You can track your progress with the Secret Places Challenges in-game by navigating to Journal → Challenges → Exploration → (Wandering Footsteps) Secret Places.
The Secret Places category covers all non-puzzle Abyss Cressets in the game, so you can spot them with Blinding Flash if you’re close enough.
On top of being able to warp back to these spots, most of them mark the most interesting and picturesque locations in Pywel.

Precipice of Silence
You can find an Abyss Cresset at the top of one of the hills of Everfrost, in southwestern Hernand. The location is directly south from the letter “H” on the map and it’s a steep climb.
Giant Hand at Windy Hills
You can find an Abyss Cresset looking towards the Spire of Ringing Truth in western Pailune.
Breathless Lake
You can find an Abyss Cresset in the middle of a brimstone deposit on Deadfire Mountain, north of Hexe Sanctuary and Tariv.
Peak’s Green Bloom
You can find the second of two Abyss Cressets atop rock pillars in the southwestern region of the Serpent Marsh between Demeniss and Delesyia.
Lava Under Snowy Plains
You can find an Abyss Cresset (and deposit of Bloodstones) in Dragon’s Breath Cave, a volcano south of Ashclaw Keep in Pailune.
Blazing Sand
You can find an Abyss Cresset in the middle of a flaming put northeast of Rattlesnake Steppe along the southeastern edge of the Crimson Desert. Make sure you have high Fire Resistance before setting foot here.
A Detailed Glance
You can find an Abyss Cresset on the cliff overlooking Sunset Valley in the southwestern corner of the map in Hernand.
Giant Hand of Everfrost
You can find an Abyss Cresset on the mountaintop southwest of Icemoor Castle Ruins overlooking the Spire of the Stars, far to the south.
Trial of the Sandscale
You can find an Abyss Cresset in the middle of some quicksand in the middle of the Forebearer’s Barrens in the western part of the Crimson Desert.
The Southern End
There’s an Abyss Cresset on an island far off the southeastern coast of Delesyia. IT’s best to fly there using something like Blackstar or the Wyvern.
The Desert’s Oasis
There’s an Abyss Cresset on the small island in the middle of the oasis along the northeastern edge of the Crimson Desert between Urdavah and Varnia.
Cliffside Sea Stack
You can find an Abyss Cresset overlooking Marni Castle and the Port of Delesyia on a small outcrop across the rivermouth in Delesyia.
A Hill Guided by Light
You can find an Abyss Cresset at the top of a small plateau southwest of Anvil Hill around the Nas River Bend. There’s some Gypsum and poison hands complicating your climb, and the purple flowers on top of the plateau will drain your health.
Guide in the Darkness
There’s an Abyss Cresset beneath the ruins of the Sanctum of Deliverance in northern Hernand.
It’s pitch dark inside this part of the ruins, and the entrance is through some crumbling floor southwest of the Sanctum proper.
Where Sky Meets Earth
You can find an Abyss Cresset at the very top of Trembling Gorge, east of Pororin, on the southern part of the border between Hernand and Demeniss.
Rock Worn Down by the Ocean Wind
You can find an Abyss Cresset in a cavern on a tiny island along the coast south of Bowspirit Cape, east of the Steel Mountains in the southwestern corner of Demeniss.
An Unreachable End
You can find an Abyss Cresset along the coast of the Steel Mountains on the border between Demeniss and Hernand.
Rock Atop the Altar
You can find an Abyss Cresset on the island north of the Serpent Shrine off the coast of Three Brothers’ Cliff in southwestern Delesyia.
Subtle Gap
You can find an Abyss Cresset in a small cave at the Wild Raider’s Camp on Anvill Hill in eastern Hernand.
The cave opening is pretty small and partially concealed by bushes.
Haven Past the Snowfall
You can find an Abyss Cresset overlooking the Scholastone Institute and Spire of Stars at the end of the winding path along the western edge of the map in the Everfrost of Hernand.
Windcrest
You can find an Abyss Cresset after making a big climb up the mountains west of the Hill of the Abandoned on the Mountain of Frozen Souls in southwestern Hernand.
Hill of the Abandoned
You can find an Abyss Cresset near the field of reeds on the Mountain of Frozen Souls in southwestern Hernand. Look for a Bloodstone Vein and climb up the wall it’s on to find the Cresset.
Wrecked Dream
You can find an Abyss Cresset on a tiny peninsula along the coast of the Steel Mountains near the border between Hernand and Demeniss.
Hill of Serenity
You can find an Abyss Cresset overlooking Bowspirit Cape and Serpent Marsh northwest of Thornbriar Fortress in southwestern Demeniss.
The Stairway Falls
You can find an Abyss Cresset at the base of The Stairway Falls along the east side of the Steel Mountains coast in southwestern Demeniss.
Strange Rift
You can find an Abyss Cresset in a basalt cave on Bowsprit Cape by the Southern Eldertree in southern Demeniss. You can also hunt the Vine Deer, a legendary beast nearby.
Peak of Enlightenment
You can find the first of two Abyss Cressets atop rock pillars in the southwestern region of the Serpent Marsh between Demeniss and Delesyia.
