Patch 1.0.7, among its many changes, now lets you adopt a new pet for the Hideout. Here’s everything you need to know to get yourself another furry companion.
What is the Famous Stranded Dog?
After the release of the game, players quickly discovered a dog stranded on a deserted island, and as usually happens with these things, petitions started asking Ubisoft to let us rescue it.
With patch 1.0.7, Ubisoft announced that you’ll be able to rescue the dog, after which you’ll find it back at the Hideout in Great Inagua.
How to Rescue the Stranded Dog
First, Fast Travel to Port Royal as it’s the closest location to the island. From here, set sail southbound towards the coordinates 624, 50.
You’ll quickly find your destination. After disembarking, you’ll find the dog roaming around near the body of a dead woman or lying on the beach close by.
You now need to pet the dog, after which you can leave, and it’ll be waiting for you back at the Manor.
You’ll find your new furry friend inside the main bedroom where you hung the portrait of Julien Du Casse.
Petting it for the first time after rescuing it will reward you with 5 Bones. Like all the dogs in the game it’ll follow you around for a short distance after you pet it, but if you go too fast or too far it’ll return to its original spot inside the bedroom.
