How to get the Golden Free Company's Armor in Crimson Desert: Overview and Stats

This guide will show you what the Golden Free Company set looks like, what unique benefits it provides, and how to get it in Crimson Desert!

Appearance

The Golden Free Company’s set is obtainable by all players in Crimson Desert and features a combination of golden plate armor and the only Aladdin pants in the game.

This set is worn by the Twilight Messengers who are led by Merrick, Knight of Fortune, so it bears a strong resemblance to his Golden Greed set.

Stats

The core Golden Free Company’s set consists of 6 fully upgradeable pieces and is wearable solely by Kliff. Since the named set is not completely obtainable or wearable, we’ve taken some creative liberties to differentiate it from the Golden Greed set.

As Plate Armor, it features maximum Defense raw unarmed Attack Power. The Cloak provides a foundation for Tier I Flame Resistance that can be completed with Flameward II and some pieces also count as a disguise for the Twilight Messengers.

Acquisition

You can obtain the Golden Greed set from the Crimson Mountains Fortress in the Crimson Desert and via crafting.

Twilight Messengers’ Helmet and Boots

Both the Golden Free Company’s Plate Helm and Armor are worn by the Twilight Messengers and drop like candy from them.

You can find the Twilight Messengers primarily at the (blockaded) Crimson Mountains Fortress east of Tommaso in the Tashkalp Region of the Crimson Desert, but you can otherwise purchase them from the Equipment Shop there during peacetime.

Twilight Messengers’ Cloak Location

There is no Twilight Messengers or Golden Free Company Cloak, and the Golden Greed Plate Cloak is the closest available option by far.

You can loot the Golden Greed Plate Cloak from a chest in Venomblade Grotto, the northeasternmost waterfall cave on the Red River at the edge of the jungle separating Delesyia from the Crimson Desert.

The Beighen Cloth Cloak is a solid alternative if you wish to avoid the Golden Greed set entirely.

Twilight Messengers’ Gloves Location

There are no available Twilight Messengers or Golden Free Company Plate Gloves, but the Dulone Plate Gloves match the rest of the set pretty well.

You can craft the Dulone Plate Gloves after learning the recipe from Plate Armors of the World, Vol. IV (Addendum), which you get for completing the Future Protective Material Research Project at the Delesyian Institute in Marniville.

Another wonderful alternative is the Champion’s Plate Gloves (formerly Combat God’s Plate Gloves).

Twilight Messengers’ Boots Location

There are no official Twilight Messengers or Golden Free Company’s Boots, but the Sahazad Plate Boots have that Arabian upward pointed toe style that matches the Aladdin pants perfectly.

You can purchase the Sahazad Plate Boots from the Crimson Mountains Fortress Equipment Shop (the same place you got the Golden Free Company set pieces) or the Varnia Equipment Shop.

Twilight Messengers’ Sword Location

There is no official One-Handed Weapon associated with the Golden Free Company’s set, but the Golden Sword is the clear winner.

You can loot the Golden Sword from the middle of the Vault of Vengeance, an Abyss Puzzle that starts from the Spire of the Stars during Chapter IV: The Price of Knowledge.

Twilight Messengers’ Bow Location

You can learn to craft the Twilight Messengers’ Bow with Ranged Weapons of the World – Bows, Vol. III, which you can steal from a bookshelf in Demeniss Castle.

Twilight Messengers’ Shield Locations

The Gilded Shield comes in both regular and Large sizes, both of which are used regularly by the Twilight Messengers, so it comes down to personal preference. Both are craftable but drop regularly from the Twilight Messengers at Crimson Mountains Fortress in the Crimson Desert.

Gilded Shield

You can craft the Gilded Shield after learning the recipe from Shields of the World, Vol. III, which you can steal from a bookshelf inside Demeniss Castle.

Large Gilded Shield

You can craft the Large Gilded Shield after learning the recipe from Shields of the World, Vol. II, which you can steal from a bookshelf near the Orb Roll tables at the Great Gate of Urdavah in the Crimson Desert.

Kuku Lightning Spear Location

The Twilight Messengers often wield Lightning Spears, so the Kuku Lightning Spear is an excellent pairing for the Golden Free Company set.

You can craft the Kuku Lightning Spear at Kilnden Workshop in west central Hernand after receiving the Blueprint from Elowen, the Red Witch of Wisdom, by purifying the Sanctum of Temperance next to Pororin and the Hernand Highlands in eastern Hernand.
