This guide will show you what the Hungering Fang Leather set (Ludvig’s armor) looks like, what unique benefits it provides, and how to get it in Crimson Desert!
Appearance
The Hungering Fang Leather set is obtainable by all players in Crimson Desert and features a nondescript pelt cloak over layers of embroidered brown and tan leather with Pailunese cerulean and burn orange accent colors.

The set does not have a shield or helmet. The lore text on the sword references dual wielding, and the Black Bear’s Melted Ambition matches perfectly, both visually and thematically.
We recommend hiding the bow when not in use and pairing it with Imbue Lightning.

Acquisition
You can obtain the Hungering Fang Leather set from 5 locations across Pailune, mostly near Pailune City.
Spoiler Warning for Chapter VII: Homecoming
Hungering Fang Helmet Location
There is no Hungering Fang Leather Helmet and Ludvig is never shown wearing one. As Ludvig is the leader of the Jackals, you could wear the Jackals’ Leather Helm, but it doesn’t match the Hungering Fang Leather Cloak, nor do any of the Bear Helms.
We recommend hiding your helmet when using this set and just wearing whatever you currently have upgraded.
Hungering Fang Chestpiece Location
You can loot the Hungering Fang Leather Gloves from a chest at Ancient Mine Site Ruins VI on the northeast side of Pailune City after completing Chapter VII: Homecoming.

Hungering Fang Cloak Location
You receive the Hungering Fang Leather Cloak (and Boots) after defeating Ludvig in Pailune City during Chapter VII: Homecoming.

Hungering Fang Gloves Location
You can loot the Hungering Fang Leather Gloves from a chest at Ancient Mine Site Ruins IV on the northwest side of Pailune City after completing Chapter VII: Homecoming.

Hungering Fang Boots Location
You receive the Hungering Fang Leather Boots (and Cloak) after defeating Ludvig in Pailune City during Chapter VII: Homecoming.

Hungering Fang Sword Location
Red Rage is Ludvig’s sword, and its lore description explains that it is meant to be dual wielded. Melted Ambition is Myurdin’s sword and matches perfectly from a visual standpoint and fits thematically because Ludvig was such a devout follower of Myurdin despite leading the Jackals rather than the Black Bears.
You can’t get Myurdin’s armor either, leaving this as your best option to pair with his sword.
Red Rage Location
You can loot Red Rage from a chest at Ancient Mine Site Ruins III in the center of Pailune City after completing Chapter VII: Homecoming.

Melted Ambition Location
You receive Melted Ambition after defeating Myurdin at Ashclaw Keep in Pailune during Chapter VII: Homecoming, right when you get locked into playing as Oongka for the remainder of the chapter.

If you want to go for a matching look, put Melted Ambition in the mainhand slot and Red Rage in the offhand/shield slot.
