There are 30 Treasure Maps you can find in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced. Learn where to find every Treasure Map and the exact treasure location marked on the map.
Use the Table of Contents, located in the left panel (top left button on the mobile menu) to navigate through this long guide more easily and quickly.
How Treasure Maps work in AC Black Flag Resynced
Spread across the map you’ll see “Secrets” listed when you hover over a location. Some of those secrets will be a Treasure Map.
For the most part, when you reach a Treasure Map location you’ll find a skeleton wearing antique Conquistador armor. Interact with it to pick up its Treasure Map.
A couple of Treasure Maps are acquired in a different manner. We explain all of them in detail further down in this guide.
Once you pick up a Treasure Map you’ll be notified that a new entry has been added to your Codex. If you go into the Maps section you’ll find all the Treasure Maps you’ve acquired, each showing the coordinates leading to a buried chest.
Now it’s just a matter of sailing to the coordinates and locating the site depicted on the Treasure Map.
When you find the right spot you’ll see a “Dig Up” prompt. Interact with it to trigger a cutscene of Edward digging up the treasure. Afterwards you’ll receive your rewards.
You can’t skip to the buried treasure without getting it’s map first. Until you acquire the map, the treasure cannot be dug up.
There are 30 Treasure Maps you can find in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced. 23 are found on the world map, 5 require restoring Map Fragments. The last two are acquired through the Blackbeard’s Treasure quest and by collecting all Character Portraits.
When you receive a Treasure Map, the notification will name it after the place where you found it, like “Treasure Map from Abaco Island” for example. In the Codex, though, it’ll be named after the place where the treasure is buried, such as “Salt Lagoon”.
Treasure Map from Abaco Island (Salt Lagoon)
You can find the Treasure Map on the southern side of Abaco Island in the Eleuthera region. The skeleton holding it is leaning on a palm tree by the beach, next to a coconut and some bottles of rum. The coordinates are 581, 804.
The Treasure Map will point you towards the northwestern point of Salt Lagoon in the Gibara region. Here you’ll find the buried chest in front of a huge moss-covered boulder on the beach. The coordinates where the treasure chest is buried are 719, 607.
Inside this chest you’ll find the Serpent Figurehead Design Plan and 3000 Reales. To unlock the Serpent Figurehead you’ll need to craft it with a Harbourmaster.
Treasure Map from Ambergris Key (Misteriosa)
To find this Treasure Map you have to go to Ambergris Key in the Chinchorro region. Climb up into the Mayan Ruins and clear out the pirates inside.
You’re looking for a room above the pillars. Inside you’ll find the skeleton with the Treasure Map. The coordinates are 28, 159.
The Treasure Map will take you to Misteriosa in the Serranilla region. The buried treasure will be left of the Mayan fountain. The coordinates where the treasure chest is buried are 271, 178.
Once you dig up this buried treasure, you’ll receive the Heavy Shot Strength Ultimate Plan along with 3000 Reales.
Treasure Map from Andreas Island (Abaco Island)
You can find the Treasure Map on the southern side of Andreas Island in the Eleuthera region. The skeleton holding it is in front of a rock by the beach, near the rotting hull of a long-stranded ship. The coordinates are 543, 693.
The Treasure Map will take you to the northeastern side of Abaco Island in the Eleuthera region.
Here you’ll find the buried treasure in a small clearing surrounded by palm trees with a view of a shipwreck. The coordinates where the treasure is buried are 586, 811.
Inside this chest you’ll find 2500 Reales and the Earth Monster Relief Art Collection piece.
Treasure Map from Cape Bonavista (Cape Bonavista)
You’ll find this Treasure Map in the jungles of Cape Bonavista in the Dry Tortuga region. The skeleton holding the map is inside a small cave near an abandoned village. The coordinates are 161, 585.
To claim this buried treasure you’ll stay in Cape Bonavista and go to it’s southmost beach. Here you’ll find the buried chest inside a huge cavern with stalactites hanging above a pool of still water. The coordinates where the treasure is buried are 146, 587.
The reward for finding this buried treasure is the slightly underwhelming amount of 1500 Reales.
Treasure Map from Cayman Sound (Petite Caverne)
To find this Treasure Map you must head to the northeastern side of Cayman Sound in the Castillo de Jagua region. You’ll find the skeleton holding the Treasure Map on a rocky shore among some broken crates and barrels. The coordinates are 298, 311.
The Treasure Map will lead you towards Petite Caverne, a cave in the Punta Guarico region. Here you’ll have to go deep into a smuggler’s den where you’ll find the buried treasure right in front of a pair of shovels located behind a huge stalagmite. The coordinates where the treasure is buried are 863, 235.
From this buried treasure you’ll receive the Heavy Shot Storage Ultimate Plan and 3000 Reales.
