Spire of the Sun Puzzle Walkthrough in Crimson Desert

Learn how to complete the Spire of the Sun in Crimson Desert. This spire will require you to redirect beams of light to activate, we’ll show you how to adjust the mirrors to angle the light to open up the spire.

The Spire of the Sun is the first puzzle in a chain of Abyss puzzles and challenges. The order of this chain is as follows:

1. Spire of the Sun (this one)
2. Nest of Valor
3. Throne of Truth
4. Dimensional Labyrinth
5. Sanctum of Transcendence

How to reach the Spire of the Sun

You can find The Spire of the Sun in the western portion of the Crimson Desert. It’s south of the apostrophe in “Forebearer’s Barrens” in the map. Access to this spire is tied to Chapter IX of the Main Quests.

While you can open up the spire at any point, you cannot use the spire’s Abyss Gate until Chapter IX. After purifying the golden statues in The Calling, you can read stone tablets engraved with secrets.

One of these tablets will start the quest Crossing Point within the Thinning Blade quest line. Once you have obtained this quest, you can access the Abyss Gate within the Spire of the Sun after solving the puzzle.

Preparing for the trip

This Spire will be within the Crimson Desert, so it’s going to get hot. Along with this, there will be a tough fight ahead, so it’ll be good to have the following:

• Food or equipment that increases Heat Resistance
• Food that stores a good amount of health and spirit
• Armed Combat Level 5
• Turning Slash Level 2 or 3
• Forward Slash Level 3
• Vault
• Aerial Maneuver (Axiom Force)
• Force Palm Level 3
• Frost Mantle
• 4+ Health Upgrades
• 4+ Stamina Upgrades

Solve the first puzzle

On the north side of the spire’s sand pit is an Abyss Nexus. Activate it then go to the east side to start the first puzzle. You find a crystal emitting a laser and it’s being reflected by a series of mirrors.

Facing east, move the bottom right mirror to the right and this will redirect the laser to the next puzzle on the south end of the spire.

Solve the second puzzle

When you reach the puzzle on the south end of the spire, you’ll find that this puzzle is being far from solved. If you want to give this a shot before learning the solution, think in reverse. Start by where the arched crystal is then work backwards to find the path of the laser.

If you’re just looking for the solution, look no further! I have labeled the five movable mirrors on square columns as A, B, C, D, and E. To solve the puzzle facing south, you’ll need to:

1. Move A to the right.
2. Move B left then down.
3. Move C left, left, then down.
4. Move D up and left.
5. Move E down.

Redirect the mirrors inside the spire

With the spire door open, your last goal is to go up the spire and redirect the mirrors so the laser hits the next mirror above. When you do this, stairs will activate and allow you to ascend.

Once you reach the top, the Abyss Gate will open and lead you to the Nest of Valor. There’s a tough fight up ahead, so be sure to stock up on food if you’re low.
