree requires you to spend 35 skill points on perks in the Witchcraft tree, then spending 4 skill points and 2 hours on one of the Ultimate Perks at the bottom.

Keep in mind that Abilities do not count towards the 35 skill point requirement. It is possible to get an Ultimate Perk from every tree in a single playthrough if you just do the 35 points in each tree and the ultimate.

A Dawnwalker is Born

Complete the prologue and venture out into the open world.

The prologue ends when you clear out the debris blocking the gates out of Laslea Glen with Anca the day after Brencis transforms you.

Glass Ceiling

Reach Level 50.

Level 50 is the cap for earning XP from quests and defeating enemies. You can still get Skill Points from completing quests. It is possible to reach level 50 before your time runs out if you avoid menial tasks and fight enemies out in the open world, rather than avoiding them.

Balanced Diet

Quench your thirst by drinking 10 animals, humans, or monsters.

You should get this achievement pretty early in your first playthrough at night by using the Voracious Bite ability liberally.

Make It Rain

Cause an enemy to explode using an Active Ability.

The Blood Surge Ability in the Vampirism tree causes the target to explode and the first time you use it, you get this achievement.

You unlock the Blood Surge ability by drinking Xanthe’s blood, which you can do when you defeat her or drink the Phial of Xanthe’s Blood that you find in the Blood Reliquary in the Treasury at the Svartrau Cathedral Complex.

All Legendary Vrakhiri Blood Phial Locations

Capture the Flag

Tear down all of Brencis’s flags.

Brencis’s flags are hanging above each of the 5 gatehouses in embedded in the wall surrounding Svartrau City. The wall is teeming with Brencis’s soldiers, but inside each gatehouse you’ll find a quest called Banner of Oppression.

There are 5 banners in total, and each one costs an hour to cut for some reason, but you only get a little bit of XP for doing it. The only reason to cutting the banners is if you want to crank up your Infamy rank (and get the achievement).

Creature of the Night

Unlock an Ultimate Perk in the Vampirism tree.

Unlike with the Witchcraft and Swordmastery trees, you unlock new perks by increasing your Corruption level by drinking blood. You unlock the Ultimate Perks by reaching Corruption Level 15, which is the maximum, no spending skill points required.

There are no story consequences or gameplay drawbacks associated with increasing your Corruption Level, so there’s no reason not to do it. At the same time, there’s also no need to waste skill points on the Hastened Corruption Perk because skill points will be the bottleneck on perk and ability acquisition, not corruption level.

Dead Man Talkin’

Speak with a dead person using the Compel Soul Witchcraft Ability.

You will get this achievement automatically near the end of the prologue ability when Anca teaches you the Compel Soul ability.

Compel Soul Locations

Delivery Delay

Destroy 8 vrakhiri transports.

Vrakhiri transports are moving quests you can complete to anger the associated boyar. There are 10 vrakhiri transports in total, and some of them disappear when you defeat the boyar, so make sure to do these first.

You can stumble upon them like normal quests, but you’ll learn their routes and get them marked on your map if you find and read relevant intel usually located at the site of another boyar activity.

Uphill Battle

Complete the entire game by saving people of Laslea on Duelist Difficulty preset.

Duelist Difficulty is the highest difficulty in the game, and you have to play through the whole thing without changing it. You lose access to directional indicators and have less stamina, but enemies have less health, deal more damage, and behave more aggressively.

You shouldn’t play through the game on a lower difficulty the first time around so you can get the hang of directional attacks, but after that, Duelist difficulty is the definitive way to replay The Blood of Dawnwalker.

It makes combat feel a lot more immersive and engaging because you actually have to watch enemy movements and block and swing properly instead of button mashing or keeping your eyes glues to interface arrows.

The difficulty becomes less pronounced as you level up and get better gear and survivability.

Together Forever

Stay with your family. It’s safe if you stick together. You’ll never lose them again. Ever.

There’s a nightmare trap waiting for you at the top of Aurelius’s Tower in The Silts of Xanthe’s Fiefdom. If you repeat the nightmare 4 times by fighting the gargoyle at the end instead of going down the well, you’ll experience the “Together Forever” ending.

Together Forever Guide

Gear of the Gods

Fill all equipment slots with Legendary items.

Denoted by their gold iconography and distinguished by offering 4 stat boosts, legendary items are the best quality equipment in the game.

