All Vendors in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced: Inventory Lists and How to Upgrade them

This guide will show you all types of vendors in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, how to unlock and upgrade them and what each of them has to offer at every upgrade tier.

How Vendors Work in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced

Spread throughout all inhabited islands in the game, you can find at least one vendor. In the case of big cities, they are all over the place.

These NPCs exist to facilitate replenishment of your consumables, provide you with easy-to-access upgrades and accessories, and even some collectables.

Running out of remedies, bullets, mortar rounds, etc. during a heated combat segment can be avoided with a quick visit to the local vendor.

The catalog of items you can purchase from these vendors grows and is tied to the progress you’ve made restoring the Hideout in Great Inagua.

There are 4 different types of vendors you can find throughout the game for different needs you might encounter. These are Harbourmaster, General Store, Treasure Dealer, and Taverns.

Harbourmaster

These are the most common and arguably the most important among all vendors. You can can find them wherever there’s a dock, and visiting this vendor is key to exploring and advancing through the game.

With the Harbourmaster you can replenish your ship’s ammo, buy Ship Vanity items to change the appearance of the Jackdaw, and upgrade the ship to take on more challenging areas of the map.

General Store

General Stores are available in nearly every settlement, and in the biggest cities you’ll find several in case you need to quickly restock on consumables. They offer a variety of products:

  • Ammo and health items to replenish Edwards different tools.
  • Swords, Pistols and Trinkets to improve your stats and change how you approach melee combat.
  • Outfits to make Kenway look his best while exploring the seas
  • Wildlife products such as skins and bones that are needed for the crafting system. These items have to be bought using a unique currency, “bones”.
  • Collectibles in the form of an Art Collection for those of you who enjoy decorating the Great Inagua manor and the completionists getting everything the game has to offer.

The items available at any point are determined by how much you’ve restored and upgraded the General Store in Great Inagua. The items available at any General Store at each tier are as follows:

Hidden on an Island unmarked on your map, at the northwest Corner of Gibara there’s a Secret General Store that gives you the chance to buy some legendary items and some very spooky attire for the Jackdaw’s crew.

How to get the Deceased Crew Attire

Treasure Dealer

This vendor is unique to Great Inagua and becomes available only after restoring the Harbourmaster and the Tavern in the hideout. From here, you can talk to the NPC on the docks to build the Treasure Dealer vendor.

At the Treasure Dealer, you’ll get access to restoring maps. First you’ll have to find the pieces for different maps scattered around the world and in exchange for some Reales and Trade Goods. After paying him with Reales and Trade Goods, he’ll give you the restored map with coordinates to a treasure.

You can also buy from him Legendary Swords, Pistols, Trinkets, Outfits, and Ship Vanities. Unlike other vendors, you’ll have to pay with a combination of Wildlife Products and Trade Goods.

Two notable items you can buy here are Bones in exchange for Reales, and a piece for the Weathered Map. Bones can be used in the General Store to buy Wildlife Products that can be used to upgrade Kenway’s Gear.

Taverns

You can find Taverns in all towns in the game and after you unlock them you get access to three different services and a very unique interaction.

First there’s the “Buy Tip” option where you have to approach the bartender. For 100 Reales, he’ll sell you information about the whereabouts of a Royal Convoy for you to plunder.

Second, there’s the Crew Recruitment. If your ship has taken considerable damage and you’ve made a lot of boardings, your ship’s crew might be dwindling. You can approach this man, and he will replenish your crew with new men for a price.

Third we have the Tavern Games NPCs. Sitting at a table in the taverns, you’ll see a man with a board game in front of him. You’ll be able to challenge them to one of three games of various difficulties, where you can place a bet to try and win some coin. The mini-games you can play are Checkers, Nine-Man Morris, and Fanorona.

Lastly, there’s a bottle you can interact with near the bartender. By paying 25 Reales you can trigger a unique cutscene where Edward pours and drinks some beverage, becoming intoxicated as the camera looks blurry and shaky.

This inebriated state does not affect the gameplay and lasts only about a minute. It would’ve been funny to see Kenway stumble and fail at doing parkour, but there are no additional effects or interactions.
