This guide will show you how to unlock and complete all 49 achievements in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced.

If you’re looking to be the ultimate pirate, then you must prove you’re worth your salt by completing all of the game’s achievements. This guide will give you summaries and tips on what these achievements are and the best ways to complete them.

Some of the achievements are explained in individual guides that will help you unlock them while completing all of the required objectives and steps. Others are explained in the next segment below this list.

A Poxy Bird

Captain your own ship, complete Sequence 2, Memory 6. The specific main quest is called The Treasure Fleet.

All Hands On Deck

Recruit all Officers for the Jackdaw for this achievement. This includes Abel “Padre” Galvão, Lucy Baldwin, and Tobias “Deadman” Smith. Two of these officers can be recruited early on; Deadman will be available late game.

Among Thieves

Unlock a smuggler’s chest. Smuggler chests are found in caves full of enemies. The small twist is that you need the key to open it. The key is always carried by an enemy that’s in the area.

Articles of Agreement

If you ever encounter some pirates fighting some soldiers, help them. Use your pistols to quickly kill the soldiers to ensure the pirates survive to get this achievement. Walk around the border of Kingston and you’re likely to find one of these fights.

Backs To The Wall

Use your Kick ability on a target next to a wall. They’ll become vulnerable to a takedown.

Blow The Man Down

Find the three hanged men in Long Bay and use your pistol to shoot them down. Shooting all three of their ropes will unlock Blow The Man Down. Their coordinates are (505,233), (501,229), and (501,228).

Two of these bodies are very close to one another. They’re towards the end of the jungle path that leads to the beach village. There you’ll find a viewpoint with the third body.

Business and Pleasure

You need to spend 50,000 Reales to unlock this achievement. This will happen eventually as you progress through the game. However, if you are in a rush to make (and spend) money, there are always better ways to make money in Black Flag Resynced.

Cartographer

Visit every location in the game. This isn’t about Viewpoints but physical locations. Every map, shipwreck, plantation, and town in the game. Progressing through the main story and doing side quests will reveal most of the map.

Caught ‘Em All

Go into any city and cause some trouble to have soldiers chase you. Once you have melee soldiers chasing you, try to group them up. Some may try to stay away from you, use the Rope Dart to wrangle them in. Pop a Smoke Bomb and unlock Caught ‘Em All.

Collective Madness

Board and add a Schooner, Brig, Frigate, and Man O’ War to your Fleet. This will unlock the Collective Madness achievement and open up some opportunities for Reales and manor decorations from Fleet Missions.

Davy Jone’s Locker

Swim to the lowest point on the map. This place is located on the Black Trench shipwreck. Meaning that you need the Diving Bell that is unlocked after completing the main story quest, Diving for Medicines. Only then will you be capable of reaching the spot to reach Davy Jones’ Locker.

Devil of the Caribbean

This achievement is particularly difficult to complete. You’ll need to defeat all Legendary Ship encounters: El Impoluto, HMS Fearless & Royal Sovereign, HMS Prince, and La Dama Negra. Be sure to fully upgrade the Jackdaw before attempting these fights.

Dilettante

Fill all Art Collection and Equipment slots in the Great Inagua manor. These items are found in quests, sold by vendors, or obtained when defeating a new ship for the first time.

Double Tap

Find an Ocelot and parry two of its attacks quickly to unlock Double Tap. You can find an Ocelot on Abaco Island in western Eleuthera. A single Ocelot will do, you don’t need to take on two at the same time.

Dressing Overall

Equip new cosmetics in each of the Jackdaw’s vanity slots. You can buy the cheapest ones sold by the Harbourmaster or those available in the Animus Exchange.

Ed the Diver

Swim a total of 1,000 meters underwater, excluding underwater shipwrecks. This achievement is obtained naturally due to how much you need to swim while doing the main quests.

If you don’t want to wait, simply swim near the shore for some minutes. It will count as long as Edward is fully submerged.

Edward Catway

After completing the story quest Unmanned, you can return to Prins’ home in west Kingston (591,177) to find a lot of potted plants. If the plant is on the ground, a simple light attack with a sword will destroy it with its upswing.

If it’s elevated, try the pistol or rope dart. Rolling into potted plants will not count towards this achievement; you must use a weapon. Be sure to take out all the guards to ensure you’ll have a peaceful time destroying this horrible man’s property.

If you need more potted plants, go to the guarded courtyard in Kingston (618,173). You’ll also find a lot of potted plants in the marketplace just south of the courtyard.

Ever A Splinter

Stop a Templar plot, complete Sequence 12, Memory 5. This is the game’s Epilogue, the final scene before the credits roll.

Friend To All

Find and interact with all 8 Friendly Animals in the game for this achievement. Go out there and pet some dogs, cuddle some cats, and feed the turtles!

Glutton for Nourishment

Consume 20 food items. This refers to items found all over towns or camps; remedies don’t fall into this category.

Governor

The Governor achievement will require you to fully restore all of the buildings in the Great Inagua village. This is very doable once you reach the mid-game and have access to more money-making opportunities.

Grandmaster

Win at each of the different tavern games. There are three tavern games: Fanorona, Nine-Man Morris, and Checkers. You can beat them on the easiest difficulty, and it’ll still count.

Gun-kata

Upgrade your Pistol Holster to Tier IV and shoot down 4 enemies in a row. This is most easily done as you’re boarding a ship. Once you’ve done that, you’ll be a master of Gun-kata and unlock the achievement.

