How to get the Knight of Carnage Armor in Crimson Desert: Overview and Stats

This guide will show you what the Knight of Carnage set looks like, what unique benefits it provides, and how to get it in Crimson Desert!

Appearance

The Knight of Carnage set is obtainable by all players in Crimson Desert and features a regal, intricate design adorned with tassels and strips of fabric that probably offer more mobility while preserving a sort of pleated look.

This set is worn by Gregor, Halberd of Carnage, the boss you have to fight to rescue Woosa during Chapter VIII: Blood Coronation. It was not obtainable in-game until Patch 1.13.

Stats

The core Knight of Carnage set consists of 6 fully upgradeable pieces and we’ve included 4 additional pieces that help to complete the look. The armor is wearable by Kliff and Oonka.

As Plate Armor, it features maximum Defense raw unarmed Attack Power. The Cloak provides a foundation for Tier I Flame Resistance that can be completed with Flameward II or higher and the helm offers Daze Immunity.

Acquisition

You can obtain the Knight of Carnage set from a couple different locations in Demeniss. It’s unclear if all of these are meant to be the “final” methods to obtain these items.

Knight of Carnage Armor and Golden Vanguard

You receive the Knight of Carnage Plate Armor and Golden Vanguard for defeating Gregor, the Halberd of Carnage, at Fort Ironclad during the Ashen Steps segment of Chapter VIII: Blood Coronation.

You also receive the Radiant Necklace shortly after defeating him, and while the medallion style and colors work okay, the piece looks a bit too cheap and simple to match the set.

Knight of Carnage Helmet, Cloak, Gloves and Boots Locations

You can purchase the vast majority of the Knight of Carnage Plate set from the Back Alley Shop outside the eastern walls of the Demenissian capital.

Everything but the Knight of Carnage Plate Helm is priced like one-of-a-kind items you accidentally lost, rather than items that are meant to come from a vendor in the first place. It’s possible this is a temporary measure, but if you want the set right now, it will cost you a whopping 4000 Silver.

You’ll probably need to dip into your 401k (withdraw 8 Gold Bars from the Bank) to cover the costs. Make sure you convert those Gold Bars to Silver at a Bank, not just sell them to a vendor. Regular shops only pay 190 per Gold Bar (or 390 for Platinum) but banks will give you 500 per Gold Bar for some reason.

Locations for Recommended Additions

The following items are not officially associated with Gregor, Knight of Carnage, but they match his set really well and aren’t affiliated with any other sets.

Knightlord’s Sword

You can find the Knightlord’s Sword on a weapon stand near an altar at Crescent Lake after defeating Mazzul, the Dark Justiciar, at Burnhand Quarry as part of the House Byron Faction Quest called “The Dark Justiciar”. This quest chain unlocks after completing Chapter VIII: Blood Coronation.

Demeniss Royal Guard Shield

You can take the Demeniss Royal Guard Shield from the crypt beneath the Church of East Demeniss. The shield is resting on an altar behind the right-side at the end of the passage. Pull the lever on the right wall to open the door. Do not open the door on the left; it’s booby-trapped.

Demenissian Hero’s Musket

You can loot the Demenissian Hero’s Musket from a treasure chest in Lost Song Cave, a waterfall cave on the northwest edge of Serpent Marsh, the island with Jijeong Temple between Demeniss and Delesyia.

You may also want to consider the Crimson Warden’s Bow for Kliff.

Stardust Necklace

The Stardust Necklace has no connection to any set, but it’s the best visual match for this set by far, in my opinion.

You can craft the Stardust Necklace after learning the recipe from Accessories of the World, Vol. IV, which you get for completing the Circulating Energy Research Project at the Research Institute at the Great Gate of Urdavah in the western part of the Crimson Desert.
