Learn how to complete the Cradle of Truth Puzzle in Crimson Desert. You’ll need to survive numerous beams of lasers as you escort a power source to the other side. This guide will help make sure you reach the other side safely.
The Cradle of the Truth is the fifth in a series of Abyss Puzzles. The order of this puzzle chain is as follows:
- Spire of Frost
- Passage of Malice
- Tomb of Perdition
- Desert Fragment
- Cradle of Truth (this one)
When you arrive at the Cradle of Truth, you’ll see an obscene amount of lasers blocking the path between you and the cradle. This guide will show you the intended way, and a shortcut method to avoid the lasers entirely.
Solving the Cradle of Truth (Normal Method)
At the Abyss Nexus, you’ll find a square power source that’s on fire. Dip it in the nearby pool of water to cool it down, or use the Frost Mantle ability next to it. Place the power source into the socket to activate the moving platforms ahead.
Ahead there are five pairs of floating pillars with Axiom Force switches. Activating these will rotate all the other pillars and pillars with lasers clockwise. Don’t try to stand on top of these, they’re electrified on top.
There are thin pillars that are fixed in place. These thin pillars have lasers that move up and down. You’ll have no choice but to dodge these to the best of your ability.
Activate the switch twice to get past the first pair of pillars. Activate the pillars twice to get past the second pair, and pick up the power source below and to the west.
Activate the third and fourth pair of pillars three times to get past them. The fifth pair will have lasers coming at you regardless of their orientation. Activate the last pair once and jump over the laser, or activate it four times and duck under the laser.
Place the power source into the socket and activate the big switch to get the Abyss Artifact.
Cradle of Truth Shortcut
This is the method you’ll want to use to avoid all of the lasers entirely. Put out the flames of the first power source and move it up high. Jump on top of one of the forward pillars and move the power source even higher.
Double jump and Aerial Force Palm 3 times. Grab onto the power source and glide all the way across and place the power source into the socket.
Loot the small chest
On the southeast side of the final platform is a chest that will contain random loot. This could be money, upgrade materials, or Abyss Gears.
