Passage of Malice Puzzle Walkthrough in Crimson Desert

Learn how to complete the Passage of Malice puzzle in Crimson Desert. You’ll need to line up the lasers to the nodes to solve this puzzle, but it’s easy to overlook some simple mechanics. This guide will show you how to complete it.

The Passage of Malice is the second in a series of Abyss puzzles. The order of this puzzle chain is as follows:

Line up the lasers to the nodes

After arriving here from the Spire of Frost, you’ll find yourself in the Passage of Malice. To your left is a laser, pull it to the center of the most forward tile to power the node and open a door beneath you.

Go down below and you’ll find more lasers and nodes. To the left and right are two control switches you can activate with Axiom Force. You can choose one of the four cubes on a side and rotate them to reveal a track or node.

On the left side, move the laser to the center of the third cube down. For the right, move the laser to the center of the second cube down. Rotate the cubes the lasers are targeting so that it hits the nodes to solve the puzzle.

Go through the door, place the power cell into its socket, and activate the big switch to unlock the area’s Abyss Artifact. Take the teleporter to go back upstairs to reach the Abyss Artifact.

Fruit of Life and Treasure Chest

Past the obelisk is a single tree with a fruit within its trunk. Pick it up to acquire the Fruit of Life. This is a key item and cannot be consumed.

Activate the Skybridge and look for a hidden chest at the bottom of the first long column. It’s surrounded by lasers, so you’ll need to deactivate them by hitting their deactivation switches.

Jump down to the moving platform and used Focused Shot to mark the three targets and release. Upon hitting all three switches, you’ll be free to loot the chest and get a Faded Abyss Artifact and a Frostward II Abyss Gear.
