Appearance
The Helfryn set is obtainable by all players in Crimson Desert and features thick-leather cloak, stylish brown and black leather chest piece, gloves and high boots.
This is Gabriel Caliburn’s outfit. Duke Caliburn is a main story character that you will encounter in Chapter VIII. Blood Coronation, during the Demeniss Bound questline.
Stats
The Helfryn Leather set consists of 6 pieces, 5 of which are upgradeable. It is wearable solely by Kliff. As Leather Armor, it features moderate Defense, Tier I Lightning Resistance, and a little bit of extra Critical Rate on unarmed attacks.
For some reason, the Cloak is not upgradeable and offers Ice Resistance Lv 5 instead of the standard Lightning Resistance Lv 3 given to Leather Cloaks.

Acquisition
You can obtain the Helfryn set from 6 different locations in Demeniss.
Helfryn Chestpiece Location
You can loot the Helfryn Chestpiece from a chest in a hidden room up in the bell tower in City of Demeniss.
Climb the tower on the southwest side. Below the protruding slab near the top, there is a narrow wall you can push inward to access the hidden room with the treasure chest.
Helfryn Leather Cloak Location
You can find the Healfryn Leather Cloak in a treasure chest in the attic of a two-story house near the north city wall of the City of Demeniss. Open the window and climb through.
You can access the house itself from many entry points. It is a normal house, like many others. And it’s empty, so if you feel like it, you can play a thief and loot some of the items inside.
But the attic where the treasure chest is, is only accessible through the window on the south facade of the house.
Helfryn Leather Gloves Location
You can loot the Helfryn Leather Gloves from a treasure chest in a hidden room up in one of the towers on the north city wall of the City of Demeniss.
There is a rotating wall segment up near the top of the tower, on its south side. Climb to it, use Resist and Force Palm to push and rotate it to access the hidden room.
Helfryn Leather Boots Location
You can loot the Helfryn Leather Boots from a chest in a secret room in a broken part of the southeastern wall of the city of Demeniss.
Use Force Palm to break the wooden fence and enter inside the small chamber to loot the treasure chest.
Righteous Vedrict Two-Handed Sword Location
You can obtain Righteous Vedrict in a secret underground chamber in the very bottom of the map, in Nightfell Expedition Camp. The camp is originally red (hostile) and you can opt to liberate it or sneak inside the cave unnoticed.
When you get past the narrow tunnel and arrive at the waterfall, take the left side and cross the gap using the improvised bridge out of two logs. Go behind the waterfall.
You will enter the Demeniss Ancestors’ Ruins. Keep moving forward past the two large doors (push to open them). You will see the sword at the end of the corridor. Pull it out of the stone and it’s yours.
The sword has a unique name, but its lore text confirms that this sword used to belong to Gabriel Caliburn, the wearer of the Helfryn Leather set.
Helfryn Necklace Location
You can craft the Helfryn Necklace with Accessories of the World, Vol. II, or you can get it as a random drop from Jewelry Boxes, commonly found in Noble’s homes and at banks.
Tips to achieve the perfect outfit
You could hide the shield on your back as well as hide the helmet you are wearing but keep their stats. Remember, even if you are not using a shield in combat, but have one slotted, it still provides defense bonuses.
This is the complete outfit worn by Gabriel Caliburn, but if you want to pretend that you look like someone or something else, your imagination could bring you to one of the following ideas: a pirate, an assassin, even a witch hunter.
If you have played any of the Assassin’s Creed Games, you might find some similarities and possible inspirations Pearl Abyss devs may have taken from Ubisoft’s series.
The Helfryn set reminds me of Mentor’s Armor from Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Or maybe it’s inspired by Bloodbourne? In any case, it’s one of the best-looking sets in the game!
If you let your imagination go even further, you might even notice similarities to the witch hunters’ outfits from The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
Last, but not least, you can pretend to be a pirate while wearing the Helfryn Armor Set. If you have a cat pet, while standing idle, the cat will jump on your shoulder. It’s not a parrot, but… close enough. Don’t forget to get the Pirate King Hat from the pirate ship southeast of Vellua in southern Hernand. The hat has a unique feature – it detects nearby treasures.
With Update 1.04.00, Pearl Abyss added birds as pets. Now your ultimate pirate fantasy becomes an actual reality.
