Finding ship plans is your key to having a near unsinkable ship in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced. These Plans unlock the top tier upgrades for the Jackdaw.

Methods to acquire Jackdaw Ultimate Plans Explained
There are two methods of acquiring ship plans, finding it as buried treasure and diving for it underwater at shipwrecks.
The ship upgrade plans and Ship Vanity Plans all require a Tier III Harbourmaster to purchase. The ship upgrades in particular get rather expensive, so you’ll need to make a lot of money to go along with the plan and the required supplies.
Searching for Buried Treasure
As you explore various islands and cities, you’ll often find a Treasure Map icon on the map. If you go investigate these, you’ll often find a skeleton with a map you can pick up off of it.
The maps can be found in the Codex Menu where the title of the map is it’s location. The map itself has a picture with the classic “X marks the spot” where you’ll find the treasure.
The best part? The exact coordinates of the chest are in the lower right corner of each map. Or… for some players it is the worse part as it may rob you form the excitement of searching for the location.
Go to your map, match the coordinates and place a marker there. All you have to do now is make your way there, avoiding any hazards along the way. This guide will show you where to find a part’s map and its location.
You can’t skip to the buried treasure without getting it’s map. Until you acquire the map, the treasure cannot be dug up. It’s all part of the process of being a pirate, enjoy the act of digging up buried treasure!
Diving at Sunken Ships
Some of the more desired upgrade plans are found underwater at shipwrecks. You cannot do this activity until you’ve made progress in the main story. More specifically, you’ll unlock access to the Diving Bell during the quest “Diving for Medicines“.
Diving underwater for parts can be dangerous if you don’t refill on air or avoid the jellyfish, urchins, and sharks. Plans in the diving areas are just the plans themselves, no treasure map that entails a second trip. It’s simpler, far more hazardous, but it’s well worth the effort.
If you feel you don’t have enough time to hold your breath, you can always change your settings to adjust Activity difficulty to Forgiving to gain another 15 seconds of air. Alternatively, adjust your Gameplay settings to turn on Unlimited Oxygen so you don’t have to worry about drowning.
All Ship Ultimate Plan Locations
This section will cover where you can find plans for top tier upgrades for the Jackdaw. Without these components, performing tasks such as taking on Legendary Ships will be incredibly difficult.
Assuming you’re upgrading a ship weapon to the maximum tier, the piece will acquire appear gold! It’s a fun touch that shows you are a pirate that can afford the finest ship upgrades money can buy.
Broadside Cannons Number Ultimate Plan
The Broadside Cannons Number Ultimate Plan is found in the southwestern portion of Charlotte. It’s a short trip northeast of New Bone in Serranilla.
The chest containing the plan will be in the northeast tip of the map. You’ll find it underneath the derelict hull of a ship.
Fire Barrel Storage Ultimate Plan
The treasure map for this plan will be found at Petite Caverne (862, 236) in Punta Guarico. Deal with the pirates in the hideout and loot the bound skeleton behind their piles of crates.
The map will lead to Tulum (40, 372) and the dig site can be found at the southern short near a rocky outcrop and two palm trees.
Fire Barrel Strength Ultimate Plan
The Treasure Map will be at Santanillas (190, 218) in Chinchorro. The skeleton with the map will be on top of an outcrop, so you’ll need to climb a nearby tree trunk to get high enough to jump onto it.
The map leads to the cave of San Juan (455, 462) in Cruz. You’ll need to dive underwater here to get access to the cave.
Once you’ve surfaced and run into the two pirates, kill them and you’ll find the dig site on the right side of this first room.
Harpoon Strength Ultimate Plan
To make your harpoon as sharp as it can be, head to Mariguana Island. It’s a short trip northeast of Great Inagua and there you’ll collect the Treasure Map at (848, 514). The path to the chest is hidden within the rock behind some vines.
The map leads to Andreas Island where you’ll find the chest on a tiny island just outside the southern shore (544, 693). If you haven’t found it already, there’s a secret vendor just south of this island.
Heavy Shot Storage Ultimate Plan
The Heavy Shot Storage Plan will be found at Cayman Sound (298, 311). You’ll find the skeleton near a rocky outcrop on the northwest side of the island.
Go to Petite Caverne and into its pirate hideout. Go up the ramps near the piles of crates and you’ll find a waterfall. The chest will be buried between the bushes and south of the stalagnate (863, 235).
Heavy Shot Strength Ultimate Plan
Ambergris Key in west Chinchorro will hold the Heavy Shot Strength Plan at (28, 159). When you reach the cave icon on the world map, dive underwater and swim towards the entrance with the jellyfish.
Climb up into the Mayan Ruins and clear out the pirates inside. You’re looking for a room above the pillars. Inside you’ll find the skeleton with the Treasure Map.
Your next destination is Misteriosa in the middle of Serranilla. The buried treasure will be left of the Mayan fountain (271, 178).
Mortar Storage Ultimate Plan
The Treasure Map will be at Tortuga Plantation on the east coast of the island (851, 352). Take out the Alarm Bell near the map to save yourself some trouble if you get caught.
Sail to Matanzas in Dry Tortuga, east of Havana. Near the Mayan Stele, you’ll find a waterfall (312, 617). Walk through the waterfall and dig up the plan.
Mortars Ultimate Plan
Antocha Wreck in Gibara will have the Mortars Ultimate Plan. This is a very easy one to acquire assuming you’re good at pushing sharks.
