Ever A Splintered ends Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced with dangerous hazards and tricky platforming. We’ll show you now to navigate the platform sections so you can reach Torres and disable the devices protecting him.
How to unlock Ever A Splinter
Ever A Splinter is the final quest in Black Flag Resynced’s Main Story. You’ll be able to start it after completing Tainted Blood where you fight El Tiburrón. You’ll need to return to Long Bay but you’ll be unable to fast travel to it.
Reach the Observatory
Sail to Long Bay and sink the two Spanish ships guarding the coast. When they are down, sail into Long Bay and a cutscene will start. Make your way through the jungle and village to reach the Observatory.
Find Governor Torres
The Observatory will be far different than your first trip here. The stone walls are shifting around and the way to navigate isn’t so cut and dry.
Walk onto the first moving platform to reach the platform where the soldiers are. Defeat them and look to the south.
There’s a wall consisting of five vertical panels shifting up and down. It looks more confusing than it actually is.
Jump onto a wall panel when a groove is in reach to cling onto it. Make your way up to the platform protruding out of the central panel.
When the central panel ascends, jump onto the platform to the right. Wait for this panel to ascend and you’ll need to jump to a horizontal pillar at a weird angle.
Jump your way across these pillars and to the long platform above the stairs leading to the Observatory.
When you reach the stairs and go down the corridor, a wall of light will disintegrate a soldier. Needless to say, don’t touch those walls of light.
Defeat all of Torres’s men in the Observatory room. If you’re feeling sadistic, you can use the Rope Dart or kick them into the walls of light.
Disable the Devices
When all of the soldiers are defeated, you’ll need to disable three devices generating a shield around Torres. Jump down to the first one and interact with it to kick it down.
Do note that these are rather buggy. Kenway may freeze up for a few seconds while the devices fall on their own, followed by Kenway kicking the air. If this happens, just let it play out until you can move again.
Jump across the platforms that pop up to reach the wall with the energy shooting out of it. This is the most dangerous part of this platforming section and failure will have you restart at the beginning of the Observatory.
Take your time with this section. You’ll want to climb up the wall and shimmy to the right. Wait for the energy to appear and disappear, then climb up and right.
When you’re out of reach of the energy, descent onto the wall with the glowing symbols then make your way to the right and climb up to reach the second device.
With the second device destroyed, more platforms will appear leading to the final device. Climb up and destroy the final device to remove Torres’s shield, then assassinate him to complete the quest.
