Increase Grip

Reduces the chance of slipping when Climbing

Special gloves designed to maximize friction on the palms. They are essential for rock climbing and serve as a lifeline when clinging to thrashing flying creatures. When worn with pairing boots that enhance grip, they allow the wearer to maintain a perfect stance, unbothered by even the most violent shake.

You can loot the Reins of Open Sky from a treasure chest in the Arboria Spider Cave north of Arboria Castle and east of Calphade in the Hills of No Return. The chest is concealed by some dense webs.

While there are a lot of spider webs and egg/food(?) pouches, thankfully, there are no actual spider enemies anywhere in the game outside of fluffy Queen Spider at Arboria Castle where you get the Stirrups of Open Sky. The “Open Sky” set only consists of the Reins (Gloves) and Stirrups (Boots).

Lightning Resistance Icon

Lightning Affinity

Unarmed attacks can deal lightning damage. This effect can be charged up to 3 times, with each charge having a 5 second cooldown.

An ancient equipment woven tightly with unique fibers and metals. It converts the friction generated upon impact into destructive electrical currents. Charges accumulate rapidly during relentless barrages of strikes, ultimately unleashing power akin to a massive lightning bolt.

Formerly called Combat God’s Plate Gloves (I guess that was too uncouth for a M-rated game), the Champion’s Plate Gloves are hands down the best gloves in the game for Kliff.

The lightning effect is heavily restricted by the charges and cooldown time, preventing it from having a substantial impact on proper unarmed combat. They are better suited to buffing regular punches (RB + X | R1 + ☐ | F) alongside armed combat, though they are still better than anything else.

The Champion’s Plate Gloves also come with a great unique Abyss Gear called The Showstopper that applies a knockback to the final hit in the unarmed attack sequence. Relentless is not unique but pairs well with unarmed attacks.

You receive the Champions Plate Gloves for defeating Muskan at the Bonepit arena in Tommaso in the Tashkalp region of the Crimson Desert. To fight Muskan, you must defeat 3 other fighters in a row (without leaving) and Muskan will be your 4th opponent.

All-Purpose Arm

Look at a locked door and press Interact to unlock it. This effect has a 10 minute cooldown.

Tech Gloves

It appears to be an ordinary piece of self-defense equipment, but a complex clockwork mechanism is hidden within. Even without a key, small mechanical arms can spring from the gaps in the metal plates, skillfully manipulating the pins of the lock to open the door.

The Tech Gloves act as a free, reusable, spare key for normal locked doors with stats balanced like Plate armor.

You receive the Tech Gloves for taking down Ironwing REN-X flying around near the Aeronautical Research Base on the southeast coast of Delesyia. There is a Delesyian Aerial Force Faction Quest called “Wings Across the Sky” associated with this robotic pterodactyl.

You’ll need to ride on Blackstar or maybe use Oongka’s Jetpack to get up there, though I’m not sure if the latter is fast enough. There is also a Marni teleporter nearby in the sky, but Blackstar is the intended method.

Bow Icon

Enhanced Arrows

Successful basic bow attacks will ricochet to nearby enemies, hitting up to 3 targets. This effect can be charged up to 5 times, with each charge having a 10 second cooldown.

Strongbow Gloves

The knuckles are reinforced with special leather, allowing the bowstring to be drawn to its absolute limit. Arrows fired with such high tension absorb the impact upon hit, ricocheting to nearby enemies to inflict a series of wounds.

The Strongbow Gloves improve the effectiveness of your regular Bow shots, causing them to ricochet. Unfortunately, these gloves eventually break and aren’t upgradeable, nor do they have a Kuku version.

Strongbow Gloves have a chance to drop from Blinding Arrows enemies, which you can find most reliably when they (Re-)Blockade Bloodsteel Camp in the Steel Mountains on the border between Hernand and Demeniss.

Make sure your Re-Blockade Frequency is set to Conflict or War in the settings so you can stock up on multiple copies.

Great Thief

Allows the wearer to commit theft without being detected. This effect has a 30-minute cooldown.

Gloves enchanted with perception-altering magic. These ensure the victim doesn’t realize something’s been stolen and is the secret to how the legendary master thief never once appeared on a bounty notice.

The Great Thief’s Gloves allow you to steal one item without risk of being caught every 30 minutes. While they are upgradeable, it’s risky to leave them equipped all the time lest you accidentally put the gloves on cooldown by stealing something when no one was watching.

It may be worthwhile to embed a pair of Ledgermain Abyss Gears to improve your odds at pickpocketing.

You receive the Great Thief’s Gloves for completing the House Serkis Faction Quest called “Secret of the Lost Seal” in Hernand. You have to go on a guided scavenger hunt for a missing royal seal and figure out whoever stole it.

It’s unclear what triggers the quest to appear but keep doing Faction and Main Story quests in Hernand and it should eventually pop up at Oakenshield Manor in Hernand Town.

Insulated Gloves

Woven from insulated bark without a single metal component, this gear protects the wearer from hazardous sparks and electrical leaks during smithing. Though it appears crude, it possesses high resistance capable of grounding even the most powerful lightning magic.

Insulated Gloves feature Lightning Resistance Lv 5 in lieu of an extra Abyss Gear socket, so you’re trading customization for a single additional level of Lightning Resistance compared to what you could achieve with any Leather Gloves and a Shockward III.

They are also the only obtainable piece of the Ironflame Orcs’ uniform, and despite this, Oongka can’t wear them!

You can purchase the Insulated Gloves for 36.70 Silver from the Sky Galleon Vargon Shop on the blimp that flies around Delesyia. You’ll need to fly on Blackstar and jump off him to reach it.

The shop also sells a few Tier I Abyss Gears and 3 Abyss Artifacts for only 29 Copper apiece. There’s a treasure chest on top of the blimp as well.

Pale Predator's Leather Gloves

Gloves made from the leather of the legendary white crocodile. White, hardened scales wrap the back of the hand to protect against cuts and impacts, and they keep their shape even when soaked.

The Pale Predator’s Leather Gloves don’t have a special unique effect, but they are the only gloves Kliff can wear that come pre-upgraded to Tier 6, saving you 2 Abyss Artifacts if you don’t mind Kliff evoking Cruella de Vil.

You receive the Pale Predator’s Leather Gloves for defeating the legendary White-Scaled Crocodile near the Sanctum of Renunciation along the Red River in the jungle that separates Delesyia from the Crimson Desert.

Frostward I

Crimson Chaser's Chain Gloves

Chain gloves once worn by a former Greymane, Regina, the Crimson Warden. Metal plates are layered over thick leather gloves to absorb impact while allowing for fluid movement. Daggers can be equipped inside the plates, allowing them to be withdrawn and wielded instantly when needed.

The Crimson Chaser Chain Gloves don’t have any special properties whatsoever and are balanced like Plate gloves, but they are clearly inspired by The Hidden Blades from Assassin’s Creed.

Their visual appearance is so distinct from all other gloves in Crimson Desert that we felt they deserved an honorable mention on this list.

You can loot the Crimson Chaser Chain Gloves from a treasure chest on the second floor of a tower on farmland near Sunset Dyehouse north of the Demenissian capital.

Endonae is a passionate gamer who's particularly fond of challenging action RPGs and open world games with visceral combat. The closer it is to being a Soulslike, the better. Ranged casters, particularly of the energy or elemental variety, are his bread and butter. Lightsabers are pretty cool, too.
