This guide will show you what the Scorchflame Plate set looks like, what unique benefits it provides, and how to get it in Crimson Desert!
Appearance
The Scorchflame Plate set is obtainable by all players in Crimson Desert and features unique plate dragon embellishments on top of a solid background with ornate dagging coming from the shoulders and frills around the shield, all meant to evoke dragon flames.

You’ll definitely want to Imbue Fire with this set, and we’ve included a few extras to further serve that end.
Stats
The Scorchflame set consists of 7 fully upgradeable pieces and is wearable solely by Kliff.
While the set boasts high Defense thanks to its Plate Armor foundation, the upgrade path and number of Abyss Gear sockets are unique.
The base Scorchflame Plate Armor is not upgradeable, but you can take it to Kilnden Workshop to upgrade it to Kuku Flame-Resistant Armor, which comes upgraded to Tier 5.
Both the chestpiece and the shield have special abilities in lieu of Abyss Gear sockets. The chestpiece also offers Critical Rate Lv 3 alongside Plate-level Defense, helping to further compensate for the lack of sockets.
Still, the customization offered by the Scorchflame set is quite limited, so while this set is powerful, it’s also restrictive. Unless you want to trade the fabulous Scorchflame cape for the Plate Cloak of the Shadows, you’ll also need to slot in a Flameward III Abyss Gear to get full Fire immunity, meaning you only have 4 Armor sockets and 3 Weapon sockets to work with.
As a side note, the Footwear appears to be mistyped and misnamed as Leather, trading Defense for a useless single point in Lightning Resistance, and despite being properly called Plate, the Helm lacks Daze Immunity.

Acquisition
You can obtain the Scorchflame Plate set from separate locations across Demeniss, Hernand, and Pailune.
Scorchflame Helmet Location
You can loot the Scorchflame Plate Helm from the second floor of a storage tower at Stonewell Farm along the border between Demeniss and Hernand, southwest of the Hills of No Return.

Scorchflame Chestpiece Location
Remember, the base Scorchflame Plate Armor is not upgradeable, but you’ll need it to make the Kuku Flame-Resistant Armor that is upgradeable and comes with some unique effects.
Scorchflame Plate Armor Location
You can loot the Scorchflame Plate Armor from a treasure chest behind a rotating door at Golden Trading Post in western Demeniss. To get through the door, crouch or slide under it.

Since the Scorchflame Plate Armor is not upgradeable, there is little reason to wear it in Demeniss. Instead, you’ll want to upgrade it to the Kuku Flame-Resistant Armor.
Kuku Flame-Resistant Armor Location
You can craft the Kuku Flame-Resistant Armor at Kilnden Workshop in Hernand after obtaining the Blueprint for it.

The Blueprint for Kuku Flame-Resistant Armor is your reward for cleansing the Sanctum of Deliverance at Stormtalon Ridge in Hernand.

To craft it, you’ll need an Enhanced Kuku Pot, the Scorchflame Plate Armor, a Power Core – Casket of Illusions, and the Core of Absolution.
Scorchflame Cloak Location
You can loot the Scorchflame Cloak from a treasure chest behind a trick wall at Silent Falls Hideout, an unmarked cave near Twilight Grotto on the border between Demeniss and Hernand. To get through the wall, cling to it, Resist, and then use Force Palm.

Scorchflame Gloves and Volcanic Location
You receive the Scorchflame Gloves for defeating Tristan, the Flame Knight, at Flame Knights Castle in western Demeniss during the House Azerian quest Flame Knights.

The Scorchflame Gloves come pre-socketed with Volcanic Retribution that pairs nicely with the fiery theme of the set.
Scorchflame Boots Location
You can loot the Scorchflame Leather Boots from Cascade Grotto, a waterfall cave on the border between Demeniss and Hernand, southeast of the Hills of No Return.

Scorchflame Sword Location
You can loot the Spada Sword from Flame Knights Castle in western Demeniss after defeating Tristan, the Flame Knight, at Flame Knights Castle in western Demeniss during the House Azerian quest Flame Knights.

Scorchflame Shield Location
You can loot the Drake Shield from Flame Knights Castle in western Demeniss after defeating Tristan, the Flame Knight, at Flame Knights Castle in western Demeniss during the House Azerian quest Flame Knights.

Golden Vanguard Location
The Golden Vanguard is a Halberd that isn’t formally associated with Tristan or the Flame Knights, but you get it around the same time, and it matches perfectly, so we recommend using it alongside the set.
You receive the Golden Vanguard for defeating Gregor, the Halberd of Carnage, at Fort Ironclad in Demeniss near the beginning of Chapter VIII: Blood Coronation.

Groundsurge Abyss Gear Location
Groundsurge is an Abyss Gear that comes socketed into Melted Ambition, your reward for besting Myurdin near the end of Chapter VII: Homecoming at Ashclaw Keep in Pailune.

Flames of Judgment Abyss Gear Location
Flames of Judgment is an Abyss Gear that comes socketed into the Eclipsed Solas Plate Gloves, your reward for defeating Bastier at the Spire of Clockwork at the end of Chapter VIII: Blood Coronation.
