How to get Unlimited Faded Abyss Artifacts in Crimson Desert

Faded Abyss Artifacts are Crimson Desert’s respec consumable items, and we’ll show you how to get an unlimited supply.

What are Faded Abyss Artifacts?

Faded Abyss Artifacts are consumable items that allow you to respec by resetting all of the regular Abyss Artifacts you spent in the Skill Tree. They do not reset Skills obtained through Observation.

You will find them most often as rewards for completing Sealed Artifact Challenges, but you can occasionally find them in chests or as quest rewards. Below are a couple of early examples:

“Mystical Key” Chest

You can loot a Faded Abyss Artifact from a chest in the locked room requiring the Mystical Key in Hernand Castle during the quest Chapter I: Mystical Key.

Chapter II Outset

You receive a Faded Abyss Artifact at the outset of Chapter II: Golden Greed upon returning to the city.

Unlimited Sources

While Faded Abyss Artifacts are finite at the beginning of the game, you can gain access to practically unlimited sources of them in the early game.

Elowen, the Red Witch

There’s a witch in The Witchwoods that sells 3 Faded Abyss Artifacts for Σ2.85 each, and they restock periodically. I doubt you’ll need more than 3 by the time she restocks, especially if you’re getting them from other sources as you play.

Scholastone Research Institute Recipe

After completing Chapter IV: The Price of Knowledge, you gain access to the Scholastone Research Institute, and one of the research projects you can fund will give you the recipe for crafting Faded Abyss Artifacts.

You won’t be able to craft them yourself, but you’ll unlock the option to have a Witch make them for you. Select the option Craft Abyss Gear. It’s under the Special Items tab and costs 1 Abyss Cell and 2 Mercury.

Why would you need many Faded Artifacts?

It’s highly likely that you will learn the vast majority of skills for Kliff long before you even complete the main story. Frequent usage of Faded Artifacts to respec would actually be more useful when you decide to start playing the other two playable characters in Crimson Desert – Oongka and Damiane.

While the Stamina and Health upgrades are shared between all three characters, Skill Unlocks are not. You will need to spend Abyss Artifacts on each one of them. If you don’t yet have enough of them, you can utilize Faded Artifacts to free up points form Kliff and transfer them over to Oongka or Damiane and enjoy something fresh and different.