Help A Brother Out

If you’re looking to unlock the Templar Armor in Great Inagua, then you’re bound to get this achievement. You’ll unlock it after completing any one of the four Templar Hunt side quests.

Hungover

Wake up in a haystack. All you have to do is go to any tavern and drink 5 times in a row. Everything will look blurrier the more you drink. After the fifth drink, Edward will pass out and appear in a haystack.

Hunter Hunted

Defeat a Pirate Hunter while at maximum Wanted Level. I suggest upgrading the Jackdaw or at least recruiting the three officers. At maximum Wanted Level, you have to fight a Man O War and a Frigate simultaneously.

In A World Without Gold

Witness the end of a legend, complete Sequence 8, Memory 1. The specific quest is Do Not Go Gently…

King of the Castle

You’ll need to capture all 11 Forts for the King of the Castle achievement. The Forts found in hard waters are particularly difficult, so make sure the Jackdaw is well equipped.

Last To Leave

When you find a Burning Ship in the ocean, there’s a chance that it has a chair on it. Take a seat on the Burning Ship to unlock the Last to Leave Achievement.

Chairs on the Burning Ships are rare, so be sure to take advantage of the opportunity when you can.

Let Me Explain

After a perfect parry, perform a total of four takedowns. This can only be achieved with a weapon that allows this number of takedowns.

My suggestion is that you get Altaïr’s Swords or Naoe’s Shadowblade from the Animus Exchange since all you need to use are keys. The alternative for anyone who doesn’t have enough keys is purchasing Ferraro’s Rapiers from the Level 2 General Store.

Lively Havana

Get a tour of Havana, complete Sequence 2, Memory 1. The specific quest is Lively Havana.

Matador

To find some pigs to dodge, go south of the village in Great Inagua to find a couple of pigs around some abandoned shacks. Dodge these two hogs to unlock the Matador achievement.

Not So Little Friend

Unlock the secondary firing mode on a Jackdaw weapon. The Double Shot is the easiest one by far. It is obtained after conquering Fort Dry Tortuga.

Old Ironsides

Practice makes perfect, so land three Perfect Braces at any time during naval combat to unlock this achievement. If the Jackdaw’s health bar glows and you hear a sharp metal impact sound while bracing, then you’ve performed a perfect brace.

Overdesign IV

Kick a berserk enemy caught in smoke off a ship. First use a berserk dart with your Blowpipe on an enemy that’s close to the edge, then throw a smoke bomb.

Kick him against the ship and finish him with a takedown. You might need to try it a few times since many soldiers will stay on the ship.

Owned

Complete every activity in a single location. This task is easier in the smaller islands. Abaco Island is a great candidate since you get access to it very early in the game and it has few activities compared to most other places.

Perfect Predator

The best time to land a Perfect Shot on a Great White Shark is at the very start of a harpoon encounter. This will get harder throughout the rest of the harpooning session as the Great White is rather aggressive.

Return The Favor

Recruit Padre as an officer and provoke any Brig you encounter. All Brigs will try to ram into you. When they do, use your Ram Dash ability before they make contact to unlock this achievement.

Seven Deadly Seas

To unlock Seven Deadly Seas, you’ll need to visit all Shipwreck Locations and open all of their treasure chests. This includes the basic chests and the secret chest at each location.

Ship This

Fully upgrade the Jackdaw for this achievement. You’ll need to search the world for all of the Ship Ultimate Plans before you can reach this goal. This is the only way to unlock most of the final tier of upgrades.

Silence, Fool!

To quickly take care of this achievement, go to any Plantation. Look for an Alarm Bell and cause some trouble. A soldier looking to ring the bell will have a bell icon above their head. When they start ringing a bell, kill them to get this achievement.

Smooth Operator

You’ll get this achievement during the story quest This Tyro Captain. When you skin the two ocelots and acquire the Tier II Pistol Holster, you’ll unlock this achievement.

Strike The Colors

Board a Lead Convoy ship. A white ship icon indicates where a Convoy is located. You can find them either randomly or by purchasing information from the bartender. As you can see in the image below, they appear for a limited time.

The Hangman

Kill 10 enemies by hanging them with the rope dart. Populated places like Nassau, Havana, or Kingston have better infrastructure for this.

However, it is risky because there are many guards and you can be overwhelmed quite fast. Plantations or locations with Mayan Ruins have the right environment for this while also having fewer guards.

The Memory of My Enemy

Display all character portraits in the Great Inagua manor. There is a total of 11 Character Portraits in the game. You can get them at different points in the game while doing both main and side quests.

How to get all Character Portraits and Haytham Kenway’s Overcoat

Unsinkable

Survive a rogue wave taken from the side. Rogue Waves only occur with bad weather. Venture into a storm and hunt for one. The places with the worst weather in the game are Serranilla and Charlotte.

Walls That Hold Back The Wind

Settle in a new home, complete Sequence 4, Memory 1. The specific quest is This Old Cove.

Yo Ho…

Learn a new Shanty by either finding Song Sheets in the world, or by completing certain quests. You’re guaranteed to get this as you progress the story.

After completing the main quest, Do Not Go Gently…, you’ll get the Shanty “Burn Blackbeard’s Beard” and unlock this achievement.

Zero Waste

When you collect enough Map Pieces, go to the Treasure Dealer at Great Inagua and pay for his Map Restoration service. Restoring a map will not only get you treasure, but this achievement as well!
