Crimson Desert’s first patch, 2.01.00, after releasing the Enhanced Edition, is primarily focusing on fixing bugs with a few key improvements such as reduced visual noise during rain.
Update 2.01 Highlights
A day after revealing the name of the DLC, Charting the Unknown, Pearl Abyss released a new patch for Crimson Desert. Its size (on Steam) is ~3.7GB and it contains a handful of gameplay quality of life improvements and a squashes a ton of bugs.
Photo Mode Camera Tilt
Crimson Desert’s Photo Mode is not the best or most flexible implementation we have seen in a video game. It’s a shame, really. With all of those beautiful vistas and flashy combat encounters, we could really use more robust and improved Photo Mode.
Patch 2.01.00 adds a small improvement to Photo Mode. You can now tilt the camera. Small, but useful in certain situations to create for a more interesting capture.

Less Visual Noise during Rain
Depending on your GPU’s power and your graphics preset, you may have noticed how badly things pixelate during rain. Especially if it’s pouring.
In my limited testing (so far), it does show improvements, mostly noticeable during night time and in forested areas.
10x Camp Donations
Prior to 2.01.00, the game had a 1:1 conversion of your money when you donate your fortune to the camp and it becomes Camp Funds. This patch changes the ratio so that Camp Funds gained from donating Silver are now increased by 10x

As of Update 1.18.00, Research uses Camp Funds, not Silver. The change with today’s update will allow you to pay for new researches even easier.
New Gold Bar Investment Missions
In the Funds tab of the Camp Management, you will see six new missions allowing you to spend Camp Resources to earn Gold Bars. The missions are categorized into Conservative, Active, and Aggressive, similar to the Investment Strategies at the Bank.
You will need an NPC with the “Accountant” skill for these missions. Each mission requires 3 members, and the prices vary between 1.9 to 3.1 mill Camp Funds per mission and each takes 3 days to complete.

| Location | Region | Strategy | Cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hernand Castle | Hernand | Conservative | – 3 Members – 1.9 mill |
| Calphade Castle | Hernand | Active | – 3 Members – 2.4 mill |
| Delesyia Castle | Delesyia | Active | – 3 Members – 2.9 mill |
| Tommaso | Crimson Desert | Aggressive | – 3 Members – 3.1 mill |
| Pailune City | Pailune | Aggressive | – 3 Members – 2.6 mill |
| Demeniss Castle | Demeniss | Conservative | – 3 Members – 2.4 mill |
Even after the change to the conversion ration of Silver to Camp Funds, this is expensive and is not an ideal way for you to spend your Camp Funds while you are progressing through the game.
Our recommendation is to wait for when you are near the end or after you complete the main story, you will have extra funds to invest in these missions. There are other, easier and more profitable methods to obtain Gold Bars.
