Vulkk by Vulkk|

The Memory-Laden Ruins puzzle requires you to press four stone tiles to open the door and obtain the Abyss Artifact. We will show you how to access the ruins, how to reach the main room and how to solve the puzzle.

Where to find the Memory-Laden Ruins

Near the eastern border of the continent of Pywel, in Delesyia’s jungles, there is an ancient ruin covered with thorns.

The location is in the northern parts of Beardtree Hills, north of Beardtree Hills Hearts, east of the Swamp Ruins, and south of the Verdant Valley Ruins complex.

How to access the Memory-Laden Ruins

On the surface, you will see a few white-brick half-destroyed walls with lots of overgrown thorns. These thorns are always a strong signal of secrets, treasures and valuables nearby. Burn them with a fire arrow, Blinding Flash, the Flame Elemental attack, or whatever other fun method you prefer.

Read the Map

After you access the underground complex, at the bottom of the stairs, to your right, you will see the map with four markings.

You have already solved several of these ancient ruins puzzles, so you know that the four markings show locations nearby that you are supposed to visit to find the symbols and press the corresponding stone tiles in the main chamber ahead.

Where to find the symbols

It is not mandatory to go by yourself to find the symbols. This time around, they are quite difficult to spot, especially if you are exploring during night time.

The symbols are all close to each other, north from the ruins, around the banks of the Red River. The symbols are painted on large old trees.

Past the room with the map, use your bow to shoot the ropes and lower down the wooden platforms. Then use precise Jumps to safely cross to the other side. If the door is locked, you will need a (regular) key to unlock it.

Shoot the ropes on the right side. The steel door opens to the left, which will make your return more difficult if you choose the platforms on the other side.

Facing the small chamber with the Abyss Cresset, turn to your left. You need to press all four stone tiles on the left side of the room as you face the Cresset. It doesn’t matter in what order you press them.

Rewards

A couple of seconds after you push all four correct tiles, the door will open, allowing you to access the Abyss Cresset where the Abyss Artifact is waiting for you.

Solving the Memory-Laden Ruins puzzle also awards you with the Forgotten Memory crystal, which reveals the locations of caves in Delesyia.
