Crimson Desert’s patch 1.12 allows you to decorate the area around your house and introduces over 50 new decorations. The patch also adds several new gear pieces.
Update 1.12 Highlights
Plenty of stuff to occupy a veteran player’s mind, who is running out of things to do, farm, or purchase, have been added to Crimson Desert. Most notably, new armor and several new helmets.
New Equipment
With nearly 100 Armor Sets available in Crimson Desert, the devs continue to introduce new gear pieces. Update 1.12 adds the following items:
- Greymane Light Armor (Kliff) – purchase from Carl at the Greymane Camp.
- Honorary Greymane Cloth Gloves (Damiane) – purchase from Carl
- Silent Conqueror Plate Helm (Kliff) – Varnia Equipment Shop
- Sentinel of Tenacity Helm (Kliff) – purchase from Stronghelm Forge (Demeniss)
- Feral Sentinel Helm (Kliff) – purchase from Stronghelm Forge (Demeniss)
- Sentinel of Trust Helm (Kliff) – purchase from Stronghelm Forge (Demeniss)
- Steelmaw Plate Helm (Kliff) – purchase from Calphade Equipment Shop
- Greymane Signet (All) – purchase from Carl

Some of the pieces require you to max out Trust with the NPC first. All trolls like Hides, so give them some.
New Decorations
The devs added 58 (no, it’s not a typo) new decorations in several categories. They also updated the area around your house in the Greymane Camp to accept custom decorations.
You can now put some stuff outside of your home for everyone to admire! The decoration mode prompt now appears in the right edge of your screen as soon as you enter the inner yard around the house.

The new decorations include:
- Facilities: 4 tools, 10 Sotdaes, 7 fountains, 6 wells
- Lights: 8 braziers, 6 streetlights
- Decorations / Pet Furniture: 4 carpets, 6 hanging planters, 4 automata toys, 1 music box, 2 pet furniture items.
You can craft all of these items at one of the two new tools that you can now use: a Workstation and a Loom. You can find them at the camp as well as in other locations.
The Workstation at the Greymane Camp is located near Conrad, the Furniture Maker.

For some reason, there is no Loom at the Greymane Camp. You can find Looms at Tailor Shops and the easiest one to visit is the Tailor in Hernand, located next to the Equipment Shop. The Loom is on the second floor of the building.

You can also purchase the new decoration items from shops, or win them from the claw machine, the Flower Basket Mission (image below), the box of fortune, and from the Orb Roll Challenge.

You can purchase the Box of Fortune for 100 Silver from the Mysterious Shop. You are allowed to purchase up to three boxes each time the vendor restocks. You can find blueprints of the new decorations inside.


Further improvements to Damiane and Oongka
The two playable characters can now equip the Visione and read memories. They have also learned how to survive on the back of the mighty dragon Blackstar (after you unlock it through the Main Story, of course).

- [Mac] Fixed an issue where placeable items could not be placed in the house using a keyboard and mouse.
Combat / Action
- When retrying a boss battle after dying or for similar reasons, settings changed during the previous attempt are now maintained. The maintained settings are as follows:

- Improved the “Aerial Force Palm” so it can be used in safe zones.

- Improved the skill executed when using “Quick Swap” with a spear.
- [Damiane] Added a unique sit animation.

- Added a new attack pattern for the Queen Bismuth Oreback Crab.

UI
- Fixed an issue where enemy icons would sometimes not display on the Minimap.
- Improved the Collectibles Chest so that owned and unowned items are differentiated by the shade of each slot, allowing players to easily check whether they own each item.

- Improved the Settings menu so that you can now move directly to the top or the bottom of the menu.
- Improved the game so that a prompt for setting the minimum font size is displayed when launching the game for the first time.

- Fixed an issue where the size of items in the Dyehouse preview menu differed from their actual size.

- Fixed an issue where rotating the camera in certain locations would cause frame drops.

- Fixed an issue where progression was blocked when entering St. Halssius’s House of Healing with 4 pieces of the St. Halssius Priest Outfit equipped and a St. Halssius Visitor Pass in the inventory.
- Improved the game to play related sound effects when a crime is committed with no witnesses present.
- Fixed an issue where NPCs would fail to follow the player during certain quests that require them to do so.
- Fixed an issue where certain furniture had excessive visual effects.
- Fixed an issue where the wagon crafting mission could be carried out multiple times.
- Fixed an issue where reading locations for certain memories were unnatural.
