Where to find the Sealed Abyss Artifacts that unlock all 11 of the Hunting challenges in Crimson Desert and tips on how to complete each one.

Feather of the Earth
You unlock Feather of the Earth after picking up the Sealed Abyss Artifact along the road to Cairn House, northeast of Three Saints’ Falls in north central Hernand.
Challenge
Carry 5 birds
Tips
Just pick up chickens in town or Kuku Birds on Rocca’s Hill.
Wild Showdown
You unlock Wild Showdown after picking up the Sealed Abyss Artifact along the main road that goes around the edge of Gorthak in western Delesyia.
Challenge
Defeat 3 wolves unarmed
Tips
Unequip your two-handed weapon and switch to that slot in the radial menu to use unarmed attacks. You can find a huge pack of wolves near Frost Hill Hearth in the mountains east of the Wayward Woods in Pailune.
Hunter’s Discipline
You unlock Hunter’s Discipline after picking up the Sealed Abyss Artifact along the road between Tommaso and the Great Gate of Urdavah in the Tashkalp region of the Crimson Desert.
You also receive the Unyielding Hero’s Plate Cloak for completing this challenge.
Challenge
Defeat 3 hyenas without moving more than 20 meters
Tips
Just stand still and use your ranged weapon to take down the hyenas. They’re pretty rare once you defeat Skevald, the Carrion King, at the Hyena’s Den east of Tommaso in the Tashkalp region of the Crimson Desert.
Mystical Ecosystem
You unlock Mystical Ecosystem after picking up the Sealed Abyss Artifact along the road leading into Pailune City from the south near the Pailune Floodgate.
Challenge
Capture 3 Choppies
Tips
Choppies are the two-legged white rabbit creatures that look like baby Ridley from Metroid: Other M, but they run away rather than devour their prey. They’re pretty rare and often don’t return after fleeing.
You can find Choppies inside Everfrost Cave on the western edge of the map in Hernand, northwest of Scholastone Institute.
A Will Harder than Rock
You unlock A Will Harder than Rock after picking up the Sealed Abyss Artifact along the road connecting Burnhand Quarry with the Kingshield Dig Site in the Kingshield Mountains of northwestern Demeniss.
Challenge
Defeat 10 stoneback crabs
Tips
Stoneback Crabs are most reliably found hiding at Bismuth deposits, but they don’t always respawn. There are a lot of them inside Drakesfall Castle in Hernand.
Small Predator
You unlock Small Predator after picking up the Sealed Abyss Artifact along the main road leading to the City of Demeniss from the west.
Challenge
Catch and carry 5 animals from the weasel family
Tips
Members of the weasel family include:
- Weasels
- Badgers
- Raccoons
You can’t pick up the exact same animal more than once, but you can pick up the same type of animal.
Apex of the Food Chain
You unlock Apex of the Food Chain after picking up the Sealed Abyss Artifact along the road east of the Cloister of Enlightenment in the Sovereign Wastes of the Crimson Desert.
Challenge
Take down 3 herbivorous animals
Take down 3 predator animals
Take down 3 omnivorous animals
Tips
You probably know this from elementary school, but just in case:
- Herbivorous animals only eat plants, so like deer and bison
- Predator animals only eat meat, so like crocodiles and wolves
- Omnivorous animals eat plants and meat, so like pigs and chickens
Song of the Moon-Swallowing Sword
You unlock Song of the Moon-Swallowing Sword after picking up the Sealed Abyss Artifact along the road south of Arcosa, across the river from Drywind Valley and the Gearmelt Confectionery on the border between Delesyia and the Crimson Desert.
Challenge
Cling to a wolf and stab it 6 times in a row
Tips
You’ll need Grappling Lv 4 to hang onto enemies and either upgrade your Stamina or have some Stamina recovery foods at the ready. Use a Dagger that hasn’t been upgraded to ensure that the wolf survives 6 stabs.
Pine Broom
You unlock Pine Broom after picking up the Sealed Abyss Artifact along the road by Thornbriar Guard Post north of the Steel Mountains in the southwestern corner of Demeniss.
Challenge
Take down a bear using only a broom
Tips
You can use a Sturdy Broom from a Provisioner’s Shop. Create 3 sockets in it, and embed a Greater Beastbane along with a couple of Greater Destructions to make this challenge into a piece of cake. A single Greater “-bane” Abyss Gear is enough to hit the cap on the buff, so there’s no need to use more than one.
Equip a Plate Helm with Daze Immunity as well so you don’t have to worry about trying to dodge the roar attack. Don’t forget about Elixirs, either.
The End of Myth
You unlock The End of Myth after picking up the Sealed Abyss Artifact along the road between Urdavah and Varnia, past the Saltroad Camp.

Tips
These albino beasts are just like their normal beast counterparts except they have more health. There’s only one of each in the world and they don’t respawn.
Silver Fang Location
You can find Silver Fang at Howling Hollow, a little alcove on the road between The Ancient Rift and The Sage’s Peak in southern Pailune.
White Bear Location
You can find the White Bear and her soon-to-be orphan cubs south of The General’s Tomb in the Five-Finger Mountains in the northwest corner of Pailune.
White-Scaled Crocodile Location
You can find the White-Scaled Crocodile along the river north of the Sanctum of Renunciation and southeast of Arcosa in the jungle between Deleysia and the Crimson Desert.
White Bison Location
You can find the White Bison between the two lakes east of the Great Gate of Urdavah in the Crimson Desert.
When Animals Die
You unlock When Animals Die after picking up the Sealed Abyss Artifact on the road to the Duskway Camp Ironcrawler Station northeast of Bordig Ruins in the jungle separating Delesyia from the Crimson Desert.