Sanctuary of Reflection
You can find an Abyss Cresset inside the tiny Morning Mist Cave in the Serpent Marsh, between Demenss and Delesyia, where the water makes a 90-degree turn.
Thunderwater Falls
You can find an Abyss Cresset at Thunderwater Falls, near the Sanctum of Revelation on the northeastern side of Serpent Marsh between Demeniss and Delesyia.
Edge of Learning
You can find an Abyss Cresset on a pillar rock between Serpent Marsh and the mainland on the eastern edge of Demeniss.
Threefold Fork
You can find an Abyss Cresset on the island in the middle of the fork in the river east of the Breezeblown Knoll in northeastern Demeniss.
The Secret-Laden Cave
You can find an Abyss Cresset in the Delesia Ancient Waterway beneath the Eastern Hills in Delesyia. You might want to mark this one on your map so you know not to use it for fast travel.
Peak of the Innovative Mind
You can find an Abyss Cresset on a peak east of Mt. Benus in eastern Delesyia.
Cape of Hope
You can find an Abyss Cresset in on the mountain range north of the Cliff of Despair in Dewhaven in Delesyia.
Hunter’s Overlook
You can find an Abyss Cresset across the bay from Bowspirit Cape northwest of Three Brothers’ Cliff in southwestern Delesyia.
Forgotten Cliff
You can find an Abyss Cresset overlooking Saltroad Camp in the Trader’s Expanse south of Varnia in the Crimson Desert.
Saltshade Hill
You can find an Abyss Cresset on a cliff along the road halfway between Urdavah and Varnia in the Crimson Desert.
Everflowing Spring
You can find an Abyss Cresset at the oasis east of the road and about halfway between Urdavah and Varnia in the Crimson Desert.
Crimson Ridge
You can find an Abyss Cresset near the river between Urdavah and Varnia, north of Helms territory in the Crimson Desert.
Hangman’s Crest
You can find Hangman’s Crest at Hangman’s Pass overlooking the jungle from the east that separates Delesyia and the Crimson Desert.
Peak of Abundance
You can find an Abyss Cresset on the eastern edge of the jungle and the Crimson Mountains in the southeastern corner of the Crimson Desert.
Arehaza Peak
You can find an Abyss Cresset in the heart of the jungle separating Demeniss from Delesyia east of Bordig Ruins.
Hill of Grief
You can find an Abyss Cresset overlooking the quicksand pit in the Forebearer’s Barrens in the western part of the Crimson Desert. This is a different location from the Peak of Grief.
Remnants of Ruin
You can find an Abyss Cresset overlooking The Forgotten City, north of the Forebearer’s Barrens in the western part of the Crimson Desert.
The Desert’s End
You can find an Abyss Cresset on the tall rock formation northeast of Outlaw Canyon and north of the road between Urdavah and Varnia in the Crimson Desert.
Howlsands Dunes
You can find an Abyss Cresset northwest of the Howlsands Camp a little ways off the road between Urdavah and Varnia in the Crimson Desert.
Mushroomcap Cliff
You can find an Abyss Cresset overlooking a herd of elephants and the Varnia Saltroad Camp from the north near Varnia in the Crimson Desert.
Ivory Marches Garden
You can find an Abyss Cresset on a little island at the Ivory Marches Garden Oasis on the plateau south of Varnia in the Crimson Desert.
Whitesand Cliff
You can find an Abyss Cresset overlooking the city of Varnia from the north edge of the map of the Crimson Desert.
Cliff of Ruination
You can find an Abyss Cresset on the mountain overlooking the Cloister of Ruination in northwestern Pailune. You’ll need to defeat all 3 of Antumbra’s weapons before you can face off against Ator, Archon of Antumbra, here.
The Wolf’s Molar
You can find an Abyss Cresset overlooking Odeck on Silver Wolf Mountain in northern Pailune.
The Sage’s Rest
You can find an Abyss Cresset on a mountain peak overlooking both Calphade and some forts in Pailune on the latter’s side of the Upper Nas River.
Where the Stars Linger
You can find an Abyss Cresset north of the Upper Denn River that flows into Odeck in northwestern Pailune.
Hill of Longing
You can find an Abyss Cresset overlooking Pailune City across the Upper Denn River from the Black Wall in Pailune.
Silverwolf Lake
You can find an Abyss Cresset at the island in the middle of Silverwolf Lake, east of Silverwolf Mountain and north of Pailune City in Pailune.
Ancestor’s Rest
You can find an Abyss Cresset on a cliff at the Upper Denn River waterfall on the southern edge of Pailune City in Pailune.
Peak of Grief
You can find an Abyss Cresset overlooking the Great Gate of Urdavah and the Spire of the Sun from the western edge of the Forebearer’s Barrens in the Crimson Desert.
The Dragon’s Gaze
You can find an Abyss Cresset atop the World’s Navel, west of the Great Gate of Urdavah, in the Crimson Desert.
Sandsea Waymark
You can find an Abyss Cresset overlooking Urdavah and Tashkalp in the western wastes of the Crimson Desert.
Watcher on the Cliff
You can find an Abyss Cresset northeast of Hoenmark Ruins in the western Everfrost of Hernand. It’s permanently a blizzard over there, so bring some Ice Resistance.