Treasure Map from Corozal (Ambergris Key)
You’ll find this Treasure Map on the eastern side of Corozal in the Chinchorro region. The skeleton will be sitting in front of a small campfire, holding its skull in its lap. The coordinates are 11, 242.
The Treasure Map will lead you towards Ambergris Key. Here you’ll need to go into the cave and inside the room where you surface from the underwater entrance, to the left side you’ll find the buried treasure inside of a small cavern filled with bats. The coordinates where the treasure is buried are 30, 157.
Once you dig up this buried treasure, you’ll receive the Pirate Captain Outfit along with 2000 Reales.
Treasure Map from Cumberland Bay (Pinos Isle)
You’ll find this Treasure Map in Cumbearland Bay in the Punta Guarico region. You’ll find the skeleton with the map in the southeast area of the island, lying with its skull on a rock. The coordinates are 648, 345.
This map will take you to Pinos Isle in the middle of the Castillo de Jagua region. The chest is north of the Mayan structure where the Viewpoint is located. The coordinates where the treasure is buried are 304, 455.
Once you dig up the buried treasure, you’ll receive the Ivory Wheel Design Plan along with 3000 Reales.
Treasure Map from Great Inagua (Nassau)
You’ll find this treasure map in Great Inagua in the Gibara region. Go to the western side of the island and look for a line of trees and tree trunks you can hop along.
This will lead you to a hidden cave above a ledge where you’ll find the skeleton with a map. The coordinates are 814, 447.
This Treasure Map will lead you to southwest Nassau in the Eleuthera region. The treasure will be on the edge of the swamp beneath a massive rock jutting out of the earth like Pride Rock. The coordinates where the treasure is buried are 586, 755.
Once you dig up the buried treasure you’ll receive the Elite Sails Design Plan along with 3000 Reales.
Treasure Map from Havana (Havana)
To find this map you have to go to southern Havana in the Dry Tortuga region. Here you’ll find the skeleton with the Treasure Map in a small canal. The coordinates are 217, 571.
The map takes you on a long and arduous journey to the beach at south Havana. There are some pirates in the area that may cause you trouble. Dig up the treasure at the corner of the stone wall at the beach. The coordinates where the treasure is buried are 213, 564.
Once you dig up the buried treasure you’ll receive The Queen Anne’s Figurehead Design along with 3000 Reales.
Treasure Map from Havana Warehouse (Anotto Bay)
To receive this Treasure Map you have to head towards Havana in the Dry Tortuga region. Once you’re there you have to raid the Warehouse located at the coordinates 205, 600.
This Treasure Map will take you to Anotto Bay in the Charlotte region. The cave is filled with pirates you must take out first. Once they’re gone, you’ll find the buried treasure in front of some boxes near the exit to the cave. The coordinates where the treasure is buried are 590,245.
Once you dig up the buried treasure you’ll receive the Crimson Cloak outfit along with 2000 Reales.
Treasure Map from Île-à-Vache (Jiguey)
To find this map you have to go to the eastern side of Île-à-Vache in the Navassa region. The skeleton holding this map is almost completely gone, so you’ll find its Conquistador armor sitting next to a rock by the beach. The coordinates are 812, 114.
This map will take you to Jiguey, a Cave in the Gibara region. Here you’ll find a grotto filled with pirates you need to take out. Once they’re gone you’ll find the treasure between two palm trees. The coordinates where the treasure is buried are 534, 510.
Once you dig up this buried treasure you’ll receive 2500 Reales and the Baroque Guitar Art Collection piece.
Treasure Map from Isla Providencia (Long Bay)
To find this Treasure Map you have to go to Isla Providencia in the Serranilla region. The skeleton holding the map will be lying on the ground next to a pile of bones in the middle of the jungle. The coordinates are 482,24.
This map leads you to Long Bay in the Charlotte region. You’ll find the buried treasure on the rightmost beach near some abandoned huts. The coordinates where the treasure is buried are 503,230.
Once you dig up this buried treasure you’ll receive the Rare Cutlass Scottish Broadswords.
Treasure Map from Kingston Warehouse (Cumberland Bay)
To receive this Treasure Map you have to head towards Kingston in the Navassa region. Once you’re there you have to raid the Warehouse located at the coordinates 605, 156.
The map takes you to Cumberland Bay in the Punta Guarico region. You’ll find the buried treasure by the beach in front of a rowboat. The coordinates where the treasure is buried are 645, 355.
This is one of the somewhat disappointing buried treasures that only gives you money as a reward, in this case 4000 Reales.
Treasure Map from Mariguana Island (Andreas Island)
To find this Treasure Map you must head to Mariguana Island in the Gibara region. Here, the path to the skeleton holding the map is hidden within the rock behind some vines. The coordinates are 848, 514.
The map leads to Andreas Island in the Eleuthera region. You’ll find the chest on a tiny islet just outside the southern shore. The coordinates where the treasure is buried are 544,693.
