Abyss Cell

You’ll synthesize your first Abyss Cell during the main quest Abyss Without Balance. After that, you have two ways to farm it.

Farm Abyss Creatures

Abyss creatures have a chance to drop Abyss Cells when defeated. Some of the best groups are one-time encounters: once you clear them, they don’t respawn, so they’re worth hunting down while you explore.

One such spot is The Sage’s Peak, at the northern tip of Hernand where it meets Pailune’s Silver Wolf Mountain. Fast travel to the Sage’s Peak Abyss Nexus and clear the stone-bodied Abyss creatures on the slopes around it. They hit harder than regular wildlife, so come prepared.

You will have other reasons to visit this location sooner or later anyway, like for example to solve the Ancient Sealed Gate Puzzle, which is located in a cave below the peak itself.

Grow them yourself

Once you’ve cleared the one-time spots, your camp farm is the best steady source. When you’ve unlocked the farm at Greymane Camp, select an Abyss Cell in your inventory and choose “Use” to turn it into an Abyss Seed, then plant it in one of your farm plots. Always fertilize your Abyss trees. A fertilized tree yields more Abyss Cells.