You’ll find the chest at the southern tip of this area. Investing in the best mortars will help you sink five star ships and take down the toughest forts like Fort Serranilla.
Ram Ultimate Plan
The Ram Ultimate Plan is found at the La Concepción Wreck in the middle of Chinchorro. Look for the swarm of jellyfish to lead the way to the plan.
This map isn’t too big, just avoid the jellyfish as you swim to the chest found within the shipwreck. Upgrading your Ram from Tier III to IV will double the damage done with it, allowing you to put a sizable dent in Man O’ Wars.
Round Shot Strength Ultimate Plan
The Kabah Ruins in Navassa will have the plan needed to upgrade your primary cannons. The chest containing the plan is found inside an underwater cavern, but a lack of patience will kill you.
Go west of the large Mayan ruins to find a cavern entrance with jellyfish in front of it and go inside. Refill at the air pocket room as the next section can be dangerous.
The path leading to the treasure chest will have strong currents flowing through it intermittently. Trying to swim here blindly will lead to you getting pushed back. Use the wood beams to give yourself a boost and use the divot on the east side of the tunnel to hide from the currents until it’s over.
Once you’ve made it to the end, open the chest for the plan and use the currents to give you a boost back to the entrance.
Swivel Guns Ultimate Plan
You’ll find the Swivel Guns Ultimate Plan in the middle of the map. Your destination are the Devil’s Eye Caverns in the Cruz region.
Reaching this plan feels more dangerous than it actually is. You’ll need to swim through two tunnels, the first of which is rather long. Halfway through the first tunnel is a room with two chests and an air pocket.
Refill on air int his room then continue your way into the middle open zone. Go through the hatch on the sunken ship where the jellyfish are to access the second tunnel.
When you make it to the cave at the end of the second tunnel, you’ll find a short shaft to the east containing the chest with the Swivel Gun Ultimate Plan.
Ship Vanity Plan Locations
Ship Vanity Plans are required to unlock Legendary Ship Vanity Items from a Tier III Harbourmaster. These serve no functional purpose but their designs may tickle your fancy if you enjoy the finer things in life.
Elite Sails Design Plan
You’ll find the Elite Sail’s Treasure Map on Great Inagua. Go to the western side of the island and look for a line of trees and tree trunks you can hop along. This will lead you to a hidden cave above a ledge where you’ll find the skeleton with a map (814, 447).
Once you have the map, go to southwest Nassau (586, 755). The treasure will be beneath a massive rock jutting out of the earth like Pride Rock.
The sails will cost you 2,800 reales, 450 cloth, and the plan. These beautiful sails offer a dynamic red and white pattern that’s simple yet impressive with the gold filigree on the edges.
Gilded Hull Design Plan
The Treasure Map for this plan is found on Misteriosa in central Serranilla. You’re looking for a couple of Conquistador skeletons in the middle layer of the Mayan ruins (272, 175).
The Gilded Hull Plan will be found in eastern Kingston (631, 152). The treasure will be buried near some barrels and rubble on the beach.
The Gilded Hull gives the Jackdaw a navy blue paint job with gilded stairs, edges, and guard rails. Some of the wood is left untouched giving the colors a great balance between one another. It looks even better with golden weapons unlocked by fully upgrading them. Overall it’s a good deal for the 3,200 reales, 800 wood, and the plan.
Ivory Wheel Design Plan
The Ivory Wheel’s Treasure Map will be found in Cumberland Bay, Punta Guarico. You’ll find the skeleton with the map on the southeast area of the island (648, 345).
Follow the map to Pinos Isle in the middle of Castillo de Jagua. The chest is north of the Mayan structure where the Viewpoint is located (304, 455).
If you’re looking for something extra gaudy to sail in style, the Ivory Wheel is the perfect addition for such an endeavor. Paying 4,200 reales, 300 metal, and the plan will get you a jewel-encrusted, gold-laden, ivory steering wheel for the Jackdaw.
Why it’s called the Ivory Wheel is a bit of a mystery. There isn’t any part on the wheel that is visibly made of ivory. A bit of a disappointment, but it’s still fabulously extra.
Queen Anne Figurehead Design
The Treasure Map for this fine figurehead will be in southern Havana. You’ll find a conquistador skeleton in a small canal (217, 571). This style of helmet has been out of style for at least 60 years by this time in history, so the good civilians of Havana have never bothered to clean out this canal for well over half a century.
Laziness of civilians aside, the map takes you on a long and arduous journey to the beach at south Havana (213, 564). There are some pirates in the area that may cause you trouble. Dig up the treasure at the corner of the stone wall at the beach.
Taking Blackbeard’s style for yourself will cost you 8,000 reales, 650 wood, and of course the plan. While looking like a fearsome gargoyle, the golden portions of it add a bit of flair to let it mesh well with the previously mentioned components.
Serpent Figurehead Design Plan
Last and certainly most least, the Serpent Figurehead can be found on Abaco Island in west Eleuthera (581, 804). You’ll find the skeleton on the southwest area of the island, where it looks like he went out drinking while gazing at the ocean.
Head to Salt Lagoon in north Gibara. The chest will be buried on the northwest part of the island near a rocky outcrop (719, 607).
This humble figurehead will cost you 6,000 reales, 500 wood, and this final plan. It’s rather crude compared to the previous vanities found through treasure chests, but more options for style is always a good thing.
