Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced receives gets some good quality of life adjustments with Update 1.0.6. It includes bug fixes, increased auto saves, and the addition of a Blow Pipe toggle on outfits.

Update Size and Availability

Update 1.0.6 for Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced was released on August 4th, 2026. The patch sizes for the various platforms are as follows:

  • Xbox Series X|S: 15.2 GB
  • PlayStation®5: 5.03 GB
  • PC: 3.7 GB
  • Steam: 1.8 GB

Blow Pipe Toggle

You can now turn off the Blow Pipe visually on selected outfits in the Inventory Menu. On the right side of the menu is a new input that states “Hide Gear” or “Show Gear”.

Hover over the Outfit you’re using and the option will appear. For PC it’ll be Tab, Xbox it’s RT, and for PlayStation it’s R2. This toggle affects all outfits and not select individual outfits.

Up until now, some players have just been Harpooning to remove the Blow Pipe from an outfit temporarily. It would appear once the Blow Pipe was used again, so it wasn’t the best solution. Fortunately, you can save yourself some time and trouble for this new cosmetic feature.

Throw Money Tutorial

The ability to Throw Money is one that is often overlooked as it was never brought up during the game until now. If you happen to create a ruckus out in the world, the prompt will appear that suggests to throw money to create a distraction.

This will consume 10 Reales on the ground to which people nearby will start picking it up. This distraction will not work on elite enemies such as Guard Captains.

This ability is more for flavor than anything. While it can distract civilians, they’re still likely to just run away if you’re in an active combat situation instead of blocking the way of soldiers. Instead, use it to calm down people if you’re bumping into them to prevent hostilities.

This ability is more useful for luring enemies towards a spot you’re hiding in so you can assassinate them. It’s more subtle than the Rope Dart as enemies in the distance are less likely to notice you.

More Autosaves

You’ll now have access to 10 Autosaves instead of 5. If you’re looking to choose very specific points you’ve been to recently, this is a great way to do that.
