This guide will show you what the Skyblazer set (Balthazar’s outfit) looks like, what unique benefits it provides, and how to get it in Crimson Desert!
Appearance
The Skyblazer set is obtainable by all players in Crimson Desert. It features a prominent conical straw hat strung with dangling coin ornaments over layers of dark, wavy-patterned robes with silver detailing and vibrant coral-orange accent colors.
This set is a Pan-Asian fantasy blend that primarily draws from Korean and Chinese historical aesthetics. In fact, one of the bosses in the game, Balthazar, the Wyvernflame, wears it.
We recommend hiding the bow when not in use. If you Imbue Lightning into your weapon, you can imagine being Raiden from Mortal Kombat.

The Skyblazer set is fully upgradeable and features a combined Defense that can be refined up to 76. It can also have up to 13 Abyss Gear Slots.

You can obtain the Skyblazer set from treasure chests locations across Delesyia. The Wyvern Blaster is exclusive to Oongka and is a reward for defeating Balthazar. You can obtain all items, except for the Blaster, without fighting. And you can visit these locations whenever you please.
Where to find Balthazar and his Wyvern Blaster
Balthazar is one of the elite bosses in Crimson Desert. He is guarding the initially occupied territory around Fort Windridge in the southwestern edge of Delesyia.
You will only loot a gun from him, but since we reference him several times in this guide, we thought you’d like to know where to find the boss himself.
Balthazar is tied to a standard outpost liberation quest. You can just go in, defeat all soldiers and beat the boss without first obtaining the quest. The Wyvern Blaster is a weapon only Oongka can wield.
The quest is called “Balthazara, the Wyvernflame” and is part of “The Wyvernflames questline, located under Delesyia → Faction Quests → Ironwheel of Dewhaven.
During the fight with Baltazar, you can observe him performing Explosive Evasive Shot and learn this skill for free.
Skyblazer Cloth Helm Location
You can loot the Skyblazer Cloth Helm from a treasure chest in a cave northwest of Fort Windridge. To access the location, you will need the Focused Force Palm.
Get past the spot where you can find the Thitd Shai (the green people that look like children), continue up the stone steps and look for a shiny block in the wall on the left side.
On your minimap, you will see an icon representing the Abyss Cell you can loot hidden inside the block. Use Focused Force Palm to break it. Don’t forget to obtain the Abyss Cell. Continue into the cave to find and loot the treasure chest containing the Helm.
Skyblazer Cloth Armor Location
You can loot the Skyblazer Cloth Armor chestpiece from a secret treasure chest behind a rotating wall at the Sanctum of Devotion in Delesyia.
You don’t have to solve the Sanctum puzzle, but it might be helpful to clear the enemies around. Or go straight for the wall and use Force Palm with Resist on it.
Hang onto the wall, use Resist and activate Force Palm to flip the wall and find yourself on the inside where the treasure chest awaits you.
Skyblazer Cloth Cloak Location
You can find the Skyblazer Cloth Cloak in a hidden room at the top of the highest tower of Fort Windridge in southwestern Delesyia.
Kneel and use Force Palm downward to turn the rotating slab and enter the room below. Then loot the chest inside.
Skyblazer Leather Gloves Location
You can loot the Skyblazer Leather Gloves from a treasure chest inside the Serpent Scale Cave, located behind Benus River’s tall waterfall. It is located straight south from the letter “L” of Delesyia on the map.
Lascaux Leather Boots Location
The Lascaux Leather Boots don’t have the same name as the rest of the items from this outfit, but that’s what Balthazar is wearing, so we consider it part of this outfit.
You can loot Lascaux Leather Boots from a secret treasure chest at Stoneward Castle Ruins. Find the rotating secret L-shaped stone door. The door is marked with a flat square.
Stand in front of it and use Force Palm. This will cause the door to rotate on its horizontal axis and bring you inside the secret room with the chest. Use the same trick to get out.
Hwando Two-Handed Sword Location
Hwando is a traditional Korean single-edged military sword. You can loot it from a treasure chest on the second floor of the smaller building at the Lioncrest Manor complex northwest of Hernand city.
Hwando is now officially part of the Skyblazer set, but its style and design fit well. Plus, it’s a weapon you can get very early in the game.
Shield Choice
Since this set utilizes the Hwando, you will not be actively using a shield. You can choose whichever you have available that will give you the most defense. If you choose to hide the inactive weapons out of combat, you will not see the shield on your back.
