Pearl Abyss added 8 new pieces of equipment to Crimson Desert with Update 1.12, most of which only Kliff can wear. We’ll show you what they look like, their stats, and how to get them all.

Greymane Light Armor

Leather armor crafted for Greymane comrades. Made with lightweight leather to maximize mobility, it is perfectly suited for dispatch missions. It is only rewarded to those who have proven their contribution to the Greymanes.

Greymane Light Armor is wearable exclusively by Kliff, features standard Abyss Gear sockets. Its Defense stat is in line with that of medium Leather armor, but it lacks the Lightning Resistance Lv 1 that would go along with that and the material naming scheme.

You can purchase it from Carl the Camp Provisioner at the Greymane Camp. The armor costs 7 Greymane Contribution Tokens. You earn tokens by completing quests and activities in the respective region.

I personally prefer the Grey Wolf armor. But this one looks cool too. A bit more casual. The armor is not dyeable, unfortunately.

Honorary Greymane Cloth Gloves

Cloth gloves crafted for Greymane comrades. Layered with thick hide and cloth to keep your hands protected, the patterned wristband ensures a firm grip on your hilt. Only those who have earned the respect of the Greymanes are worthy of wearing them.

These brown cloth gloves offer up to 26 Attack, 12 Defense and Attack Speed Lv 4 when maxed out. They also have the standard 2 Abyss Gear locked slots. This item is dyeable. The Attack Speed Lv 4 makes these a serious contender for BiS Gloves for Damiane.

You can purchase the Honorary Greymane Cloth Gloves for Damiane from Carl at the Greymane Camp. The item costs 7 Greymane Contribution Tokens.

Greymane Signet

Attack: 2 → 11

Critical Rate Lv 1

Stamina Regen Rate: +0 → 2%

Greymane Signet

A ring-shaped seal symbolizing the Greymanes. Possession is granted exclusively to those of high standing or those who have made significant contributions. Custom dictates that respect be shown to anyone bearing this signet.

The ring maxes out at 11 Attack and Critical Rate Lv 1. It also boosts Stamina Regen by +2%. Like other Signets, it’s tailored for players who don’t care about min-maxing their Attack Speed and just want to dump everything into regular old Attack power.

You can purchase the Greymane Signed from Carl at the Greymane Camp. It is by far the most expensive item, priced at 65 Greymane Contribution Tokens but can be equipped by Kliff, Damiane, and Oongka.

Silent Conqueror Plate Helm

Silent Conqueror Plate Helm

A helm worn by elite warriors. Throughout Pywelts history, stained by endless war, blacksmiths have devoted their lives to forging equipment to ensure the survival of its warriors. While this helm may appear simple at first glance, it was meticulously crafted to provide the wearer with a wide field of vision and unrestricted breathing.

Despite its name, the Silent Conqueror Plate Helm possesses the Defense of a leather helm but lacks the Lightning Resistance Lv 1 that comes in exchange for the lower Defense and lacks the Daze Immunity it should have if it were balanced as a plate helm. This helm is the only dyeable one out of the new batch of headgear.

You can purchase the Silent Conqueror Plate Helm for Kliff from the Equipment Shop in Varnia.

Sentinel of Tenacity Helm

Defence Icon

Defense: 2 → 21

Sentinel of Tenacity Hel

Helm for those who press forward without yielding to hardship. It symbolizes tenacity, one of the virtues the knights of Pywel must take to heart. A knight must engage in combat with a strong will and perseverance. The plate metal that seamlessly covers the entire face adds to its weighty feel.

The Sentinel of Tenacity Helm offers the Defense of a plate helm but lacks the Daze Immunity (and dyeability) that come with it.

You can purchase the Sentinel of Tenacity Helm for Kliff from the Stronghelm Forge in east Demeniss. You may need to progress through the game’s main story to unlock this location.

Feral Sentinel Helm

Defence Icon

Defense: 5 → 18

Feral Sentinel Helm

A helm for those who press forward, unyielding to hardship. It symbolizes ferocity, a core virtue the knights of Pywel must take to heart. A knight must never fear change and should always pursue higher ideals. The solid plate seamlessly covers all of the face, adding a heavy, imposing weight.

The Feral Sentinel Helm is balanced as leather armor despite bearing the appearance of plate but lacks the characteristic Lightning Resistance Lv 1 that is meant to compensate for the lower Defense value and lack of Daze Immunity compared to plate.

You can purchase the Feral Sentinel Helm for Kliff from the Equipment Shop at Stronghelm Forge in east Demeniss.

Sentinel of Trust Helm

Defense: 7 → 17

Sentinel of Trust Helm

A helm for those who press forward, unyielding to hardship. It symbolizes trust, a core virtue the knights of Pywel must take to heart. A knight must stand united with their comrades in unwavering faith. The solid plate seamlessly covers all of the face, adding a heavy, imposing weight.

The Sentinel of Trust Helm offers 17 Defense when fully upgraded, matching that of a leather helm despite clearly being plate armor. Like the others, it lacks Lightning Resistance Lv 1 to match its stats or higher Defense and Daze immunity to match its appearance. It is not dyeable either.

You can purchase the Sentinel of Trust Helm for Kliff from the Equipment Shop at Stronghelm Forge in east Demeniss.

Steelmaw Plate Helm

Defence Icon

Defense: 7 → 17

Steelmaw Plate Helm

A helm that exudes intimidation to any foe who stands against you. Crafted by layering thin metal plates, it reduces weight while effectively dispersing impacts. The grotesque faceplate, reminiscent of a starving animalts fangs, is particularly striking.

The Steelmaw Plate Helm is another non-dyeable faux leather helm that offers low Defense and no secondary effect to compensate.

You can purchase the Steelmaw Plate Helm for Kliff from the Equipment Shop in Thalwynd in Calphade.

Are any of the new items Best-in-slot?

We get the strong impression that these items were added to the game in an unfinished state. Clearly, the appearances are new, but the poor stats, inaccurate names, and lack of dyeability are inconsistent with the system used for the rest of the game.

The biggest stand-out are the Honorary Greymane’s Cloth Gloves for Damiaine, which offer more Attack Speed than any Gloves that even Kliff can get his hands on.

That said, Crimson Desert is not a particularly difficult game and if you like the appearance of any item, you can use it without worrying too much about its stats.

We track, explore and cover every Crimson Desert update since the game’s launch. Find out what else was introduced in Patch 1.12.