You get the Gear of the Gods achievement as soon as you have a gold item in each equipment slot. Level doesn’t matter, nor do you need to keep using it.

Below, you can check out our catalogs for all legendary items in the game:

Throne of Thorns

Reach peak Infamy in Vale Sangora.

You get the Throne of Thorns for reaching Infamy Rank IX: Dreaded. Your infamy increases as you complete quests listed on the Court tab and defeat boyars. Your infamy also increases as you clear out Soldier Camps and Military Checkpoints throughout the valley.

Each time your Infamy Rank reaches the next level, Brencis will issue an edict at the start of the next morning. You can only get one new edict per day.

All Edicts

Below is a list of all Edicts in the order Brencis issues them:

  1. Additional patrols in settlements
  2. Military checkpoints appear throughout the valley
  3. Prices increase throughout the valley
  4. Additional soldiers patrol on the road, and patrol commanders now recognize Coen
  5. Fewer people outdoors at night
  6. Further military checkpoints appear throughout the valley and prices increase further throughout the valley
  7. Headhunters appear in the valley, and all soldiers now recognize Coen and will attack on site
  8. All soldiers become stronger
  9. Svartrau gates are shut permanently, and Svartrau Cathedral is locked during the day

In the Nick of Time

Rescue your family before the time runs out.

You have 30 days to rescue your family from Brencis, so you just have to storm Greifberg Castle before that happens and beat the game before time runs out. After that, your family is executed and you see a brief cutscene where Coen realizes, but the game changes very little beyond that.

Shadow Roamer

Travel 1000 metres using Vampiric Abilities.

Haste, Shadow Step, and Plane Shift count as Vampiric Abilities. This achievement pops when you have traveled around using those methods for a total of 1000m, and the game just keeps track of that in the background.

Master of Arms

Unlock an Ultimate Perk in the Swordmastery tree.

To unlock the ability to unlock an Ultimate Perk in the Swordmastery tree, you have to spend 35 skill points on regular Perks in the Swordmastery tree. Active and Passive Abilities do not count.

Untouchable

Perform 5 Perfect Blocks in a row.

You trigger a Perfect Block when you do a successful Directional Block at the last moment. You get the Untouchable achievement for doing that 5 times in a row.

If you’re having trouble, unlock and fully upgrade Boyar Ambrus’s Scarlet Shield passive in the Vampirism Tree (and equip it) and use either The Kingslayer or The Runner-Up to increase the timing window.

Big-City Living

Visit the City of Svartrau.

Svartrau is the big city in the middle of Vale Sangora. You’ll get this achievement as soon as you set foot inside its walls.

Miser

Accumulate 5000 denarii. What are you planning to buy, mate?

This achievement will pop in the late game when you start to run up against your Carry Weight limit and need to sell off all the loot you just bagged. Level 50 purple equipment is worth 500+ apiece, so once you have 10 purple pieces, just selling them to the vendor all at once will push you over the cap.

I highly recommend getting Bewitching Influence Level 1 + 2 Perks in the Witchcraft tree as early as possible. You can also earn money each day by fully upgrading other crafting perks, especially Forager and Medicus II.

Misery Loves Company

Discard common sense, follow Lacra, and find the mandrake.

You get an achievement for completing the final optional quest called “The Night of Horrors” in Lacra’s questline:

  1. A Friend Like This
  2. Song of the Mountain
  3. Hive and Seek
  4. Our Rotten Roots
  5. The Night of Horrors (optional)
  6. Midnight Reckoning

Better Safe than Sorry

Behead an enemy with Artery Strike while they’re also hexed with Burning Blood.

Artery Strike is a Swordmastery ability and Burning Blood is a Witchcraft ability. You only have a chance to decapitate with Artery Strike unless you fully upgrade it, in which case it’s guaranteed to trigger against Bleeding enemies.

Mastery

Level up one Swordmastery, Witchcraft, or Vampiric Ability to its full potential.

You just have to fully level up a single Ability to level 4 to get this achievement.

It’s cheapest to do this with the Vampiric abilities because you get a free upgrade each time you drink a specific vrakhir’s blood.

Some vrakhiri have 3 sources of blood in the game, so you only need to spend skill points on a single upgrade.

Feral Hunger

Lose control and drain someone outside of combat.

