Learn how to complete the Timberdale Gorge Ancient Ruins Puzzle in Crimson Desert. These ancient ruins must first be cleared of water then have power redirected to activate the Abyss Cresset.

There are two similar puzzles located not far from each other. If you are looking for the other Timberdale Ancient Ruins puzzle, we have a guide for it as well. It features similar mechanics, but instead of water, the ruins are covered with thorn bushes you have to burn first.

Where to find the Timberdale Gorge Ancient Ruins

The Timberdale Gorge Ancient Ruins is found in southwest Delessyia just east of the Sanctum of Devotion and southwest of the “D” in “Dewhaven” on the map.

The area is submerged in water, preventing you from completing the puzzle. Towards the north of the structure is a broken wall. Use a Turning Slash to let the water out so you can complete the puzzle.

Solve the Switch Puzzle

There are various tiles that are either depressed or protruding. Using Force Palm, Force Current, or Focused Shot on a protruding tile will press it in and activate other tiles in cardinal directions.

Force Current is recommended for this puzzle as Focused Shot may activate too many tiles with its power.

If at any point you mess up the tile puzzle, an easy way to reset it is to travel to a nearby Abyss Nexus. There’s one nearby, southewest of the puzzle.

South Wall Solution

For the first wall towards the south, press the far left and right right tiles to move the power flow to the west wall.

West Wall Solution

The second wall has a 3×3 tile pattern. Activate the center left then top right tiles to activate power on the east wall.

East Wall Solution

The final wall will have a 5×3 tile pattern. Activate the center left, top middle, bottom fourth, and top right tiles to complete the puzzle.

Reward and Chest

You’ll activate an Abyss Cresset to get an artifact and a fast travel point as a reward for completing this puzzle. On the top of the east wall is a small chest with random loot near a dead tree.
