You can track your progress with the Sword of Trials Challenges in-game by navigating to Journal → Challenges → Mastery → (Goyen’s Advice) Sword.
Sword of Trials I
You can unlock Sword of Trials I by picking up the Sealed Abyss Artifact next to the bridge across Three Saints’ Falls in central Hernand.
Challenge
Defeat 3 enemies within 30 seconds with a one-handed sword
Sword of Trials II
You can unlock Sword of Trials II by picking up the Sealed Abyss Artifact from an altar on the side of the road in the Steel Mountains, south of the Spire of Insight in southeastern Hernand.

Defeat 3 enemies at once with a one-handed sword
Sword of Trials III
You can unlock Sword of Trials III by picking up the Sealed Abyss Artifact at the fork in the road near the black market Goldleaf Trading Post and Equinsher Saddlery north of Howling Hills in central Hernand.

Defeat 3 enemies with a one-handed sword without taking damage
Sword of Trials IV
You can unlock Sword of Trials IV by picking up the Sealed Abyss Artifact on the road to Kilnden Workshop in west central Hernand.
You’ll also receive the Vildyne Leather Armor for completing this Challenge.

Defeat 3 enemies at once with a one-handed sword using Turning Slash
Sword of Trials V
You can unlock Sword of Trials V by picking up the Sealed Abyss Artifact on the road through Anvil Hill on the border between Hernand and Demeniss.
You also receive a Rend I Abyss Gear for completing this Challenge.
Challenge
Defeat 3 enemies in a row with a one-handed sword only using Stab
Sword of Trials VI
You can unlock Sword of Trials VI by picking up the Sealed Abyss Artifact on the path to Jijeong Temple in the Serpent Marsh between Demeniss and Delesyia.
You also receive a Faded Abyss Artifact, a Destruction II Abyss Gear, and the Knight of Carnage Plate Gloves for completing this challenge.

Defeat 5 enemies within 15 seconds with a one-handed sword using Forward Slash