If you talk to an NPC while you only have 1 health segment left at night in vrakhir form, you’ll automatically drink their blood. You can also get this achievement by pressing the flashing red dialogue option to “give into your hunger”.

Selfish

Sell fish to a fishmonger.

There’s a fishmonger NPC vendor in the Altenmarkt district of Svartrau City, though they disappear along with the other unimportant vendors when your Infamy rank gets too high or you accidentally kill them while fighting the guards in the area.

Sins of the Past

Accompany Anca on her daring adventure to the Font of Life.

You get this achievement for completing Anca’s second quest called “Stronger than Achilles”, which takes place after Echoes of Silenced Bells.

Smuggler

Earn 1000 denarii selling silver.

You can find Silver in most treasure chests, but there’s a giant manumit cache of it behind the waterfall by the great bridge northeast of Svartrau City.

This is the only waterfall cave in all of Vale Sangora and boy is it a juicy one! Alongside all that silver, you’ll find the legendary Arbiter’s Medallion.

Silver Traders

There are only 3 silver traders throughout Vale Sangora and all of them can be killed or permanently refuse to sell to you, so be careful about committing crimes or being violent around them.

“Official” Silver Trader in Svartrau

The “official” silver trader operates out of a house on the edge of Neustadt in Svartrau. Brencis has posted a pair of guards along the main road into his neighborhood and there are a pair of hostile thieves loitering behind them.

Don’t fight too close to his house or steal anything in the vicinity after engaging them in combat or the silver trader will join in. If this happens, reload the save.

Merchant in Tantari

There’s a regular merchant in the middle of Tantari Village who buys both silver AND shiny teeth. There’s no special dialogue or backstory to indicate why this guy would buy either thing, so it may be a bug.

Dragan the Butcher in Svartrau

You can learn that the Butcher in Altenmarkt is a silver trader through Ocha’s quest called “The Heart Wants What It Wants” that begins at the nearby tavern. You will lose access to this vendor if you fight Andrei.

Bird’s-Eye View

Climb all the towers and scout the surrounding areas.

Towers reveal points of interest throughout Vale Sangora. You can only climb them at night since you need to rely on Shadow Step and Planeshift to reach the top. Each one grants 100 XP and does not have a time cost associated with it. There’s usually a treasure chest near the top, too.

Tower Climbing Guide

The Blood of Dawnwalker

Finish the story.

You get this achievement whenever you see the credits roll. There are multiple endings that will trigger it.

All Endings Guide

A Hero They Deserve

Escape Vale Sangora, escape responsibility. Phew.

You get this achievement by leaving Vale Sangora under the cover of night, scaling the walled gates using Shadow Step.

A Hero They Deserve Guide

The Dark Mistress

Neutralise the threat posed by Xanthe.

You get this achievement for defeating Boyaress Xanthe. You can find her every other night christening new Blood Guards in Svartrau Cathedral, or you can explore the horror show at Howling Keep after angering her and getting the first lantern.

Defeating her unlocks all the lantern doors, so you don’t have to solve a spooky puzzle to get all the loot inside, but there’s a fair bit of lore inside and the story will make more sense if you do it that way.

The Folk Hero

Defeat Brencis on your own. All the glory is yours. Yours alone. Nobody else’s.

You get this achievement for defeating Brencis without the help of Lacra or Crake by choosing to invade Greifberg Castle at night by Shadow Stepping over the walls, or sneaking in through the back.

The Folk Hero Guide

The Knyazmaker

Defeat Brencis together with Crake.

You get this achievement for defeating Brencis with Crake. You’ll need to complete Crake and the Manumits’s entire questline and then not betray him or let him die on the way.

The Knyazmaker Guide

The Mad Khan

Kill Bakir during the games. Vale Sangora will need a new game master.

You get this achievement for defeating Boyar Bakir during the quest “The Lunar Game” at The Lunar Manor in Xanthe’s Fiefdom. A man named Farkas will approach you after you’ve angered Bakir and initiate this quest.

The Patricide

Defeat Brencis together with Lacra.

You get this achievement for defeating Brencis with Lacra. You need to complete Lacra’s entire questline and then not betray her or let her die at the end, so you’ll need to complete the optional Mandrake quest (called “The Night of Horrors”).

The Patricide Guide

The Outcast

Help Ocha find her new destiny.

