Full lists of all common, rare, and Legendary Sails, Figureheads, Hulls, Wheels, Crew Attires, and Pets you can earn through gameplay in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced.

How to change the Jackdaw’s Appearance

There are six categories with vanity items you can choose from to customize your Jackdaw’s appearance: Sails, Figureheads, Hulls, Wheels, Crew Attires, and Pets.

You can change your ship’s appearance by visiting the Harbourmaster vendor at Great Inagua or any other Harbourmaster. Talk to the NPC, select “Upgrade Ship” and navigate to the “Appearance” tab.

In this guide, we list all items you can obtain through gameplay – by completing quests and projects, exploring the map and discovering new locations. This catalog does not feature items exclusively available in the in-game shop.

None of these customizations included here affect gameplay. They’re just vanity items, used to make the Jackdaw look cool.

All of the ship cosmetics fall into one of three rarity tiers: Common, Rare, and Legendary. The game uses these tiers are primarily used to hint at how easy or expensive an item is to obtain.

Usually the Common tier items are easy and quick to obtain or purchase from a Tier 1 vendor and are relatively inexpensive, while the Legendary items are often found in obscure locations or awarded for completing difficult quests and challenges.

Sails

Sails is the largest category with 32 Sail Appearances available. This slot changes the symbols, style and colors of the sails of the Jackdaw. It does not add new sails or change their shapes and positions. It alters only the colors and print decorations on the sails.

Wheel

The wheel is the one element you will stare at most of the time while sailing. This category offers 18 variants you can obtain. Most of them are simple color alterations, but a few add unique figure or symbol in the center of the wheel. Sadly, it is often obscured by Edward’s body, but you know it’s there and that is what matters!

Pet

Every pirate needs a pet. The Pet slot is not technically part of the Ship’s appearance. It’s located on the screen where you select Edward’s Inventory screen.

Just like all of Edward’s outfits, the Pet slot is purely cosmetic. Furthermore, one of the most prominent spots where you see the pet, however, is on the ship, so we decided to include this category here as well.
