Crimson Desert 1.13 Patch Notes: New Armors, Better Oongka and Damiane Game Integration

Pearl Abyss released patch 1.13.00 for Crimson Desert on July 3rd, 2026, and it features a host of bug fixes alongside new armors and better game integration for Oongka and Damiane.

Update 1.13 Highlights

The biggest highlights from this update are a whole bunch of new armor pieces for each character and improved game integration for Oongka and Damiane.

New Armors for Everyone

There are a whole bunch of new or previously unobtainable armors for all 3 characters and Oongka can now equip most outfits previously only wearable by Kliff.

At the time of publishing, this is just the list of items that the game gave me when I loaded my 100% completion save file. Notably, we now have access to the armors worn by Cassius Morten, Lucian Bastier, Tarandus the Ashen, and Gregor, the Halberd of Carnage.

This new equipment can come from quests, challenges, shops, and “other sources”, presumably they just dumped a bunch more stuff for us to find. This may mean there’s small bits of new content like additional hidden chests, particularly in the Crimson Desert.

Improved Game Integration for Damiane and Oongka

Pearl Abyss is continuing to make more aspects of the game playable by Damiane and Oongka and reduce friction when Kliff is required for a specific quest. To that end, 1.13 comes with the following changes:

  • Oongka and Damiane can now enter the Abyss and solve puzzles there
  • Fixed a bunch of bugs related to Damiane and Oongka in combat
  • Improved the character switch UI when you encounter quests that require Kliff
  • Oongka can now equip most outfits available to Kliff, and the precursor chestpieces required to make the Kuku Element-Resistant Armors are now craftable:

Given that they haven’t finished adapting these entire sets for Damiane yet, we expect that the Icewing and Crimson Chaser sets will be adapted for Damiane in a future update as well since their associated bosses are also women.

Honorable Mentions

There are several other nifty changes included with 1.13 that don’t fit neatly into a category or weren’t included in the notes at all:

  • Added a “Hide Minimap and Status” option under Settings > Others > Gameplay, allowing the player to hide the minimap and status HUD UI.
  • Added a new item, “Hunter’s Sigil,” which allows a bird pet to retrieve prey and gatherable items suited to their specialties when equipped.
  • Most map icons have been improved
  • Bosses can now return and re-blockade their zone
  • Changed certain disguise outfits that could not be dyed so that they can now be dyed.
  • Improved most weapons and secondary weapons so that they can now be dyed.
  • Improved the Iron Eagle and Phoenix so that they can equip the Sigil of Valor.

Yeah, the Sigil of Valor being usable by the Iron Eagle and Phoenix is legit now, folks. For those out of the loop, they said it was working in the last 3 updates and then had to retract that.

  • Fixed an issue where using Focused Aerial Roll near NPCs would be considered a crime.
  • Improved an issue where the character would briefly freeze when performing a jump attack from a high place.
  • Fixed an issue where sliding attacks could not be used with certain equipment combinations.
  • Fixed an issue where using certain skills while a tool was equipped would switch to the main weapon.

  • Changed so that only the currently tracked quest is displayed on the minimap border.
  • Fixed an issue where the Recoverable item alert related to Wyvern eggs was not displayed.
  • Fixed an issue where Trust notifications were not displayed properly in the notification history.
  • [Mouse/Keyboard] Fixed an issue where, when selecting furniture, the tooltip in the upper-right corner displayed furniture other than the selected one.

Graphics / Settings

  • [PS5] Fixed an issue where certain cutscenes would occasionally stutter.
  • Fixed an issue where game loading time would occasionally take longer than usual.
  • Fixed an issue where a crash would occasionally occur when opening the map.
  • Fixed an issue where a crash would occasionally occur during boss rematches.
  • Changed so that a failure message is displayed when applying engine options fails.

Localization

  • Fixed various localization errors and improved localization quality across all languages.

Others

  • Fixed an issue where the pinball launcher pin would not move upward.
  • Fixed an issue where, when relocating a well in housing mode, the position would become misaligned.
  • Changed the knowledge descriptions for salmon and burbot.
  • Fixed an issue where some effects appeared awkward on ships.
  • Fixed an issue where some quests would not be marked as completed in certain situations.
  • Changed some Re-Blockade quests so that they are displayed as Engaged rather than Invaded.
  • Fixed an issue where monsters would not appear in the Sovereign Wastes region in certain situations.
  • Improved the guide text related to the drilling equipment in the “Abandoned Drilling Rig” quest.

  • Fixed an issue where the descriptions for Abyss Gear crafting recipes and Knowledge entries appeared awkward.
  • Fixed an issue where the Box of Fortune was displayed as a pouch.
  • Fixed an issue where map Knowledge from the Constellation Research Journal could only be obtained from the left page.
  • Fixed an issue where the interaction button for fish traps placed by NPCs displayed “Take” button instead of “Pickpocketing.”
  • Fixed an issue where the character would occasionally respawn at an abnormal location.
  • Updated the description of the Meadow Bunting.

Known Issues

At the time of publishing, the following were listed as known issues on the official Crimson Desert site.

  • When a pet jumps onto the bed while the player is interacting with it, the character cannot be controlled.
    • This issue can be temporarily resolved by unsummoning your pet.
  • [AMD] The game crashes when using driver version 26.6.2 or higher(including the 26.6.3 hotfix).
    • AMD is currently looking into this issue, and we recommend using driver version 26.6.1 or earlier until it is resolved
  • Fish being caught while fishing in certain areas are unable to move.
  • Greymane faction quests cannot be progressed while playing as Damiane or Oongka.
  • If the “Evasion Control” option is set to “Hold,” the default Evasion key still functions even after the Evasion key has been changed.
  • If Damiane dies immediately after using the Shield Toss skill, she can no longer use her shield or related skills.
    • If this issue occurs, you can resolve it by saving and reloading.
  • NPCs required for quest progression cannot ride together on Legendary Animal mounts.
  • [Mac] When using a keyboard and mouse at certain resolutions, the cursor position differs from the actual furniture placement point.
  • [Mac] The colorblind filter is not applied to the UI when “Colorblind Mode” is enabled.
  • [PlayStation] The screen may freeze if characters are entered rapidly while using the virtual keyboard to set the name of a pet or horse.
    • Please enter characters slowly with brief pauses when changing names. We apologize for the inconvenience.
  • On NVIDIA GTX 1060 GPUs, enabling ‘FSR Upscaling’ and ‘Frame Generation’ causes the screen to appear white.
  • When using FSR4 upscaling, an issue occurs in rainy environments where rain disappears, or the screen becomes blurry or distorted.