Once you dig up this buried treasure you’ll receive the Harpoon Strength Ultimate Plan along with 3000 Reales.
Treasure Map from Misteriosa (Kingston)
You can find the treasure map on Misteriosa in the Serranilla region. You’re looking for a couple of Conquistador skeletons in the middle layer of the Mayan ruins. The coordinates are: 272, 175.
This map takes you to eastern Kingston in the Navassa region. The treasure will be buried near some barrels and rubble on the beach. The coordinates where the treasure is buried are 631,152.
Once you dig up this buried treasure you’ll receive the Gilded Hull Design Plan along with 3000 Reales.
Treasure Map from Nassau Warehouse (Isla Providencia)
To receive this Treasure Map you have to head towards Nassau in the Eleuthera region. Once you’re there you have to raid the Warehouse located at the coordinates 593, 750.
The map takes you to Isla Providencia at the far south of the map in the Serranilla region. You’ll find the buried treasure on the southernmost beach between three palm trees. The coordinates where the treasure is buried are 487, 11.
Once you dig up this buried treasure you’ll receive the Governor’s Outfit along with 2000 Reales.
Treasure Map from Petite Caverne (Tulum)
You’ll find this Treasure Map at Petite Caverne in the Punta Guarico region. Deal with the pirates in the hideout and loot the bound skeleton behind their piles of crates. The coordinates are 862, 236.
The map will lead to Tulum in the Conttoyor region. the dig site can be found at the southern shore near a rocky outcrop and two palm trees. The coordinates where the treasure is buried are 40, 372.
Once you dig up this buried treasure you’ll receive the Fire Barrel Storage Ultimate Plan along with 3000 Reales.
Treasure Map from Pinos Isle (Cayman Sound)
To find this map you have to go to Pinos Isle in the Castillo de Jagua Region. The skeleton holding the map sits against a fallen pillar in the middle of Mayan ruins.
The place is riddled with Spanish soldiers so be stealthy or be ready for a prolonged fight. The coordinates are 308, 456.
The Treasure Map will lead you to Cayman Sound in the Castillo de Jagua region. You’ll find the dig site on the northeastern beach of the island between a fallen tree and a small rock outcropping. The coordinates where the treasure is buried are 304, 310.
This is another buried treasure that grants you money as a reward. In this instance it’s 4000 Reales.
Treasure Map from Port Royal (Principe)
To find this map you need to head to Port Royal in the Navassa region. You’ll find the skeleton holding the map in a dug-out grave in a cemetery on the eastern side of town. The coordinates are 605, 132.
This treasure map will take you to Principe, which is its own region outside the regular map. It unlocks once you reach the Trust is Earned main story quest.
The dig site is located at the southeastern edge of the island, just outside of a town filled to the brim with pirates. The coordinates where the treasure is buried are 113, 11.
This buried treasure contains the Standard Bearer Art Collection piece as well as 2500 Reales.
Treasure Map from Salt Lagoon (New Bone)
To pick up this map you must head to Salt Lagoon in the Gibara region. The skeleton will be lying on the northeastern beach of the island, close to an upside-down rowboat. The coordinates are 723, 608.
This Treasure Map will take you to New Bone in the Serranilla region. The dig site will be waiting for you on a small islet just off the northern shore of the plantation. The coordinates where the treasure is buried are 407, 94.
This buried treasure contains the Maize Deity Art Collection piece as well as 2500 Reales.
Treasure Map from Santanillas (San Juan)
To find this Treasure Map you have to go to Santanillas in the Chinchorro region. The skeleton with the map will be on top of an outcrop, so you’ll need to climb a nearby tree trunk to get high enough to jump onto it. The coordinates are 191, 218.
The map leads to the cave of San Juan in the Cruz region. You’ll need to dive underwater here to get access to the cave. Once you’ve surfaced and run into the two pirates, kill them and you’ll find the dig site on the right side of this first room. The coordinates where the treasure is buried are 455, 462.
Once you dig up this buried treasure you’ll receive the Fire Barrel Strength Ultimate Plan along with 2000 Reales.
Treasure Map from Tortuga (Matanzas)
The Treasure Map will be on the east coast of Tortuga Plantation in the Punta Guarico region. Take out the Alarm Bell near the map to save yourself some trouble if you get caught. The coordinates are 851, 352.
The map will lead you to Matanzas in the Dry Tortuga region. Near the Mayan Stele, you’ll find a waterfall, walk through the waterfall and dig up the buried treasure. The coordinates where the treasure is buried are 312, 617.
Once you dig up this buried treasure you’ll receive the Mortar Storage Ultimate Plan along with 3000 Reales.
