This guide will show you what Bastier’s Demenissian Grand General set looks like, what unique benefits it provides, and how to get it in Crimson Desert!
Appearance
The Demenissian Grand General set is obtainable by all players in Crimson Desert and features limited adornments for a utilitarian style along with a unique high collar to protect Kliff’s otherwise exposed neck.

This set is worn by Inquisitor Lucian Bastier, the final boss of Chapter VIII: Blood Coronation. His Awakened Phase 2 appearance incorporates elements of the Unyielding Hero set worn by Cassius Morten.
Stats
The core Demenissian Grand General set as Lucian Bastier wore it consists of 6 fully upgradeable pieces and 5 unaffiliated pieces that help complete the look. It is wearable by Kliff and Oonka.
As Plate Armor, it features maximum Defense raw unarmed Attack Power. The Cloak provides an unusual foundation for Tier I Lightning Resistance that can be completed with a combination of Shockward II and III, but it’s not worth spending 2 Abyss Gear sockets on that.
The Mace of Ambition is a bit more unique and comes with a special Fire Attack effect that seems to be just a cosmetic thing.

Acquisition
You can obtain the Demenissian Grand General set from separate locations across Demeniss, Hernand, and Pailune.
Bastier’s Helmet Location
There is no dedicated Demenissian Grand General Helm because Lucian Bastier doesn’t wear one. However, the mask he wears after being Awakened by the Abyss Artifact he consumes looks a lot like the Unyielding Hero’s Helm, albeit with more plumage.
You can purchase the Unyielding Hero’s Plate Helm from the Back Alley Shop in Thalwynd (Calphade). You may need to reach 100 Trust and/or defeat Cassius Morten before you can buy it.

Bastier’s Chestpiece and Gloves Location
Lucian Bastier wears the Demenissian Grand General Plate Armor and Eclipsed Solas Plate Gloves, and you receive both for defeating him at the Spire of Clockwork on the Breezeblown Knoll in eastern Demeniss at the end of Chapter VIII: Blood Coronation.

Bastier’s Cloak Location
You receive the Demenissian Grand General Plate Cloak when you return to Count Elmore at Brookfield Manor in the Demenissian capital after defeating all 3 of the Moon Reaper bosses at each court of Demeniss as part of the Faction Quest “Lunar Judgment”.

Bastier’s Boots Location
Lucian Bastier wears the Frostcursed Plate Boots, which you can loot from a chest in the Well of Tragedy Grotto, a waterfall cave northwest of Tariv in Demeniss.

Bastier’s Mace of Ambition Location
You can find Bastier’s Mace of Ambition resting on the floor inside the room with the spinning door near the top of the Spire of Clockwork behind the hanging “weights”.

It’s on the wooden scaffolding directly across from the rotating door. You can’t get inside until you’ve obtained the Spire of Clockwork Key you get for defeating Bastier at the end of Chapter VIII.

Prior to Update 1.15, it was in a room at the top of the Spire of Clockwork that was inaccessible through normal gameplay. To get inside, you had to clip into the room. It seems that if you got it this way, the Mace of Ambition does not reappear in the new spot.
Bastier’s Shield Location
Bastier wields the Black Sun, which you can loot from a chest behind a trap door wall underneath the bridge to Demeniss Castle. Cling to the wall, hold Resist, and then use Force Palm to rotate with it.

Bastier’s Necklace Location
Bastier’s Black Sun Necklace is not presently obtainable. The closest available alternative is the Saint’s Necklace.
You can steal the Saint’s Necklace from a puzzle strongbox on the second floor of the Hillside Manor in Hernand Town.

It’s a lockpicking style puzzle. From left to right, the solution is 2 turns, 2 turns, 3 turns, 4 turns, 5 turns. A turn means you press the button once and then Kliff’s thumb turns and stops.

Darksworn Location
Bastier’s arm turns into a sword after he consumes the power of the Abyss Artifact. Sadly, you can’t do that, but wielding the Darkbringer is a solid alternative. It matches the base outfit right out of the box and has a similar shape to Awakened Bastier’s sword arm.
You receive the Darkbringer for defeating Ator, Archon of Antumbra, at the Cloister of Ruination in northwestern Pailune.

You can also find a giant skeleton chomping on a second Darkbringer south of the General’s Tomb in the northwestern corner of Pailune.

Bastier Ranged Weapon
Bastier did not use a ranged weapon and there is not one associated with the set. Given he was a high-ranking military official in Demeniss, a Musket is probably more appropriate than a Bow.
