All New Skills for Kliff in Crimson Desert 2.0

Vulkk by Vulkk|

Kliff can learn 8 new skills in Crimson Desert’s 2.0 Enhanced Edition update. We will show what each new skill does and if it’s worth upgrading to it right away.

How to unlock and learn the new skills?

You can unlock Kliff’s 8 new skills as you progress through Crimson Desert’s main story. You will still have to pay with Abyss Artifacts to learn them.

The 8 new skills are upgrades to existing skills, not brand-new ones added to the Skill Trees. They either enhance existing or add new functionality. Below, we have a detailed breakdown of each new skill.

6 of the new skills are in the Spirit Skill Tree, and we have one in each of the Health and Stamina trees.

When you first load the game after updating to patch 2.00.00 and open the Skills menu, an animation will play out highlighting for you the new skills.

Force Palm Lv 4: Flowing Force Palm (Spirit)

Effect: Increases damage of the 1st and 2nd hits of Force Palm and delivers an extra attack.
Cost: 1x Abyss Artifact

Flowing Force Palm is a passive increase of the Force Palm ability in combat. Force Palm is a good AoE attack and with the newest upgrade, it gets a little boost. It gives the first and second attacks of the chain extra boost and an energy blast (Hadoken) effect.

Force Palm Lv 5: Ascending Force Palm (Spirit)

Effect: Increases jump height and enhances of Aerial Force Palm.
Cost: 1x Abyss Artifact

Ascending Force Palm provides a small increase in the vertical height that you gain when using Aerial Force Palm. You can combine this with the Kuku Breeze-Step Boots and the height gained from the combo is even more impressive.

Keen Senses Lv 4: Enraged Parry (Spirit)

Effect: Press the Parry button while performing other actions to parry an attack
Cost: 2x Abyss Artifact

Enraged Parry allows you to block an incoming attack while performing other actions such as a combo of attacks without interrupting your combo.

Double Jump Lv 2: Water Slide (Spirit)

Effect: Hold the Spring key on the water to spring across its surface.
Cost: 1x Abyss Artifact

Water Slide is a great mobility tool. While you are sprinting through the water surface, you are spending Spirit, of course, but this is a very quick and easy way to move across or through water.

You can activate this from any position, including falling into water, after using Aerial Force Palm while in the water and pretty much any other situation. As long as you are above water, pres the dedicated keybind (Shift on keyboard) and Kliff will start hopping as soon as his feet touch the water surface.

You can let go of that key after you start the movement. As soon as you stop moving, the ability will end and you will drop into the water.

You can still use the Vaporwalker Boots if you like its effect and flashiness. It offers a different animation and experience, but somewhat more limited compared to the new Water Slide skill.

You have to wear the boots to be able to use the attached skill. Until this skill is mirrored onto Oongka and Damiane, you can have one of them wear the boots.

Diving Force Palm Lv 2: Descending Force Palm (Spirit)

Effect: Hold Q during Aerial Force Palm to use Diving Force Palm after Aerial Force Palm.
Cost: 1x Abyss Artifact

You need to use Aerial Force Palm once after you jump, then you hold the keybind to enter into Descending Force Palm. Note that you may take damage from the fall.

Focus Lv 4: Serenity (Spirit)

Effect: Increases the amount of Spirit restored while maintaining Focus
Cost: 1x Abyss Artifact

Serenity is a passive upgrade to the Spirit regeneration speed. It’s not too strong, nor too weak, and well worth upgrading to.

Flight Lv 3: Enhance Flight (Health)

Effect: Press RMB or appropriate controller keyding during Flight to dive.
Cost: 1x Abyss Artifact

Enhance Flight is a great quality-of-life improvement allowing you to land a lot faster by diving vertically while holding the dedicated keybind. Landing faster is just half the benefit. When using this skill, you do not take fall damage.

Armed Combat Lv 6: Finishing Rush (Spirit)

Effect: Use Light Attack after attacking to go to the next enemy and continue attacking.
Cost: 1x Abyss Artifact

In Crimson Desert, the Light (Basic) attack is kind of weak (more like underutilized), especially in the endgame where you have a number of special perks and unique attacks added to your Heavy Attack button.

Finishing Rush allows you to chain enemies without interrupting your combo of Light Attacks. It allows you to go into “Extreme Lazy Mode” (my own invention) and clear groups of enemies by just holding the Light Attack button.

In case you take this seriously, I actually advise you against it. You have so many attacks and skills at your disposal, don’t get stuck using just the most basic one.