Treasure Map from Smelly Sailors Local Event (Dry Tortuga)
To find this map you first have to go to the docks in the southeastern part of Havana, where the Smelly Sailors Local Event will start. This lets you pick up the treasure map that is on top of some boxes near an anchored ship. The coordinates are 226,573.
This map will take you to a shipwreck on an unmarked island in the middle of the Dry Tortuga region.
Swim right in front of the wrecked hull of a ship and dive to find this Treasure Chest. The coordinates where you’ll find the underwater chest are 356, 700.
As a reward for finding this underwater chest you’ll receive the legendary Guardian Beast Trinket, which makes your health slowly regenerate while out of combat.
Treasure Map from Character Portraits (Great Inagua)
To receive this Treasure Map you’ll first have to gather all 11 Portraits and hang them on the walls of your Manor at Great Inagua. Once you’ve done so you’ll receive the Haytham Kenway’s Overcoat as well as the Great Inagua Treasure Map.
This map will lead you to the beach on the southern side of Great Inagua. Once you sail around the island you’ll find the buried treasure in front of an inclined palm tree. The coordinates where the treasure is buried are 820, 430.
Once you dig up this buried treasure you’ll receive the Legendary Cutlass, The Fortune, which makes so that each kill with a Heavy Strike gives some reales.
Blackbeard’s Treasure Map (Anotto Bay)
The quest “Blackbeard’s Treasure” is unlocked about two-thirds into the main story. Blackbeard’s Treasure becomes available when you complete the quest “Do Not Go Gently…”.
This Treasure Map will lead you to Anotto Bay in the Charlotte region. This treasure map doesn’t have coordinates, instead you’ll have to go deep into the cave and fight pirates that are looking for the treasure as well.
Once you open the chest you’ll learn that it’s filled with farming equipment. Your reward for doing all this will be receiving the Blackbeard’s Portrait.
Restored Yellowed Map (Black Island)
To buy this Treasure Map you’ll have to gather all 10 Yellowed Map Pieces and take them to the Treasure Dealer in Great Inagua. You’ll have to pay him 100 Aloe and 500 Reales, and he’ll give you the Restored Yellowed Map in exchange.
This Treasure Map will point you towards the northern side of Black Island in Gibara. You’ll find the buried treasure at the beach in front of an aground ship. The coordinates where the treasure is buried are 915, 617.
The buried chest contains the Obsidian Sails, the Helm of the Night Owl legendary ship vanity, and the sea shanty “The Wellerman”.
Restored Tattered Map (Florida)
To buy this Treasure Map you’ have to collect all 3 Tattered Map Pieces and take them to the Treasure Dealer in Great Inagua. You’ll have to pay him 300 Sugar and 500 Reales, and he’ll give you the Restored Tattered Map in exchange.
The Restored Tattered Map contains coordinates to Florida at the northeast part of Dry Tortuga. You’ll find the buried treasure in front of a skeleton sitting among the debris of a shipwreck. The coordinates where the treasure is buried are 381, 803.
Once you dig up the treasure you’ll receive three Ship Vanity items: the Elite Wheel, Gilt Lined Sails, and the Sleek Crew Attire.
Restored Weathered Map (Mystery Island)
To buy this Treasure Map you must gatther all 6 Weathered Map Pieces and take them to the Treasure Dealer. You’ll have to pay him 150 Spice and 500 Reales, and he’ll give you the Restored Weathered Map in exchange.
This treasure map leads you to Mystery Island in the Navassa region. You’ll find the chest inside a pit with a large haystack surrounded by the bones of some enslaved workers. The coordinates where the treasure is buried are 914, 124.
As a reward for finding this chest, you’ll get two very interesting legendary weapons, the Persian Scimitars and the Gargoyle’s Breath Pistols.
Restored Digested Map (Santanillas)
To buy this Treasure Map you first need to gather 2 Digested Map Pieces. Once you manage to get both pieces, go to the Treasure Dealer and pay him 200 Rum Barrels and 500 Reales to get the Restored Digested Map.
This map points you towards Santanillas within the Chinchorro region. The location for the buried treasure is below a pyramid going through a small opening in the wall. The coordinates where the treasure is buried are 188, 215.
Inside this chest you’ll find the Hunter Outfit and Hunter’s Amulet, which has the very underwhelming effect of reducing animals’ detection radius.
Restored Preserved Map (Sacrifice Island)
To be able to buy this Treasure Map you’ll have to find 4 Preserved Map Pieces. Once you’ve gathered them, the Treasure Dealer will sell you the Restored Preserved Map for 150 Tobacco and 500 Reales.
This map will lead you to Sacrifice Island inside the Conttoyor region. You’ll find the buried chest on the outskirts of the northern side of the island.
Inside the chest, there will be one of the coolest outfits for Edward, the Shade and Shadow Robes, as well as the Wooden Eyeball Legendary Trinket, which makes quick shooting kill Brutes instantly.
