Find all the new Community Chests in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced for Update 1.0.8. We’ll give you the coordinates and provide tips on how to unlock certain chests that have special requirements.
With the final major content drop with Update 1.0.8, Black Flag Resynced has gained another batch of hidden Community Chests!
Many of the rewards are related to Edward’s story throughout the game. While not officially stated by Ubisoft, these treasures are very likely to have prerequisites needed to have them appear. Those are most likely completing the reward’s related main story quest.
Sunken Treasure near Cape Bonavista
At (152, 628), you’ll find a small island with a lagoon just north of Cape Bonavista. Inside the lagoon is a treasure chest that will give you the Simple Sailor Clothing.
The Simple Sailor Outfit is the same outfit Edward Kenway wears at the very start of the game. This is the outfit he wore when he was a crew member of the Jacobite.
Shooting Gallery
At (817, 526), there’s a small island with a lagoon north of Great Inagua. You can find 6 dummies around the island. Shoot each one with your pistol and once all 6 are shot, lightning will strike the lagoon and reveal a treasure chest.
Opening the treasure chest will give you Blackbeard’s Classic Outfit. This has Blackbeard’s iconic lit-fuse fat, and his worn yet rugged outfit. It’s a good way to honor the memory of Blackbeard.
Secret Diving Bell Area
Around (570, 60) in southwest Navassa is a secret diving area. It’s not particularly big and there’s only three chests to find. The chest to the left is some random treasure, while the two chests on the right give reales and all of the Ipswich ship cosmetics.
The HMS Ipswich was the Legendary Ship battle at the end of the A World Without Gold story arc. This is the same arc where you unlock the Master Gunner, Tobias Smith.
The Ipswich Cosmetics feature a lot of white with yellow and dark gray accents. It’s a bit gaudy as Maynard lacked good taste, but it’s still overall fairly nice and bright color scheme.
Sunken Treasure in Serranilla
At (249, 5) in Serranilla, there’s an island with a small inlet on the north side. At the tip of this inlet is a treasure chest underwater that will contain the Underwater Togs outfit.
The Underwater Togs is the outfit that Edward wears in the diving bell areas. When you have this many muscles, all shirts do is slow you down.
Sunken Treasure in PrÃncipe
Go to PrÃncipe and go to (107, 27) to find a chest underwater. This will give you the Theater Formalwear outfit.
The Theater Formalwear is seen in the Epilogue of the game where Edward is with his daughter and son at the theater.
The Raging Pig God
At (517, 720), there’s a blue treasure chest on an unmarked island. This is a trap and it only contains 5 Boar Hides. As soon as it’s opened, a large wild pig will come running over.
Bacon Boarpole, Raging Pig God is a very dangerous foe. He hits like a truck and he has a nasty area attack. When he rears up, step away as he’ll deal massive damage in a small area around him.
The safest way to fight him is to unload every bit of pistol ammo you have on him. Dodging his attacks is far easier and safer than trying to parry them as he has weird parry timings.
The Rope Dart is very useful in this fight as it’ll interrupt his charges or other attacks. Once you defeat him, you’ll get the Marooned Rags outfit. This is the outfit that Edward wears during the quest Marooned.