You receive The Outcast achievement for completing Ocha’s quest called “The Heart Wants What It Wants” that begins when you approach her in the tavern Altenmarkt in Svartrau.

The outcome of the quest has other consequences and will help you gain access to the Uriash Village in Bakir’s Fiefdom as part of Lacra’s quest, but where Ocha ends up does not matter for the purposes of this achievement.

The Right Fist of the Knyaz

Kill Ambrus in the duel. Wipe that smirk off his face.

You get this achievement for defeating Boyar Ambrus outside Maragir after angering him. You do not need to bother with Iulian Codrin’s quest.

Boyar Ambrus Guide

The Turncoat

Betray your allies to strike a deal with Brencis and get your family back.

You get this achievement for betraying either Crake or Lacra during either of their ending quests or if you negotiate a deal with Brencis on your own. You can only get this achievement by facing off against him while your family is still alive before the month is up.

Endings Guide

The Unquenchable Thirst

Find out the truth about Vicho.

At the end of Vicho’s quest called “A Study in Crimson”, you’ll loot a key to a chest from the late Dr. Simeon. Vicho leaves before you can open it, but inside the chest, you’ll find a note that implicates Vicho in the murders of his friends.

A few days later, a quest will be offered by a Medic vendor near Vicho’s house in Svartrau. The quest is called “The Good Samaritan” and will task you with delivering medicine to a farm outside Svartrau proper.

Unless you leave the medicine on the doorstep, you’ll discover that Vicho drained more of his friends during another blackout. Informing Vicho of their deaths will grant this achievement, but you might not have to tell him the truth.

Telling Vicho that he was responsible means he will commit suicide, though you can persuade him not to.

The Tsarina’s Favourite Human

Complete every task given by the sanzhani.

You get this achievement for completing Letters to Lunka and speaking with the Sanzhani Tsarina afterward. There are 5 quests in total, though 4 of them only unlock after you send the first letter to Lunka because the sanzhani don’t reveal themselves to you until then.

We don’t want to rob you of the magical experience with this quest chain. It’s best to go into it with as little information as possible, so we’re only going to show you the locations where each quest starts.

Good Home and Letters to Lunka

You’ll unlock the quest “Good Home” if you follow the magic mushrooms visible from the west road around Svartrau Outskirts. You can save an hour by going directly to the Wooden Palace and avoiding Oghasti until the quest is over (though you will want to go back there).

There are consequences for the characters involved, but it doesn’t matter if you choose to advocate for Tonis or the Sanzhani Tsarina’s wishes.

Pearly and Precious

You can start this sanzhani quest at a campsite on the south bank of the river dividing Bakir and Ambrus’s Fiefdoms.

It’s good to do this particular quest line as early as possible because it opens up a source of passive income for you for the rest of the came.

Tiny Dancer

You can start the Tiny Dancer quest by investigating an unmarked balcony east of the Curious House in central Svartrau.

Come Hither

You can start this quest near a dead man hanging from a tree along the main latitudinal road through Xanthe’s Fiefdom north of Howling Keep.

Burrow Sorrows

You can start this quest along the road to Pieter’s secret glade between Rockfalls and Boar’s Back in Bakir’s Fiefdom.

Tour Guide Training

Visit all of Vale Sangora’s villages.

There are 6-8 villages you’ll need to visit to get the Tour Guide Training achievement. It’s unclear exactly which of the following locations are included in this achievement. This list is based on the Settlement landmark shown on the game’s map:

  • Laslea at the start of the game
  • Maragir (and possibly the Military Camp) in Ambrus’s Fiefdom
  • Parlita, the Uriash Village, and Oghasti in Bakir’s Fiefdom
  • Tantari in Xanthe’s Fiefdom
  • Svartrau City in the heart of Vale Sangora

Realmwalker

Visit Anachora for the first time.

You visit Anachora whenever you drain another dying vrakhir’s blood, though the phase two part of the fight against Brencis also takes place there.

  • Boyar Ambrus
  • Boyar Bakir
  • Boyar Xanthe
  • Lacra (at Uriash Village if you disagree with her decisions)
  • Isbrand (during “Our Rotten Roots”, the third Lacra quest)
  • Knyaz Brencis

It is possible to completely avoid visiting Anachora in the game if you avoid draining each Vrakhir and cut a deal with Brencis at the end of the game instead of fighting him.
